Beschreibung

An interesting story with a surreal connotation about an encounter with a highlander, an ageless man, who reveals himself only to those, who possess an open mind. A shorty story dealing with the different views of man and challenging the preconceived ideas of materialism itself.

The Highlander

My name is Perry Stone and I am about to share you my testimony of a highlander, whom I have met and who has totally altered my life and my view on life. This is my story about one of the probably many highlanders outthere. Some legends say, that they have been roaming the human history very often for countless decades. They have been a witness to empires, kings, queens and wars. Men always hidden from the public eye, although sometimes noticed by famous men of the ages.

At first I didn’t believe something like this could even exist. Conditioned by science and the media, I never thought, that a man hi sage could exist. I thought, that man could perhaps reach the age of 100 or maybe 125, although I have read of some accounts, that some men were said to be 200 or 300.

At that time, before I had the grace, I must say grace, or else I would have never believed this could really be true, I thought these accounts of men and very seldom women, were just made up fantasy stories, fairy tales to entice and excite little kids. But I was wrong, I was so wrong, and this experience this contact with this amazing man, changed my whole world view, it really did. I know will commence to tell you my story, the story, when I met this man and how he gave me some of his seemingly ageless life. He actually blessed me with a lot of life and told me how to practically stop aging, although I guess I want reach his age, but still it is better, than dying in some home of mortal decrepitude caused by total ignorance: which is toxic thinking and a wrong diet. But this is another story, and now I want to share this story with you.

As I was wandering the streets of Chicago in the late seventies, I guess it was, but now I am not to sure, because I am quite old now myself and I have a problem of keeping an exact track of time: at least sometimes. I was bustling through the streets of the huge city and I think it must have been near the John Hancock center, but I am not sure. It was a quite chilly day in late December and I remember, that it must have been after Christmas.

The night had just begun and I was heading towards some coffee house, because of an appointment, which I had there. A cool wind was whistling through the streets and an eery feeling was surrounding me. The people, who passed me had a strange vibration some cool attitude, which I just could not describe, but surely perceive. Well what ever I had no idea, who I would bump into, just wandering the streets in a hurry and trying to be on time for my appointment, I didn’t notice, that I was being followed and that gave me a weird sentiment, which I just could not avoid, could not thwart.

The coffee house was quite close now and it must have been about five blocks far away from I was. But then it happened, the event, which would change everything and change my whole day, actually to be concrete my whole life, but why I will soon expound upon. As I wanted o cross the next avenue at the crossing section, I noticed a guy, who was dressed like a bohemian of the nineteenth century. He was slender and very tall and gave me a short stare, which had some kind of magic to it, which I at that moment could not explain, but later as this story would unfold, this stare would become clear to me and as comprehensible as a letter written by a little kid.

I stopped at the crossing and waited until the lights would switch to walk. An eternity passed, or at least it sounded like this to me, because I was waiting and waiting, but the lights would not swap to walk. Then as the lights changed and I commenced to cross the road, this guy passed me by.
