Dr. Sixbert Sangwa is a Rwandan Workplace Christian Evangelist, Academic, Kingdom Entrepreneur and Practitioner in Non-profit management. Sixbert desires a better and spiritual fulfilled daily life for Marketplace Christians, and is driven by the belief that everyone was created to serve a specific purpose in God’s ministry, not just through a four wall church but also through various business and workplace appointments. He understoods that people are special and unique and each one of us has a distinct calling and destiny in God, therefore each one of us has a very specific role to play in God's divine purpose. God has planned a vocation for each of His children and He wants to empower us to fulfill His plans for our life. Whether He commissioned us into the church, business or professional workplace, God desires to share His plans and purposes with us so that we will be fully prepared and fully equipped to fulfill our destiny. It’s very essential that Christians know God’s purpose for their lives since He never created us to wander around aimlessly through life. Each one of us is called to help build the Kingdom of God through our words and deeds.
While Sixbert has extensive experience in managing economic empowerment projects and skilled in business develpment, he remains committed to promoting links between faith and business/work. In this regards, Sixbert has remained instrumental to higher education in the fields of Christian business administration, entrepreneurship and theology. On the one hand, he believes that the future of employment belongs to social entrepreneurship, but on the other hand, he is concerned about the disconnect between faith and business, hence his continental mission to integrate faith and work.
Sixbert's education is twofold. His first secular degree is in Rural Development and Agribusiness. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Arts in Online and Distance Education as well as a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Branding. His religious track yielded him a Bachelor of Divinity, a Master of Ministry, a Master of Theological Studies, a Doctor of Chritsian Business Administration and a PhD in Religious Studies.
This ebook was produced as part of his learning reflection that summarises his take-away from his Master of Theological Studies, in a way that offers insights to future learners/readers. As Sixbert's research interests rest on general business management and open education as they relate to Christian affairs on the one hand, he is also open to offering advisory support in the same areas.
