When I write erotic fiction I try to find settings that are a bit out of the ordinary, settings and circumstances where people wouldn't usually have sex, for various reasons. In my opinion, it adds spice to my stories. That being said, I don't know anything about selling real estate so anything I mention in this work is purely fictional, based solely on my imagination and not on facts.
Often in erotic fantasy or novels where the heroine is driven by her sexual desires, these women are still portrayed as needy, as the weaker sex who are usually ashamed of or at least feel guilty about their lust, having to be afraid of how society looks upon their actions. They still need men to be the one and only, forever after guy who makes their sexual needs acceptable in society because as long as their needs are directed toward the one guy they'll end up marrying, it's fine. Within that framework they may feel sexy and desirable and wanted.
However, to my mind, this is a very limited view of femininity and lust. My female protagonists have the same right to live their sexuality as their male counterparts without being frowned upon.
My heroines are empowered, they have empowered themselves and they feel good about it. They're proud because they're no longer slaves to the dictations of society's perceptions and rules. My heroines have liberated themselves and live the sexuality they feel they're entitled to.
They allow themselves to enjoy their sexuality, regardless of whether they want a fling or a husband.
So journey with Rebecca as she lives her emotions, sexual desire and passion because she knows that she can.
Rebecca pulled out her phone to check her calendar. It was the end of the day and she was sitting at the desk in her miniscule office, which was little more than a broom closet, and going over her appointments for the following day. She double-checked that she had noted everything down correctly, and not fully trusting technology, she always kept her notes in a paper calendar, too. There were neither secretaries nor employees, it was only Rebecca.
After having worked various jobs and eventually for a real estate agency for the last fifteen years, five months ago she finally decided to work freelance. No small feat for a woman in her mid-forties with a teenage daughter she was raising by herself. It had taken much preparation and especially courage but it was worth it.
Rebecca was great, fantastic even. She had a way with people that made them trust her immediately. She was available, well informed and professional but approachable and friendly at the same time. But most importantly, her friendliness was genuine, not phony. Of course, she wanted to sell; she had to earn a living after all. First and foremost, however, she wanted to make people happy and help them find the apartment of their dreams. It was tough, though, getting to the real estate a step ahead of everyone else. Sometimes she succeeded, other times she did not. It was exhausting.
