Where do they come from? If we go into this from the geological side, we will find that it is the most common stone on earth. It's form is multiple and unique. You will not find two of them being the same. They are found worldwide, many in the Alpes in Europe. It is mainly a combination of silicium dioxide, mainly clear appearance with white stripes at times giving crystals their special admirable sparkle. Their ability of light refraction causes a beautiful rainbow effect, which can be increased by special cut and polishment. Last not least this is the reason which makes it precious stone for jewelers, but also the raw appearance is more than beautiful. Pressure, temperature and other soluble ingredients are responsible for it's creation. They were born around 12-20 billion years ago. The biggest known was found in Arkansas and has a weight of nearly 7.8 tons!
An interesting fact is also that crystals are known worldwide from legends and tales. Many are existing in every culture and the cult and adoration for crystals are manifold. From fairies, gnomes to kings and princesses, the range of recognition is broad. In spiritual work those crystals are brought into connection to wizards, Merlin, Angels, Atlantis and many other.
