Should
A poem go onWith questions? OrWould that be meaningless? HelloAgain. Welcometo my life,Mind,And soul,Just like anyone Who's broken. Hopefully,You have read my first book, Truth Is. In a way, Questions is a continuation Of Truth Is,But in a wayIt's not.
Right?
Why
Is my favorite question.
One word,
That means so many things.
Why
Do we lie
When we know
It hurts others?
Why
Do we tell the truth
When we know
It hurts others?
What's more painful?
Being lied to?
Or hearing that your dad committed suicide?
That your dog died?
That your best friend
Or the one thing
You hold on to is gone
Forever?
What does that feel like?
To lose everything?
To have everyone
You ever loved
Turn their back on you?
To have everyone
Leave your side?
I know.
I've been there.
And if you know,
If you've been there,
I won't leave.
I can't do much,
I'm just a mind behind a pencil.
But I'm still someone,
Right?
Time
Is forever, right?
Never ending?
I like to believe that
Time doesn't end.
For the small comfort it can give someone.
But really,
No one knows.
And when did time ever begin?
And why bother ourselves with these questions
When we still fight to live?
It's a shame.
It really is.
We can't spend our time with things like this.
Instead,
We are stuck with trying to figure out the reasons
To live,
The reasons to love,
The reasons for me
To continue writing this,
The reasons for you to continue reading this.
We can have that break I guess.
Just for a bit.
Right?
