Rusty Verses closes up to the trilogy of my poetry works I set out to put out to the world. It is the second, and central book, after Stellar Youth and Burify . Its a much lengthier volume, as most pieces are of a great length. The book opens with a poem "Blunt", about a relationship gone bad, because of the couple's way differing views of relationships. I weep the loss of the love of my life to a DJ on "DJ's In Love". I take the readers on a romantic escape in my "Can't Escape" poem, about the power of love.
In "No Longer A Slave", i share a word of encouragement to people out there who like me, might feel stuck in their current various situations at some time in life. Be it sadness, brokeness, bad relationships, oppression among others. "1000 Apologies" was an open letter form one who has not lived his life while with friends, because of being too reserved and wishes things could be a little different now.
Because sharing is caring, I shared a friend's poem he once wrote in my phone's NOTES app as a message to his other half. Its entitled "Epitome To My Love". "Crashed Dream" is about a time when you feel like your dreams have passed by you so fast , and you feel they are way too far for you to reach. Other poems inside here include; "Harmlet, Afraid, Wrecked, Thirsty, He Found Me, among others.
I close the book with a poem about salvation, and I wrote it from a perspective of a lost purpose and also a feeling of hopelessness, and then Christ comes into your life, picks you from your tears and weariness, nad then your life gets back on track, and you can experience true joy and happiness in him; in the poem "Alive Again".
Have a nice reading...

I would like to dedicate this book to my Friends, my three awesome brothers and to my dad for being my biggest inspiration right from my day one of living. To you my friends; who have continuously continued to believe in me even when I had doubt along this journey. Big appreciation to Cindy Atuhurira; for entertaining my ideas as we prepared and put this master piece together. Without her assistance, this book wouldn’t be as enjoyable as you shall find it. I also thank each and every person who I’ve met, be it at school, church, or hangouts; you’ve greatly contributed to the happening of this book. Not forgetting my day ones, who saw the poet in me and to those who genuinely gave me feedback concerning my poetry back in high school. You guys are the real deal.
Preface
I genuinely enjoyed every single bit of compiling these poems and I truly hope you enjoy reading it. Poetry is one of my callings in terms of abilities. It has helped me say what I couldn’t say out with my own lips, plus it has helped me grow immensely as a person, and discovered the beauty and power of words and life. I hope this book lends inspiration to others and spreads positivity; once again, enjoy.
Introduction
The true nature of man is known to me, thanks to the many amazing people I’ve met along this journey called life. But I do know this: creation is one of the highest forms of pleasure, the most insatiable ecstasy, the most liberating intoxication. Creation is what we are meant to do on the planet. And to those with other various callings, I say go forth in this mad world and make it a little more beautiful with your pen, your paintbrush, your guitar, your movement. You see, the creative is he who has transcended the mundane, who has surpassed the ordinary, and ventured beyond the unimaginative. The true artist still believes; he has not let his soul die and for that he is strong. While others allow their spirit to perish, the artist has made a conscious effort to keep it alive and nurture it with the only thing that can do so, creating and sharing.
