Introduction

First of all I would like apologize fr my not perfect English, because I’m only a writer an not a professional translater.

I’m still learning it.

Therefore it is possible to find some mistakes inside text.

I have already written several tourist guides dedicated to most famous Italian art cities.

This new guide is about a old city, famous for its porches, Grande square and some very famous and delicioius cooking dishes: lasagna, ragù, tortellini, then its mortadella.

Its most important icon is Asinelli Tower, that stands out in the central area.

You have got that I’m talking about Bologna, Emilia Romagna capital, homeland of our famous past and actual singers: two of them are Lucio Dalla and Gianni Morandi.

I’m not an expert about tourism or travel, then I’m not a journalist.

I haven’t link to brands, products mentioned during the treatment.

I’m a retired doctor and for more three years I have been also working as independent writer.

I’ve found most of information in official web sites and most important national media.

Author of this book probably is known for most of readers, so it is better to make his presentation.

Fabio Basile is born in 1963 in Stresa, on the Maggiore Lake.

In 1974 he moved with his family to Milan.

Here he has reached at University degree in medicine and surgery, the specialization in dentistry and oral surgery.

For almost twenty years he managed a personal dentist studio.

In 2014, after a serious desease of nervous system he have had to left his job forever.

For more than three years he has been working as independent writer.

Author has already written many books, especially practical guides, about several subjects.

So it has been necessary to rewrite them.

He has the already written and translated in English several tourist guides about Italy: most important art cities and its sea.

Unfotunately a part of them have been lost because technical problems.

So it has been necessary to rewrite them.
