When I was small my grandmother told me about them and I didn’t really believe her, but now I do. Many theories and legends surround these beings and I want to name a few, but before I do this, I want to share my experience with them. It was a November day and I guess it must have been right after Halloween. I am not really sure, because I am not so good at remembering dates, perhaps this may be a symptom of oppressing, what I had experienced, because that what I was about to experience in a real way, was really mind-boggling.
Well the story started, when I went to a friend’s house, a really rich and queer guy, who lived on the outskirts of Denver. I never thought, that I would really have such an experience and that my friend had dabbled into occult practices, which I don’t want to really expound upon. As I arrived at his home, after I had been working the whole day I could sense something was in the air, but at that moment I could not exactly tell, what it was. My friend was always into various themes and topics and I tried to keep my calm. Before I entered his house though, I could perceive something, for an instant I thought, that a shadow was moving around me.
I rang the doorbell and waited for a minute, until my friend came down the door. His house was a mansion and in front of it was his huge courtyard, which had a fountain in it’s center. Sometimes my friend didn’t have any time to open the door for me and one of his servants or personal butler would open the door for me, but this could take up to five minutes, because, they did not live in the mansion, but in a more modest abode not far from it.
