Short Poems

A Piano in a Ripe Summer

In a ripe summer

They looked at my face

And called me a piano

That I don’t know

Lots of summer end

With their musing tunes

They went home leaving me

With the instrument

For they hate summer now

And the note is over

Sometimes I look at

The piano in mirror

Known so many hands

Many nights, temples

But they went home leaving me

It’s chord over now.

Here

Here

In the rain-soaked room

I tasted your hands

First time like a summer

Like a coy grass before rain

And an obliged swan.

When

Lying in pool of dews

I was leaf in gone road.

Not a Woman

When you call me, I was thinking of love

That the sea preserves in salt

For the hungry heart to masticate

I was not thinking of the rampant summer, nor the ripe twilight

I forever fail to follow

But to choose the lights of absenting moon

In a dream I never saw

Expecting mothers never foresee pitchers with splashing water

Dead water reflecting my returning from the ancient times

I was thinking of love

When you call me

And you are not a woman in my winter’s tree.

I Know Them

I know them all, when you laugh

How your two worlds denies gravitation

And bounce back like a hard-hit tennis ball after the game is over

The ripples from the valley break into a dumb cry

Expecting iron to melt and vanish as if

It was never there, never before

I suck your lips and tasted the blood of devil
