THROUGH THE EYES OF A POET

With my third eye, which is the poet’s eye, I see and view things with an eagle’s eye, or a critical eye.

And, the things I see, make me wonder why, I see things from this “eye,” from this perspective?

Through these “eyes,” I see the present, the past and the future which are mine. I see the world in ancient of times and present of days.

I see into the depths of time, through visions and dreams. I see that everything is not as it seems, or as it is made out to be.

I see how fragile humanity is, how in the split of a second, situations and people can change. How easily we exchange the good for the bad and the new for the old. Somehow, we forget the ancient stories of the old that helped us to mould our society.

I see what I must see. I see what I want to see, but I am still eager to see more.

Because I believe there is more to you and me.

PERFECTION THROUGH IMPERFECTION

A broken world, a fallen glass, a yellow blade of grass, things fall apart, but it’s all a part of perfection.

High expectation, high levels of frustration, falling short of aspiration, surely this is imperfection, but it’s all a part of perfection.

Perfection is even found in its opposite, which is imperfection. So this means that even in imperfection there is perfection.

A disfigured face, an imperfect time or space, even in the middle of disgrace, this is all part of perfection.

A lack of expression, powerful forces of attraction or alienation, a tiny extraction, a nervous examination, whether you fail or pass, it’s all a part of perfection.

Perfect timing, perfect beginning, perfect gathering, but what may seem perfect to you may not seem perfect to me.

Perfection through imperfection!

TRIUMPH!!!

I was born to see the sun, I was born to overcome I was born to be the one, to triumph! Triumph over adversity and mediocrity and everything that life tries to throw at me. Triumph!

Triumph through heartache and pain, confusion and strain, disappointment and restraint, triumph! Triumph in victory and song, through music and dance, when the lights go on and the stage is set, triumph! Triumph in the marketplace and in the private space.

Triumph! Triumph! Triumph! Triumph!

Triumph in the public space and as a people in humanity, triumph! Triumph like light over darkness. Triumph like sunrise over sunset in the dawn. Triumph like love over hate, so true that you must celebrate. Triumph!

Triumph like winning over losing and talking about the good feeling!

Triumph! Triumph! Triumph! Triumph!
