Anyone who may be going through depression or have had it before can definietly relate to this. Being depressed isn't something to just let go of. It's something very mental and very serious. I recommend if you are someone who is suffering from depression that you read this with a guardian. Also, you should watch the series on Netflix, 13 Reasons Why. Depression is very serious and we need to help the people that are going through this time. Thank you and hope you enjoy!

Introduction.

Hi, my name is Niya Golatt. I’m 13 years old, and this is my first ebook. This story is about a girl named Amanda. It is inspired by the series on Netflix, 13 Reasons Why. She's a teenager in high school, depressed, calling out for help. No one paid attention to her, so eventually, she took her own life. She reflects on everything she went through, leading up to her last breath.. Majority of this is her suicide note and she also writes from the perspective of her being dead. If you have any depression problems, always know that someone is on the other line, willing to help you out. Hope you enjoy, thanks.

‘normal’. that’s what they said high school was.

that's what they swore.

i'm writing this to say:

life is a monster.

and i don’t know why it’s out to get me.

but i think it wants an Oscar.

bullying isn’t even the right word.

neither is assault.

got raped,

and they say it’s my fault.

started crying. they became cuts.

i needed serious help,

but kept my mouth shut.

miserable wasn’t the right word.

neither was depressed.

no one noticed me, of course.

i guess i should’ve expressed myself a little bit more.

the less i talked, the more cuts there were.

maybe i should’ve stopped.

then again, should i?

everyone had me blocked.
