Another Interesting Day

ANOTHER INTERESTING DAY

JILL UREGLIMIODIN PATH

Completing the skin grafts, I put the ZeSha into the charge of his Aide and sent each of my 'zeduini' to select a patient for herself. I would monitor their activities.

It was so odd that these young ini who never went to medical school, hadn't even been a medical aide, would learn so much, so quickly and be so adept.

With so many burn victims, due to the explosion of an erssavi, I would never get through the work in a month without help.   But these ini were more than just help.   Witnessing the first operation, I knew I had a good team, and my role became advisor. I went through all seven, had them select another set, advising I'd not oversee, they would be responsible.

They took the challenge eagerly and pleased with my first chance to truly delegate, I went to lunch in the main galley.I felt successful. Despite misgivings, my team of  'zeduini' were working far better than imagined.

I entered the dining room and out of the corner of my eye noted members of the Odin Path crew taking their meal. I made my selections and carried my tray to an empty table, pondering my solitude.

I sat alone, trying not to notice the Odin Crew whispering, their gaze scornful. I was feeling uncomfortable so I rose to leave, suddenly aware I  wasn't safe. A few of the Crew were advancing on me.

I wanted to think they were coming to ask questions, but knew this was not their intent. I could not run, the exit was towards them. I could not call for help, for there was no one here who would help me.  I'd never known such fear, such certainty I might be physically brutalized in my life. Their faces were twisted, their mouths feral, their eyes pin-prick pupils.

What had I done?

I was a doctor, the ZerSha were patients, I had no choice, no one had choice. No matter what one felt about the injured ZeSha, they were simply patients and I the only doctor.  Yet, the Odin Crew advanced on me, slow, savouring my fear, knowing my weakness. As my heart nearly burst in terror, I heard: "Which one of you wants to die first?"

And I never blessed Sharon's advent more.

Walking In On It

 WALKING IN ON IT

SHARON FEINSTEINODIN PATH

Arriving at the Odin I was escorted to the galley.  I was kind of hungry but as we stepped into the dining room I see one set of crew moving as a lynch mob, and who were they going for? Jill. Pitiful can't mash ants,  Jill.

"Which one of you wants to die first?"  I blasted.

The Odin bunch stopped moving, turned, saw me, saw the Zees, began to meander to the sides of the galley, giving Jill a passage out.  She hurries towards me, then into the corridor.

I order the Zees; "Gather them to secure chamber,"  making a circle with my arm to take in all of those in the room, then go out.   Jill was standing in the corridor so scared she was trembling.  I pushed her into the lift, "Hanger 7.", I call, for getting her out of here the best choice.

I actually didn't want the Odin Crew to be murdered, but thats what would happen if the Zees saw how upset Jill was. That's the reason why I was doing it.

"Oh Sharon, I was so--" She was now hysterical.

"Calm down. We'll go to an erssavi, " I say, trying to organise the situation. "But you got to calm down."

"Yes, yes, you're right--I never should have--I didn't---."

We reached the hangar, I summoned a Zee to take us to a ship; "The uMerickya." Jill supplies, getting into a VeDak then, "Sharon, I have never been happier to see you!" And she starts crying again.

The Zee is squashed on his side, trying not to rub up against Jill, Me, I have to go to the bathroom.

As we got into the uMerickya, I was recognised, got the homage. I ordered the entire hurman crew of the Odin to be dumped on the island of Brykfym on Zechia. Then I demanded a private room on board the erssavi. An oRain says: "Lady, all chambers are occupied, but the one to which I escort you is most frequented by the Doctor."

"Good and don't say a word about me being here, or nothing."

He bowed his head, but it was pointless, since everyone must know by now I'm here, but still.  I'm trying to get balanced, don't know what's playing. I mean, I've taken charge, I've spoken in Shaz, and I'm feeling like me.

I don't have time to grok what's running, for as we get into the cabin, I see we aren't alone. There was an oTay and a really horrible looking ZeSha who was lying on a flater by the window. I didn't want to look good at him, cause I'd probably puke.

I went into the toilet, emptied my bladder. When I came out sent the oTay for symenthe.  He looks at me, at Jill, then obeys. I push her to sit on the sampi, which is about seven feet from Burn Up. I put my back to him, poured Jill some water.
