Beginning with champagne

Warm smoked eel

Pickled blackberries

On a bed of beetroot

A big sexy lunch

Moving onto tortelli

With lobster and tarragon

Transcending hunger

So three courses in to

The sea bass ragu

You begin to feed

Entirely out of greed

Making the act of eating

A new realm of experience

As the Mount Etna wine

Is nearing depletion

It assists you in articulating

Seemingly complicated

Philosophical ideas

With such concision

You congratulate your conversation

On both its content and delivery

Unashamedly concluding

That a big sexy lunch

Is not solely for pleasure

But the development of humanity

And the growth of our species
