COLONISATION

UPAYCHELBETA MAR

Additional erssavis transporting ini from ZerShaz arrived. Rare those of ZerShaz migrate. My potency is the impetus for the arrivants were not the mates of ZeSha in service to me, there were ini who would gain mate here, on Beta Mar.

I had created ZerShaz cities on this previously human occupied planet. My predessor had begun building in a large 'protected area'. Recognising the significance, I would not expand beyond current level.  My cities were on islands which had slight occupation, so the removal of residence was simple. Now I elected a region within a continent. A huge fertile area, teeming with life.  It would be my major city.

David Scorpio stood before me. He was the 'Chief Liason Officer.'  He spoke my language as I spoke his. He thought he knew my culture, which he did not.  I do not assume, as he does, for much of what humans are taught and believe is untrue, or fragments of truth.

He stands before me, explaining that 'Milestream Park' was a nature reserve. Of this I aware, capable of reading maps.  Erssavis had landed, ini currently employed planting and building. Once the city completes, greater quantities of materials transported from Zechia required to build erssavi. I intended to have more ships than all but Ki-ZerShaz.

"You may cease petitioning," I advise Scorpio who had been babbling for many emis.

"I hope my words have found favour," he replies in Shaz.

"That I permit you to speak should never be mistaken for consideration of your concept. I permit you to speak as I gain greater fluency in your language. I am not influenced by your opinions save were I to request your analysis. What you call "Milestream Park" is now the city of Bascar, and no human is allowed within ten kilometers of the borders."

I brought up a map of the planet, indicated; "This area marked; 'Agricultural Reserve' will be the next city, Savna. Those residing within ten kilometers of its border be relocated."

He bristled, but it was slight, not enough for me to note. I sequestered a smile, and because I assumed he capable of comprehension; "We have conquered this world." I state,"I will not interfere in your daily lives. I will, however, gain territory to create cities. Cities wholly of my species."

He met my eyes a moment.

"I am aware of ecology. The settlements compose a fraction of the area, there will be planting. There will not be destruction. As you may be aware, using a term you would comprehend, ZerShaz live with nature, not against it." And then, making myself clear; "To be extremely puerile," I say, "we are not leaving."

I granted him half emi to pose, then waved a finger to dismiss him. When he absent I summon Aides to investigate two other areas which might be suitable.

I did not wish to interfere in the culture of humans, hence elected land with suitable resources distant from their inhabitation.  We would 'share' this world, less they made their presence chaffing. Then they would be relocated to the planet of Shalimar.

Shalimar...

had Shari not entered the Preserve, if the monitor boards had not been activated to locate her, we would not know there were quando soldiers in the jungle, approaching the habitation.

uReglimi, so lax in security, those soldiers could fire a nuclear bomb at the house in which we had been resident. But it was Daktoy, Ki-ZerShaz, who ordered departure from that area as he raced to where Shari was, I and others following.

Shalimar...

Once a human world of self sufficiency, ruled by uReglimi who was more content to sit in a habitation with his human mate than administrate, it was chopped into a double hand of eKhaini, ruled by an  iSaz emanting from our planet of VeRash. Few of VeRash gain position beyond that planet. Ki-ZerShaz elevated this older iKhay who knew little of humans.

It was the lightest of punishments.

The attempt to destroy Ki-ZerShaz could have resulted in the atomisation of this planet; and probably would have, did it not contain the largest animal preserve in the galaxy.

Shalimar, was not made ash because those animals needed to be captured and transported to Zechia. Were another Ki-ZerShaz, Shalimar, all upon it would be atomised.

Another Wonder Day

 ANOTHER WONDER DAY

Jill Chin See uReglimi

Cyti     Zechia

The days spun by, each as nice as the one before. Yesterday was a treat. I'd been on the plaza when I saw the little shuttle. Someone had put my name on the side of it. Jill

Jill

Not Chin See or uReglimi. Just Jill. Written in Roman letters, rather clumsily, but endearing. My eyes filled, but I blinked the tears away. This was not amazing gift, this was what I ought have been given the day I arrived on Zechia.

I blessed this city and asLoutha.  Never had I imagined that what I experienced in Zezki was not 'tal', standard, but a plan of wiShelfa to suppress me and undermine any authority I might gain.  Why should she wish to humble me, I don't need to know. I am not under her control.

I stand and watch the ini pass in styles impossible a year ago. Instead of the dull beige, there were colours and trims and style that would gain the envy of those who were not totally mind dead.
