Beschreibung

This work was inspired by the muse in me. There is a rendition of a dialogic Mesmerism of play with meaning and words. The author has coined new idioms, new ideas and the narrative proceeds with the contemoporary passion for writing. This work of art is an adventure into the aesthetics of the philosophy of the novel. Philosophical ideas are churned into creative innovations.

A Dream

Last night I had a dream and in it I saw money. I looked up at the dream dictionary and found out that a dream about money signifies wealth, prosperity, self-worth and confidence. I became very awe-struck and elated.

Assorted Tales

Epiphany about the Sunset

The sky is sinking into a dream and there is an exodus of colours crimson, orange and purple. The sky is a cauliflower of Picasso’s cubes. The sky is a diaspora of an ethereal of mystic colours. The sky is chanting a poem of love. The sky is a mystic of calligraphy. The muse is flaming the petals of love. The sky is an orphan with the zeal of a chiaroscuro. The sky is a tempted varnish of eclectic poetry. The sky is an adage of a poetic carnival.

Epiphany about a Butterfly

You muse on wings …you shadow of a dream…you frenzy of poetic madness…you magnificent exhortation of love…you carnival of a poem….you angel of Sodom on wings…you nirvana of a danseuse in flight…you whore of nectar’s pulpit…you reincarnation of a sweet embrace…you carnival of poem…you nectar of ecstasy…you wind-chime   of sensual music.

Reformation

I was taking a class on reformation and I was talking about Martin Luther and the reformation movement. I mentioned the religious crust of Catholicism especially the sale of indulgences and the veneration of Mary as errant sins done to Christianity. Immediately one student got up and said, he is a Catholic and then I had to apologise to him.

Idioms

Sarah’s Womb

In the Old Testament it is said: God opened Sarah’s womb to birth Isaac when she was 100 years old

Sarah’s Womb as an idiom means a happening of something impossible.

If Jehovah Jesus is willing,  I hope that a Sarah’s womb will occur as a winning of the first prize for today’s windfall draw.

Roof over your head

Roof over your head as an idiom means having a life of prosperity, success and fortune.

Assorted

Fictoria

Fictoria  from fiction and euphoria is a neologism and it means a merger of fantasy and reality. If life becomes a fictoria it would be nice.

Aesthnonciousness

Aesthnonciousness is also a neologism and it comes from aesthetics and consciousness and it means getting an aesthetic sensation from the perception of everyday objects. Everyday objects are put in the nuances of feelings. Examples are: the flight of a bird is a mystic poem; the setting of the sun is an ephemeral painting; the dance of the butterfly is an epiphany of prose; the roar of the waves is an ecstasy of passion and so on.

Narrative about Cobwebs

Cobwebs swim lazily on the wall. They are poems dancing with the breeze of the fan. They whisper an echo of prose. They lie like tranquil hymns. They are mad molecules of a fried season. They are tamed cabbages of nostalgia. They are monkeys dancing in the air. They are nature’s solitude. There’s poetry in them. There’s also music in them.

Assorted Tales

The Apartment

Recently I was taken by a real-estate agent to see a luxurious apartment, a three bedroom flat in Kottayam.  Every day I used to phone him saying that I will come but I didn’t turn up. At last he came with his car and picked me up. The apartment on the 9th floor had a panoramic view and one could see the tranquil backwaters. There was a cool breeze which blew in like a ghost when the windows were turned up. He asked me to pay the advance money but I did not have even a single rupee and he said he will come on Monday to collect the money. I wanted to evade him and I told him that my father-in-law passed away and will be not available the week. To speak in reality, I do not have even a single penny. Then I told him that I am taking up a job in Kuwait and I don’t want to purchase the apartment right now. But he persisted and told me if I bought it, I could rent it right now. Yes, I badly want to buy the apartment as I want to booze in the night and have my independence. I am thinking of giving him a post-dated cheque and I am anticipating that I will have big win a lottery draw. Yes, I very much long to possess the apartment of my dreams.

Jumbled Words

Recently I was perusing Facebook and I came across a jumbled word which said that the first three words that you see will be your reality in 2022. The words that I got were beauty, honesty and success. Yes, I hope that all my endeavours in 2022 will be successful.

Zacchaeus

Zacchaeus was a tax collector who was short in stature and when I heard that Jesus was coming, he climbed on a tree to receive him. And when Jesus passed by he asked Zacchaeus to come down and he did and he repented of his sins of extortion and gave back to the people all what he earned corruptly.

Zacchaeus as an idiom means a person who is repentant of his or her transgressions.

I have been a Zacchaeus many a time.

The Bookshop

My favourite bookshop is D C Books in Trivandrum. It has an enormous stock of books ranging from Fiction, Poetry, Essays and books on Philosophy. I have read all the books that I have in my present collection and I long to go there and purchase books. But I am short of money and I am hoping a windfall win. Yes, I want to read more books and interpret them with a collection of Essays. I love an inter-textual dialogue.

Feminmenology

I stumbled upon this new word created by me: Feminmenology while I was reading Judith Butler’s Philosophy. Feminmenology is derived from Feminism and Phenomenology (contents of consciousness). Yes, now I am planning to write an essay on Feminmenology.

Idioms

The Widow and the Judge

The widow and the judge is a parable told by Jesus and Christ and in it there was a widow who wanted justice and there was a judge who did not relent to her pleas. The widow kept on with persistence and finally the judge relented to her pleas for justice.

The widow and the judge as an idiom means persistence and perseverance will yield rich dividends.

In my life I would like to emulate the experience of the widow and the judge.

Into the Lion’s Mouth

Into the Loin’s mouth as an idiom means making a financial commitment which will lead to a great risk in the future.

I was tempted to go into the Lion’s mouth but at the last instant I refrained.

Fictional and the Real Self

The real self is a school teacher in a small village school in Kerala. There is nothing worth about saying of the real self. The real self is a non-entity.

Now the fictional self is different from the real self. The fictional self is the poetry of many women that it has loved. The fictional self loves dabbling in poetry, philosophy and fiction. The fictional self is narcissistic flower of passion. The fictional self is a global vagabond. The fictional self-dreams of highflying ambitions. The fictional self is a mytho-poetic entity of intense subjectivity. The fictional self is a bard of passion. For the fictional self, the meaning of life is an existential celebration. The fictional self-dreams of a day when it can merge the real self and the fictional self. The fictional self is a tissue of metaphors, and a symphony of avant- garde prose of figures of speech. The fictional self is calypso of living in dreams. The fictional self is a soul self of passion. For the fictional self, the meaning of life is the catharsis of existence. The fictional self is a  poetic self with adoration for the muses. One day the fictional self will merge with the real self and it will dwell in an oasis of happiness.
