They are the enemy within and there’s no escaping them.
Family is all we have. A family is the richest blessings in life. They are for eternity.
Live life out loud, and laugh at yourself. Let the heavens speak truth to you. Run with the wind and capture the essence of your soul. Spread your winds and transcend beyond space and time.

OUR FAMILY
Our family, we love them. They are of us, and we are of them. We are the same, and yet, the obvious differences show. We are together, equal and alike; and yet, we are separate and opposite. Our family is good-natured, lovable, loyal, and they willingly share with us. Yet they are selfish, formidable, forceful, and they can quickly become the enemy within. They support us and sustain us, yet they tear into our flesh and break our hearts. They are our best friends, and yet, they can be our worst enemies.
The family is the winds beneath our wings. They bear us up so that we can soar and touch the sky. They’re as important to us as the cables are on a suspension bridge. Our family is our best cheerleaders, and they cheer us on to glory. But they are our worst critics, and their words are caustic. They tear us down, destroy us, and trample on us. The family is our strong tower, and our foundation; and yet they pull us down in the mire and step on us.
We are as drawn to the family as a moth is to a flame. Yet we repel them like they are toxic. Our family gives us peace and joy. And they reach up and pull down the moon and stars for us. And yet they hurt so and cause such pain. Our family can be so agreeable and polite to us, and then without warning, they turn on us and are mean-spirited and offensive. They encourage us to dream big and reach up for the stars, yet they hold us back and stifle us. Think how far you could have gone without them holding us back. But where would you be without the family? The family is the strongest glue that binds, and they hold us together when we’re falling apart.
Our family is the best of us, and they are the worst of us. They’re our heart and soul, and they push us to soar higher and higher. The family gives us freedom and supports our free spirit nature. And yet, they imprison us, and they shackle us with responsibilities and hardheartedly bind us to them. We need them so, and they need us too.
The family sustains us and drives us to greatness, all the while driving us insane. Some of us attain fame, and some of us cause shame. We’re still family all the same. Most of our families are full of eccentrics, dysfunctional, and codependent personalities...how insane! Still, we love them so, all while hating them.
Some of us have family that is erratics, wild, and crazy personalities. And others that are fun-loving, true-blue, and show up for us every time. Sometimes they drive us to madness, and all we feel for them is intense hatred. But no stranger can come between us. We love to pull them in close to our breasts, and we provide a shoulder for their head to rest. And yet, there are times we shut them out and keep them afar. At the end of the day, we really can’t do without them no matter how twisted and complicated our relationships. We love them so, but it’s so hard to like them.
Just as the earth goes through the seasons and changes, so does a family relationship. There is often so much friction in our family relationships. It’s because we know each other secrets and what buttons to push and get the other person going. Though we relate to each other by blood, heart, and soul; we are still different. We are individuals. Our family falls in love, and we fall out of love with each other. We fight like cats and dogs. We break up, and we make up because deep inside genuine love abide.
