Chapter one

In a world inhabited by devoutly religious and traditional individuals, the deity Iknon holds great significance as the god of light. Iknon is symbolized by the Thar, ruler of the Earth realm with four distinct domains. The Landers manage nature, working as farmers; the Greyair possess divine gifts of wisdom and knowledge; the Phelerus are imbued with healing powers; and finally, the Spada wield their swords as spiritual gifts. Though not everyone possesses these gifts, those who do are revered as warriors.

Each domain is governed by its own chief. The Landers, however, have no powers themselves and instead serve under the rule of Thar Zeptha - a queen governing without any advisors. A radiant sun beams upon the idyllic Landers village, casting beautiful lush greenary over their land. These fields are dappled with all aspects of nature's splendor.

In an open field, two brothers named Sea and Tiger tend to their animals. As Sea works diligently, his sibling Tiger distills wine from palm fronds; clearly intoxicated. Growing disgruntled with Tiger's carelessness, Sea remarks sarcastically on his brother's potential to lead their people as a drunk "dimwit." Unfazed, Tiger brushes off his brother's concerns stating that the wine has become an extension of himself - an arbiter for his decision-making.

Sea mockingly offers fruit to his inebriated brother before retracting it quickly, thinking that Tiger should already be full on wine. Fueled by anger and intoxication, a fight ensues between them until a commanding voice suddenly halts them.

Shrouded in darkness and mystery - a group of Watchmen ride into view atop their horses. The markings on their swords confirm their identities to Sea who submits immediately to them - pushing Tiger to do the same.

The air grows tense as one Watchman approaches and demands to know their heritage. Sea cautiously answers that they are the sons of the Chief of the

In the realm of the landers, the eminent Blue Fire - revered as the Sun's guardian - posed a question to the duo before him. "Whom, pray tell, do you serve?" Before Sea could articulate his answer, the watchers interjected. "Allow him to express himself," they commanded, gesturing toward Tiger. Sea found his voice again, eager to explain their loyalty. "We serve the luminous Sun that kindles life and nourishes nature. More so, we pay tribute to the spirit of nature which sustains existence under Iknon's gracious benevolence." He continued, a hint of apprehension in his tone, "We are but two playful siblings caught in a harmless quarrel – simply our unique manner of expressing affection. I assure you, there is no cause for alarm; our hearts harbor only peace."

The watchers exchanged glances before responding. "Your reassurances were unsolicited; however, let it be known that cherishing peace, harmony, and fraternity aligns with Iknon's precepts – guiding principles of natural order." Both Sea and Tiger nodded in somber agreement, absorbing the solemn wisdom imparted upon them.

Tiger stood, his gaze fixed upon the men, as he remarked, "You grow pale at the mere sight of them." He faced his companion with contempt, hating their predicament under the watchmen's control—yearning only for liberation. "Your heart races with fear, brother. You've turned pale. How long must this continue?" Sea interrupted him, "Don't judge me, Tiger. Sobering up? We're powerless against them; our fate makes us inferior. What can we do?" Disgusted, Tiger spat on the ground as he strode away, "Best we return to the village," with Sea trailing behind.

In a spacious earthen house adorned with diverse sections and mural designs, a young girl sat alongside her elderly grandmother clothed in black attire while flowers decorated her snake-skinned locks. They painted on animal hide; the girl named Berry and her grandmother called Ma Green. Speaking softly, Berry requested a story to which Ma Green responded warmly, inquiring about the subject matter. Hesitating briefly, Berry opted for a tale about the gods.

Ma Green began her narrative: "Long ago, the gods ruling the sky grew weary and disillusioned by the mortals' half-hearted worship and offerings. Desiring authenticity from their hearts, the gods felt neglected as years of peace and prosperity diminished devotion to mere ceremony. Wishing for genuine love from mortals yet receiving none, the gods inflicted hardship upon Earth—famines, wars, chaos ensued.

During these dark times, humankind pleaded for nonexistence as they served as unwilling slaves under divine wrath. But then arose one of their own—a demi-god who defied his divine heritage by challenging the gods with unwavering companionship. Together they severed ties between man and god; cosmic disconnection caused their banishment and cursed Iknon into eternal slumber.

Since then, peace and abundance were restored as the hearts of men softened. Gone were the days of greed and power-h

Once upon a time, in a land filled with lasting peace and abundance, the hearts of men softened like never before. Even the most power-hungry and greedy among them adopted the innocence of a child's heart. These miraculous occurrences were hard to put into words, but they taught an important lesson – true devotion shouldn't be forced. Realizing their mistake, the people began to worship Iknon, a deity who loved them unconditionally and understood their human nature.

In between this tale of wonder and wisdom, Lily Berry listened with rapt attention to her mother's enchanting storytelling. "You tell this story so beautifully, Ma Green," Lily marveled as her mother finished speaking. Unable to resist the fondness stirring within her, she rushed over to hug her mother.

"Mom!" she exclaimed as they embraced warmly.

"My baby," Lily whispered softly in response, all while looking for her dear Pa Blue. The old man emerged moments later, walking with the help of his cane and draped in long leather garments. He sat down gently and greeted them both with a tender smile.

"Ahoy there, my dear Lily and Berry!" His voice was brimming with warmth. "How are you faring today?"

Lily told him of Ma Green's captivating story about the gods, and how it captivated her imagination. Pa Blue nodded sagely. "Aye, it is filled with wisdom – this tale of Iknon and the challenge of the gods. A powerful reminder that our devotion must come from the heart," he mused.

As they conversed about the message behind the story, talk turned towards Berry's activities for the day. She excitedly shared that Ma Green taught her how to create beautiful art on animal skins—a truly exhilarating experience.

Pa Blue beamed with pride at his granddaughter's latest adventure. "Your creativity knows no bounds, my little one."

Lily smiled at this gentle patriarch, grateful for his wisdom and the love he bestowed upon her family.

"The gifts of Iknon are plentiful, my dear. We must always cherish them and spread our prosperity with others." Pa Blue coughs gently, "The festival is approaching; we must get ready."

Greyair's realm is the most secluded among all the territories. The chiefdom is encircled by towering mountain walls that show no hospitality to outsiders - no one is permitted to enter. Within these mountains lies a tranquil, idyllic realm ruled by the renowned Fevali Kenoni and his siblings - known as the Sons of Kenoni. They are the region's sole young rulers, and whispers abound that they overthrew their father's administration to gain power, slaughtering everyone in their path. The breathtaking beauty of the land is apparent in its primarily white buildings adorned with glass rooftops reflecting sunlight. As for the inhabitants, they are said to possess striking beauty, with silver-haired youths and gray-haired elders.

In an awe-inspiring white building named The Library - often hailed as sacred ground - scrolls abound and devoted readers study quietly. A prominent stone at its heart features a slumbering statue alongside an inscription that reads, "Ignorance is supreme."

A young man called Eden, lanky and fragile yet captivatingly handsome, stands before the statue, studying the inscription. Approaching her friend, a girl named Irene exclaims, "You've been standing here forever." Eden glances at her and replies, "Every day of our lives we strive to uncover mysteries, yet this statement stands in front of us." Laughing softly, Irene gently pulls him along as they stroll through the library. "Eden, I don't understand it either, but some knowledge can be dangerous; there are things better left unknown."

Stopping abruptly, Eden fixes his gaze upon Irene. "Have you ever considered that what we learn from the Order is carefully chosen? What if there's more out there? What if we're being fed lies, Irene?" Horrified, Irene scansOriginalContent: With a gasp, Irene scanned the area and whispered urgently, "Keep your voice down; nobody should hear such terrible thoughts from your lips. We should feel grateful that Iknon gave us purpose – just look at the Landers who never question anything." Eden halted and retorted, "And what are we, Irene – mere students? We've been doing the same thing for centuries, seeking knowledge but never really changing. How does any of this make sense?" Irene sighed, "You shouldn't concern yourself with that, Eden. I believe that Iknon has provided everything we need to know. Questioning that will only hinder you; your performance has already suffered."

Eden scoffed at her words. “My performance reflects everyone else’s here—thoroughly mundane.” As Irene moved away, she countered, “Well, try finishing your studies first before delving into your frivolous fantasies. Even children best you nowadays.” Suddenly a young man approached Eden. "Eden Rain, you're needed." Together they walked to an opulent chamber where a group dressed in white robes formed a circle. Upon entering, Eden bowed deeply and muttered, “My lord.”

One of the robed figures addressed him directly. “Eden Rain, offspring of Harth Rain: your poor performances have reached a breaking point. What is your purpose here?” Eden faltered under the weight of the question. When commanded to speak again by the figure, he hesitated before apologizing softly. The robed order member scolded him sternly for not answering the question and asked if his mind was truly so barren that he couldn’t articulate an appropriate response.

Another member chimed in, disappointedly stating how difficult it was to justify keeping him around any longer. Hearing this heartbreaking news caused Eden to fall to his knees in despair as he begged for another chance while tears streamed down his face. A third member remarked that they had heard Eden speak his own thoughts before, prompting the

As the echoes of your own voice filled the room, revealing your innermost thoughts, it became clear that you were merely a mortal. What could you possibly know? We have notified your parents and shared our judgments with them," the elders declared. Eden's eyes welled up with tears, and he shuddered, visibly shaken. "No!" another elder chimed in, "We have the festival before us, a time of positivity and peace. Fortune has smiled upon you, young Eden, for we shall withhold our decision for now, giving you a chance to change our minds." Overwhelmed with gratitude, Eden stammered out his thanks before being ushered away.

Emerging from the chamber, Eden was immediately met with a vicious slap from his father that sent him sprawling to the ground. "You dare bring dishonor upon our family?" shouted Hart, pummeling him further. "I'd rather have no offspring than a worthless one who brings shame upon us!" With a final shove, Eden crumpled on the soil. Hart spat out, "Get out of my sight!"

Defeated but determined to escape this anguish, Eden retrieved his horse and rode out of the city under the cloak of anonymity. As he left the familiar landscape behind, he clutched the stolen messenger seal - his ticket to freedom. Messengers alone could leave their guarded domain in search of supplies and necessities; their seals granted them passage through fortified barriers. And now, with this precious seal in his possession, Eden dared to dream of possibilities beyond these walls.

In the realm of the Landers, Sea and Tiger made their grand entrance, warmly welcomed by friends. Upon stepping into the palace, Tiger stumbled and fell, prompting Sea to mockingly declare him "a true buffoon." Sea proceeded inside, calling out for his father. Pa Blue emerged from a room he had been sharing with Ma Green. Sea greeted them both, addressing Ma Green first and then acknowledging his sister Lily. He scooped up little Berry in his arms, causing her to squeal with delight.

Pa Blue inquired about the missing brother, but an awkward silence filled the room. Sea expressed concern that their sibling's current path could bring doom upon them all. Pa Blue clutched his chest in anguish; Lily rushed to his side and guided him to a seat. With a disgusted tone, Pa Blue labeled their brother a disgrace. As Tiger entered the room and took a seat, smirking, Pa Blue attempted to strike him but was restrained. He threatened to "end" Tiger before falling victim himself. But Tiger taunted him: "Conserve your energy, old man—lest you join iknon before your time!" Although Pa Blue tried to rise again in anger, Lily led him out of the room.

Sea glared at Tiger before turning away. Ma Green intercepted "we must prepare for prayers before sunset" however she pulled sea to the side , hoping to pour oThe things we yearn for can sometimes summon our own undoing. "You will get what you seek, Tiger, but let us pray that day never arrives," Ma Green warned as she peered at him. Suddenly, a loud gong resonated, prompting her to exclaim, "Get ready, boy; it's time for prayer!" The procession then commenced, with everyone slowly marching in order of age, holding various types of fruits and herbs. The women wearing exquisite red paint on half of their faces and Ma Green adorned with animal bones, a bowl of blood, and a staff on her hands. As they arrived at the shrine of the dormant gods, Ma Green cast an incantation before drinking the blood and pouring the rest on the people. They then fell into a hypnotic sleep, awakening with murmurs of gratitude. However, an agitated Lily looked around for her missing daughter, Berry. Upon not finding her, she started to wail and ran towards the fields. In the meantime, Berry had stumbled across a stunning horse named Eden. "Is that you, Iknon?" she asked. "I would love to meet Iknon myself," Eden laughed, leaving Berry in awe. "What and who are you?" she inquired, to which Eden replied, "I think the real inquiry is what you're doing alone in the fields."

Berry hung her head low while Eden watched with a small smile playing on her lips. "Looks like someone's in trouble," Eden teased gently. But Berry shook her head and insisted, "No, I just wanted to play here." Eden's eyes softened as she pointed out, "I see that, but don't you think it would be more fun to play with friends?" Suddenly, Berry felt guilty for wanting to play alone. But she couldn't bear to admit the truth: that she only wanted to play with her imaginary friends.

However, it seemed that Eden had already caught on. "Oh, what's your name?" she asked kindly. Berry couldn't resist smiling as she replied, "Berry." Eden introduced herself as well, "My name is Eden, and I am from the Realm of the Wise."

But just as they were getting to know each other, Lily appeared on the scene with Tiger and Sea. Berry ran to her mother's arms, exclaiming, "Mama, I made a new friend, Eden!" Lily was clearly worried, asking, "Are you hurt?" But Eden reassured her,

Berry shakes her head as Lily approaches Eden with a gentle smile. "Please forgive us, we mean no harm," she says softly. Eden chuckles and brushes it off, "Oh, what harm could she possibly bring? I find her cheerfulness and playfulness quite endearing. By the way, I'm Eden Rain."

Lily introduces herself in return, "I am Lily, daughter of the Blue Fire." Tiger interrupts sternly, "We ask that you let us be before the watchmen misunderstand and blame us, as they always do, regardless of right or wrong." Eden nods thoughtfully and inquires, "Are you her father?" Sea clarifies with a somber tone, "No, we are her uncles; her father is no longer with us."

Lily recounts their tale, "He brought her to Phelarus but passed away before they even spared us a glance." The group falls silent as Lily observes Eden's stoic expression. She sighs and remarks, "You cannot fathom such heartache." A moment of quiet understanding passes before Lily nods solemnly. "We will depart now," she declares.

As they turn to leave, Eden calls out with a hint of surprise in his voice, "A simple thank you would have sufficed, you know." Tiger retorts gruffly, "Does it really matter?" Sea steps in between them and gently urges Eden to leave. As Eden mounts his horse and rides away, Tiger spits on the ground in contempt.

Sea smirks at him and chides playfully, "You should have done that while he was still here!" Tiger meets his gaze and grumbles back at him. Sea laughs and quips teasingly, "You didn't have the nerve!"

The highly anticipated festival is just around the corner, and excitement fills the Earth Realm. In the land of the Landers, wise Ma Green summons her grandsons, Tiger and Sea, along with a young boy named Lavender. Lavender has been in Ma Green's service ever since she saved him after his parents' tragic demise. As devoted followers of Ma Green, Lavender's parents would be proud of how she has raised their son.

The Festival of Iknon is a time-honored week-long celebration commemorating the exile of Iknon from the Old Gods. This vibrant event features various competitions, captivating art displays, and festivities that showcase the ancient feud between Iknon and the Old Gods. The third day of the festival is marked by solemn mourning in honor of Iknon's thousand-year slumber under a curse. Then, the jubilant celebration resumes, and all Landers eagerly prepare for the festival's thrilling activities and decorate their domain.

Ma Green enters Tiger's room to find him asleep clutching a keg of wine. With a splash of water, she rouses him from slumber and proceeds to Sea's room. Using her staff, she gives his bottom a sharp smack which prompts an annoyed reaction from Sea. As Ma Green bustles out of his room, she urges them to get ready quickly for there's much to do in preparation for the festival.

Her grandsons oblige dutifully— upon entering her chamber later on they respectfully greet Ma Green by touching their foreheads to hers. Looking thoughtful, Ma Green confides her feeling of unease to her grandsons: "I have been restless; I feel it in my very soil that something is about to happen during this year's festival. It could be good or possibly even troublesome."

Despite her concern, Sea dismisses her worries nonchalantly: "Same statement every year." And so begins another unforgettable Festival of Iknon, as Ma Green wonders what surprises it might hold.

With determination in his eyes, Plies proclaimed, "I will continue to speak it until it comes true!" Tiger couldn't help but yawn, questioning Iknon's motives. "You ought to take pride in your faith. What has brought us all this way? What purpose must we serve?"

Ma Green hesitated before answering, "You are being sent to Salda to obtain precious metals." Tiger, Lavender, and Sea exchanged glances. Sea spoke up, disbelief dripping from his words, "Really, Ma Green? This journey seems pointless. Our horses will be exhausted for nothing. We've tried our best to reconcile our faith despite Tiger's reluctance, but..."

Ma Green gently interrupted, "Sea, my child, your unwavering devotion has kept everyone stable. The festival is our chance to celebrate with Iknon and show gratitude for our bountiful harvest and the life he's given us. We must do whatever it takes – even walk through fire – to prove our eternal gratefulness."

Tiger rose angrily in response to Ma Green's apparent disregard for their plight. "With all due respect," he spat, "you're not the one facing those who disdain us even as we feed them – their sneers cutting like knives."

Ma Green approached him calmly and said, "Tiger, you won't always be surrounded by such hostility. You'll return to where you're loved and valued. Ignore their words; focus on appeasing Iknon."

Despite their deep resentment, Tiger and Sea followed Ma Green's orders as Lavender silently watched on. Knowing there was no alternative, he instructed them to gather the others and set out immediately.

The grumbling group of fifteen men prepared their horses for the arduous journey that lay ahead. Leading across vast lands and rivers over three days, they eventually reached the magnificent Iron Bridge – wide enough for fifty horsemen.

As they traversed the bridge alongside groups from other domains, they were forced to relinquish their forward position and linger at the rear. Sea muttered curses under his breath, prompting Tiger to mockingly tease him " when will you say that outloud brother"

Upon entering Salda – a city forged from metal and adorned with precious stones – it was evident that the residents were known for their aggressive, stubborn nature. Street fights, animal brawls, and drunken duels were commonplace, with gambling fueling the city's economy.

As Tiger and Sea reached Salda's gates, the guards allowed others to pass but stopped them in their tracks. The journey had only just begun, but the trials they'd face were far from over."what brings you here, lander?" one of the guards asks. Tiger seems hesitant as Sea responds saying, "I am Sea, and this is my brother Tiger. We are the sons of the chief of Lander Pa Blue, also known as the Sun, and our right-hand man Larvander. We are here to purchase precious metals for the festival." The soldiers nod and signal for others to search their belongings. After Sea and Tiger agree, the gate is opened for them. The guard warns them to leave as soon as possible to avoid being seen in the city at night.

As they walk through the busy market, people are purchasing goods for the upcoming festival and the city is in a festive mood. They receive some curious stares and rude comments, such as "cursed people," from passersby. After scouting the city, they settle on one store and call out for the owner. A petite girl named Gem, with short hair, comes out of the store. She catches the eye of Larvander, and she opens her store to them. They are surprised by her generosity and eventually enter.

Gem proves to be an exceptional assistant, providing Sea, Tiger, and Larvander with helpful advice on their purchases while remaining kind and friendly. They are impressed with her expertise, and after selecting their items Gem offers them a discount as a gesture of goodwill. They are grateful for her hospitality and make their way back to the gate feeling pleased with their experience in Lander. Despite encountering negative comments from a few locals, they have found that there are also many friendly and welcoming people in the city.

After their successful purchase of precious goods and metals from Gem's emporium, Sea and Tiger were halted at the city's exit by a regiment of soldiers.

"Halt," bellowed the stern leader, his voice nimble but daunting."We suspect that you are in possession of stolen goods."

Tiger stepped off of his horse to confront the audacious soldiers. "May I inquire as to the nature of your accusations?" he queried, striving to maintain a cordial disposition despite the dire circumstance.

The leader narrowed his eyes in contempt, huffing insolently. "We have been informed about the rampant thievery plaguing our town and the surrounding areas, and we shall not condone such criminal activity!"

As the soldiers began to rummage through the precious wares the duo had recently obtained, Gem materialized, intrigued by the duo's beset dilemma.

"Greetings, gentlemen. What seems to be the trouble?" queried Gem with an air of calm.

One soldier stepped forward, his sceptical eyes appraising her silently. "We are simply conducting a search for any illicit goods in their possession," the soldier reasserted, his face obstinate.

Gem's eyebrows puckered in apprehension as she scrutinized the soldiers. "I'm afraid you are grievously mistaken. These two bidders bought all the items from my store, an authorized establishment."

The soldiers mulled over her statement and, seemingly satisfied, curtailed their inspection, allowing the siblings to leave without any further ado, " let the curse of iknon go we wish not to plague this week of festival with troubles" .Sea emanated his gratitude towards Gem.

"We owe you a debt of gratitude, Lady Gem. Your selflessness in defending us was truly gallant," conveyed Sea, his words laden with earnest gratitude, tiger ignored the petite lady mountins horse ride further from his siblings and entourage.

As they departed, the men's eyes lingered on them. But they had successfully escaped the city and found refuge at the river where they were meant to cross. Tiger, in a fit of frustration, washed his face in the river and let out a primal scream, thrashing at the branches of a nearby tree and kicking at the air. Sea watched him with a somber expression, approaching him and holding him gently. "It's all over, brother. Be calm. Your rage has been heard loud and clear. Now, let's cross the river and leave behind all that has happened." Tiger scoffed, "Easy for you to say, Sea. Don't you feel angry?" Sea replied, "I am angry. Words fail to express it." Tiger challenged him, "Then show it. Show that you're angry, Sea. Because if you were, we would have done something about it." Sea signed tiredly at Tiger, suddenly appearing before them, soildiers who had once accused them of stealing, each looking ferocious , the ring leader a man with rotten teeth grunts " hand over the bags now" , they started to draw out their weapon using their powers from a piece of metal.

The air was thick with tension as the group huddled together, their minds racing with fear and uncertainty. The looming threat of the soldiers hung over them like a dark cloud, and the weight of their own mortality was suffocating.Tiger, the leader of the group, was desperate for a plan. He knew that they were no match for the soldiers, and the thought of being reduced to nothing more than lifeless bodies was too much to bear. But then, out of nowhere, a figure appeared. Gems, with her mysterious powers and deadly weapons, had saved them from certain death killing the ferocious soildiers . Tiger thanked her and Sea assured her that her kindness will not be forgotten, larvender held her in a lovely gaze and yet there was something about her that made Tiger uneasy, he was jealous of her and wished he had her powers, his life would have so much meaning he taught.

As they arrived at the village, Ma Green and a few others came to greet them. Tiger jumped off his horse and left the crowd, ignoring Ma Green. He made his way straight to the house, pouring himself some wine as he reflected on the attack. Suddenly, he threw his wine to the wall in anger as he thought about Gem saving them. It could have been him. Tiger despised his existence of just being ordinary. He wanted something more and wished his people could see his vision.Out on the field, a group of women were harvesting for the festival. A child bent down to pick up a series of vegetable leaves that were rotten. She was confused because it was not a common occurrence as the land was too fertile and abundant. She shrugged and threw them away before joining the women.

Chapter three

The long-awaited festival week has finally arrived, and the entire realm is buzzing with excitement. The landers, phelarun, greyair, and salda are all in a festive mood, eagerly anticipating the traditional mass flight of doves that marks the beginning of the festivities. Legend has it that this flight was commissioned by Thar zeptha, the ruler of the realm, as a symbol of peace and serenity.Thar zeptha's palace is a mysterious and elusive place, located in a realm beyond our own. Known as the Floating Palace, it can only be accessed through a portal and requires a special key to enter. Many have tried to find it, but none have succeeded. Those who have attempted the journey have never returned, and the only information we have about the palace comes from the whispers of the coven.Thar zeptha herself is a ruler shrouded in secrecy. Her presence is felt throughout the realm, but she is rarely seen. Her subjects carry out her orders to the letter, and her word is law. She is a loyal follower of the god iknon, who rules in her stead while she slumbers in her cursed sleep. As the festival approaches, Thar zeptha prepares for the ceremony in her dark and intricately detailed palace. She wears a crown made of bones encrusted with diamonds and precious stones, and a white robe that belies her true power. She and her subjects gather around an oval-shaped, black pod that is suspended in the air, lace with gold and intricately designed. It is a mysterious and foreboding sight, and one that fills the room with an eerie energy. As the time for the ceremony draws near, Thar zeptha emerges from her dark room, fully suited for the occasion. Her subjects bow before her, and a sense of anticipation fills the air. <p>As Zeptha stood in the large room, a man entered and stood behind her, bowing to Thar. It was time for her to leave the room and she was fully surrounded by her entourage. Zeptha addressed the group, "The dove." One of them responded, "Ready at your command, my queen." They guided her towards the balcony where over three hundred doves were in a cage. The Queen removed her crown and gave it to the maiden in waiting, who then removed her shoes. Zeptha walked towards the balcony, raised her hands in worship and closed her eyes. She spoke to Iknon, the god of peace and slumber, asking for blessings and good love to be poured out upon her and her people. As she released the dove, she hoped that Iknon's power would stretch towards the haven of the gods and mankind. The dove flew away and they put the crown back on her head and sandals on her feet. She started walking towards the main hall where the coven of sorceresses awaited her.>The coven was a group of women in their fifties, dressed in dark brown garments adorned with long necklaces and veils. The eldest, an old woman named Lyra, was the leader of the coven and wore the longest veil. As she approached, she bowed her head in complete submission and said, "May the Thar live forever." Zeptha dismissed everyone else and asked to be left alone with the coven. Lyra approached her anxiously and Zeptha asked, "Tell me Lyra, how is it going?" Lyra, the high priestess, replied, "We are doing our best and we are getting there, my queen. Just have a little patience." Zeptha was disappointed and impatient, hoping for better news. <p>She hoped that Lyra would bring her some different news this time. She longed for Lyra to be truly different this time. Every breath she took reminded her of her failure. She had made a promise that she could not fulfill for a thousand years. How long would she have to wait? The generations had failed her, and yet she put her faith in the failures that were to come. How much longer would she have to wait?Lyra was afraid of Thar's countenance, but she tried to assure her, still feeling confident. "I assure you, Thar, we will get it done. I gave you my word upon my life," she said. Zeptha laughed. "A lot of you through the years have said the same thing, Lyra. Now, I won't hold your life. I will hold the life of all of you, the rest of the coven, their families, and loved ones." Lyra seemed nervous. "Get it done," Zeptha said, and left. Zena from the coven called Lyra, but she interrupted her. "Don't worry, Zena. Our heads will not be on the spike. We are so close to our goal, so close that she doesn't even realize it yet."The landers gathered around, waiting patiently for the dove. A man spotted it and said, "It's here!" Where they sighted it, there was a scream of joy, and soon music and dancing started. The people started familiar moves. Tiger was still in his mood, pondering and drinking. As the festival was ongoing, Lily came and sat near him, taking the drink from his hand, earning a glare from Tiger. "What, so this is the way you want to celebrate, getting drunk while we are just getting into the party?" Lily scoffed. Tiger sighed. "I might as well start early to get into the groove." , Lily chuckled before fixing her gaze on Tiger, trying to understand the reason for his sulken mood. "I know something happened on your journey to Salda. You haven't been yourself lately. What happened?" she asked, concerned. Tiger looked at her, clearly unhappy that she could ask such an obvious question. "What do you think happened, Lily?" he retorted sarcastically. Lily nodded in understanding, noting his sarcasm. "The Saldans treated us fairly and equally. You were not the only one on that journey, and surely you are not the only one destined to be hated by people who are not from this land. But unlike you, we choose to live through the situation, finding happiness and comfort with each other instead of sinking and destroying ourselves over something that is not going to change. If we all act like that," she sighed, "I can only imagine what it will be like." Tiger shook his head, pained that nobody seemed to understand him. He was even more pained that nobody had the hunger that he had - the hunger for respect from other lands. "You don't understand," he said, interrupting Lily, who was fed up with his repeated excuses. "Then make me understand, Tiger," she challenged. Tiger stood up from where he was sitting, not wanting to have any more conversation lest he snap from rage. "Why would I? What is the use, anyone? All I will ever get is the same - 'get over it, enjoy the wine'," he said before leaving, with Lily calling out to him.

Meanwhile, in Phelarus, the people were in the spirit of festival, the celebration was laced with competitions like solving riddles, answering complex questions about philosophy, arguments, and so on. Eden was with Irene, who was clapping to the music, happy and grooving. She noticed Eden seemed lost in thought and nudged him. "Are you a stone or what? Come on, join in the fun. Who sitsWho sits like that and mimics his position all day?" Eden suddenly speak mindlessly." Lily" remembered his encounter with her, and he smiles at the memory of her voice, her face, and all about her. Irene is perplexed by Eden's strange behavior. "Lily, who is Lily?" Eden stands up, ignoring Irene's question. "If they come looking, tell them that I am in my room and I would like to be alone to study in a bid to make up for my failed courses. They won't question you once you repeat every word I said," Eden instructs. Irene quickly replies, "Okay, where are you going?" Eden smiles, the smile of a boy in love, and says, "Where the heart is." Irene asks, "Where? What is it, Eden?" Eden takes his horse and heads straight to Landers.

Pa Blue is lying sick in his room, and Ma Green is beside him with some servants. "It will be a shame if I outlive you, Bluefire. The people still need you. You cannot quench your flames now," Ma Green says. Pa Blue replies, "Mother, I can see my end coming. While I am still alive, I need to make sure that the chiefdom is in capable hands. My firstborn has failed me, and I begin to wonder where I have gone wrong. I have tried ever since their mother left. I have played both roles, and somehow Tiger..." Ma Green interrupts him, afraid that his hurt could worsen his sickness. "Hush now, you are the best father anyone could ask for. I am filled with immense pride for you. You were thrust into the role of fatherhood at such a young age, and yet you did your very best. We cannot control everything, Blue Fire. We just did our best and continue to love them regardless. Pa Blue almost becomes emotional. He has love for his son, but he knows that his people come first. He is not just a father, but a leader, and nothing but a servant to his people. The last duty he has for them before his passing is to give them a capable leader. Ma Green nods in understanding and concurs with her son. But what about Tiger? He is a walking flame, and one wrong move could set us all on fire. Pa Blue is nervous, knowing that his mother is right. He just has to trust in the strength of the sea. He believes that once the sea has power, it will be so much easier for him to stand against the antics of Tiger. He trusts in the people, knowing that they are not blind to Tiger's ways. They are afraid for the future, just as he is. Ma Green suggests that they talk to the sea, so that he can be prepared. Pa Blue replies that he trusts him, and that he will coronate him before his passing. Ma Green interrupts, almost breaking down. Why does he speak of his passing? Pa Blue is sober, feeling sorry for his mother and his children. He wishes that he could stay a bit longer, and would give anything to live longer just for them. He knows that his body is losing its function, and he feels it coming. </p><p>Ma Green stands up and leaves the room, quite sad. Pa Blue calls out for her, but the physician resumes work on him. Meanwhile, Lily is dancing with other women at the party. They all adorn themselves with flowers and markings on their faces. A woman is searching for her, and she spots Lily in the midst of the dancing crowd. <p>Lily was lost in the rhythm of the music, swaying with the other women at the party. They all adorned themselves with flowers and markings on their faces, creating a mystical atmosphere. Suddenly, a woman appeared, searching for Lily. She whispered something in her ear, and Lily's happy face turned gloomy. The two of them left the gathering, and Sea noticed Lily's frightened expression. They walked out into an open green field, where Eden was waiting for her with his horse. Lily stopped in her tracks as she saw him, and Eden gave a quick nod to the woman before she walked away. He approached her with a smile, greeting her with a warm "hi, Lily." He had brought her expensive garments, perfume oil, and jewelry, the finest Phelarus had to offer.Lily blushed at his kind gesture, but reality hit her hard. The union of a Lander and those of other lands, whether it be Salda, Phelarus, or Greyair, was unheard of. She couldn't accept his gifts, and she knew he should stop coming here. It would do them no good.Eden called for the maid servant, who was not far from them. He handed her the gifts, and Lily couldn't help but notice how expensive they looked. She didn't understand why he was doing this.Eden smiled, ". You are far worth more than this". Lily chuckled, admiring the fact that Eden was such a straightforward man. They had only met three nights ago, and all of a sudden, he was professing

<p>"I don't like to beat around the bush. If I feel something, I let you know how I feel. I don't know how to keep things inside of me. You have clouded my thoughts, my sleep, my mind. I have never felt this way before. I am drawn to you, Lily," Eden confesses."I thought you were a wise man, and you do not know that these crushes don't last. They fade away with time," Lily states."I am well aware, Lily. But I tell you that you are something else. Of course, I have had my fair share of crushes, but I do not know how to explain this," Eden chuckles.Lily walks up to him and holds him on his chest. "Just go home, Eden. It's just a phase. You are so young, and it is understandable. I have been there before. It gets so strong, but with time, it phases away," Lily advises.Eden tries to hold her hand, but she withdraws. "Trust me, Lily. I know all that. I have attained full maturity, and I have felt things. So, you know, Lily, it is not a phase or infatuation," Eden insists.Lily shakes her head. "Go, Eden, and don't come here. When you are far from me and you don't see me, you will get distracted, and I will be off your mind. Just go...please," Lily pleads.Eden begins to protest, but Sea interrupts. "You heard her," Sea comes nearer to Eden with Tiger just behind him, leaning on the tree. "And don't come back ever. You are not welcome, nor will you ever be. So stop this charade and ride back to where you are coming from."Eden scoffed at the accusation that he posed harm to Lily's sister. He simply wanted to see her, and he would continue to do so. But then, Tiger, who was drunk, charged towards him. Eden used his power of the mind to make him temporarily insane. Lily pleaded with him to restore Tiger's sanity, but Eden was angry. What if Tiger had killed him? Sea begged him y

to reverse his power on him , Eden reluctantly agreed. He touched Tiger's head, and he recovered, still shaken. Sea took him back to the village, and Eden looked at Lily. She was afraid of him, and she shouted at him to leave and never come back. Eden was shocked, but he knew he had to go. He got on his horse and rode away, feeling the weight of Lily's words on his shoulders.

Chapter four

<p>Phelar us, the land of art and creativity, is a place shrouded in mystery and intrigue. It is home to the finest crafters and fashion mavens, renowned for their quality fabrics and luxurious lifestyles. Legend has it that Phelarus is where the rich come to throw their gold around, but outsiders beware - the locals are notoriously strict and unwelcoming.Despite its reputation, Phelarus is a natural wonderland, with lush forests and fertile soil that yield bountiful harvests of herbs and other medicinal plants. The people here are known for their ostentatious and flamboyant lifestyles, dressing in rich fabrics and living beyond their means. But there is more to Phelarus than meets the eye. The people here are natural physicians, with a few gifted healers who are revered and serve as defenders of the community. They are the most beautiful and healthy-looking people in the realm, with great skin and long lifespans. The land of the healers is ruled by the enigmatic Chief Physician, Jedi, who has a son and daughter. Kev is set to succeed him, while Zar is betrothed and ready for marriage. <p>The household was thrown into a frenzy of celebration, but Zar remained hidden away in her room, gazing out the window at the bustling crowd below. Her room was as dull and lifeless as she felt, and her mother, Nikky, entered without warning. Zar barely acknowledged her presence, but Nikky persisted, chiding her for her lack of vitality.Zar stood up, feigning exhaustion, and requested privacy. But Nikky was insistent, reminding her of her impending betrothal and the need to put on a cheerful face. Zar scoffed at the idea of a loveless marriage, but Nikky was quick to remind her that love was not always enough. As the maids arrived to prepare her for the meeting with her betrothed, Zar remained sullen and sad. But as she approached the main hall, she put on a smile and greeted everyone with grace and poise. Little did they know, she has a deep longing for a life of her own, free from the constraints of tradition and obligation.

<p>As she approached the grand hall to meet her betrothed Evan and his family, Zar put on a smile and gracefully greeted everyone along the way. Her heart raced as she saw Evan and his family seated at a huge family table. The announcer announced her entrance, "I present to you, Zar, the daughter of Chief Jedi the Sixth, the apple of Iknon's eyes." Upon her arrival, the surrounding guards and Evan's family rose and bowed.Zar greeted her father on his cheeks and sat beside him. "I was talking to your brother. We are going to shut down the whole city," he laughed heartily. "Come, fill the cup, make merry," he cleared his throat.Zar knew what was coming next. Her father had always been open about the topic of intimacy, but it still made her feel uneasy. "Zar, I know this topic is a little inappropriate, but I hope you have been briefed on what goes on under the moonlight, between a man and a woman," he said.Zar replied shyly, "I know all, Father.""Sure about that? Because if your mother keeps a lot from you, it will not be an enjoyable experience for you, and I don't want that. Well, if you'd like me to, I will give a detailed explanation," Jedi interrupted.Zar interrupted him, "I will be fine, Father. Trust me."Jedi nodded and came closer, whispering to her, "Or have you done it?"Zar was shocked and whispered back, "What?"Jedi shrugged, "There is no shame in that." Jedi laughed, and even got up and joined the dancers, dancing. Zar couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that the conversation was over. She knew that her father meant well, but some things were better left unsaid.

<p>In the realm of Landers, there is a celebration underway, but not for the household of Blue Fire. The family is gathered around Tiger, who lies in his bed with a physician by his side. Thankfully, he will recover, but it was a close call. If not for the Eden quick actions, they would have lost him to the beast of the mind. The family is relieved, and the physician bows and takes his leave.Ma Green looks at Sea and Lily, expecting either of them to provide an explanation Lily is angry and said to Sea" Tell Tiger to get a grip and control his rage if he wakes up". Ma Green is curious about what happened, and Sea explains that he was trying to go against one of greyair . "His wine robbed him of his senses, and he acted impulsively" Sea said . Ma Green wonders why one of greyair lad was there and what they were doing.

Meanwhile, in the Floating Palace, Thar Zeptha is anxious and pacing around with her closest advisors. .Zeptha was hoping that they may be a way to wake the curse god iknon, after their fall from the old gods, thousands of years, resulting from their rebellion, she has relentlessly tried to wake up iknon from his cursed slumber, the very one duty, he assigned her should he be punished by the old gods, centuries passed and none of the sorceress could fufil her wish , Zeptha grew fustration and weariness in her heart over the centuries , as one of the fallen loyals of iknon , her fall to the earth realm greatly diminished her powers but it is a secret she kept over the centuries.

As they made their way to the throne room, Thar Zeptha take her seat on the throne made of human bones, The announcer announced to Zeptha that Lyra, the leader of the coven is about to make an entrance, Zeptha whispered, "Send her in." Lyra and her sisters came in, bowing their heads in respect as they entered the room. "We will perform the ritual at the full red moon, your highness," Lyra announced. "We have found a way to wake Iknon up."The room fell silent as Lara explained their plan. "Through extensive research, we have discovered that the holds of the gods weaken at the beginning of the red moon, only to replenish after. This is the perfect time to perform the wake, and we bet our lives on it."Zeptha let out a hearty laugh, relieved to finally have some good news. "Now, Tenon, we must raise an army for Iknon. An army to usher in his return. Fifty men and women from all corners of the realm, chosen for their youth, strength, wisdom, and gifts. We will bestow upon them the powers to guard Iknon after the wake has been performed."Lyra nodded in agreement. "Make haste. Announce to all the realm that it is a battle for the fittest, the strongest, the wisest, and the most gifted. We must prepare them before the wake. Hurry now."Their voices were hushed, their words carefully chosen. For this was a secret mission, one that could change the course of history. The fate of Iknon and the realm rested in their hands, and they would stop at nothing to see it through.

The moonlight shone down on the village, casting an ethereal glow over the festivities. The villagers had gathered to feast, singing and dancing the night away. But Tiger, still in his room, was awoken by a pounding migraine. He stumbled out of bed, his head throbbing as he heard the loud music from the celebration. He knew he needed to find a quiet place to rest.As he approached his father's chambers, he overheard a conversation between his father and Ma Green. "I don't have much time, mother," his father said. "I want to announce to the people that Sea will be my successor." But Ma Green hushed him, warning him that his worries were leading him to an early grave. Tiger listened in shock as his father's health was revealed to be failing.Frustrated and angry, Tiger returned to his room and began to scream and break everything in sight. He was consumed with thoughts of what Sea would do as the new leader. "My great vision is slipping through my hands," he thought.Suddenly, the gong sounded, signaling the start of prayers. Tiger stumbled out of his room and met Sea at the door. Sea examined him, asking if he was well. Tiger nodded, but his rage was palpable. As they lined up for prayers, Ma Green dragged Sea behind her, causing the villagers to murmur and wonder what was going on.Ma Green announced that Tiger was not well and needed to avoid stress. Lily whispered that Sea was at his father's place, and Ma Green assured them it was just for the night. As they walked in line with their gifts and precious stones, Tiger and Sea were both consumed with their own thoughts.Ma Green began to perform the incantation, pouring over them and cursing the people to fall into a deep slumber. The Zeptha guards, heavily armored and cloaked in black, gathered around the realm in silence as the Earthers observed their prayers. The people were shocked to see them, wondering what they were doing there. One of the guards dismounted his horse and approached the crowd with a scroll in his hands."It is with great pleasure that I bring you a message from Thar Zeptha, the right hand of Iknon, the ruler of the realms," he announced. "The mouthpiece of Iknon, the mother of all, the Queen has made a clarion call for the chosen, that will be the soldiers of Iknon. An honor of a lifetime and of the millennium, there will be a contest to pick the most suitable. The chosen, if picked, will bring honor to his household, to the realm, to his generation yet unborn, wealth immeasurable, and status unattainable."The crowd gasped in awe as the guard continued. "The contest will begin at sunrise, and the rule is those who survive the contest will be selected. It will be the contest of life and living. The umpire will officiate the event, and participation should be of your own will. Iknon be with you all."As the guards left, the crowd murmured among themselves. Tiger smiled and whispered, "Iknon, you didn't abandon me after all." He left the crowd, and Sea looked at him. Ma Green approached Sea and said, "I do not wish for you to take part in the contest."Sea was confused and asked why. "Afraid that you will lose me?" he questioned. "This is the only chance I get to pull our realm out of this pit we are in. Think about it, Ma Green. We will finally get the respect we deserve."Ma Green interrupted, "At the expense of your lives?"Sea raised his voice, "Yes, is this life worth living, Ma Green? Where we are the subject of ridicule and humiliation? Both young and old of the other realm look at us as less, as a curse of Iknon. I am not just doing it for us, but for our children yet to come."

Ma Green pleads, "But what if you fail?"Sea replies with conviction, "I am the son of the hunter, Blue Fire. I will set a hunt for my prey at sunrise."He leaves, and Ma Green is left to contemplate his words.

Meanwhile, at Phelarus , the chief and elders are laughing at the comedians' jokes. Nikki approaches Jedi, reminding him that it is time for prayers.Jedi waves his hands dismissively, "Ahbh, just a little time. We will have it. The night is still young, and Iknon is in his best sleep now. It's a beautiful night."Nikki shushes him, "You say the silliest things. At least perform the first rite of the marriage."Jedi jerks up, "Yes, yes, that's very important." He stands up, a bit tipsy, and beckons his announcer. The announcer rings the golden bell and shrugs his voice, "The chief requires your attention."Jedi clears his throat, "Before we get lost in the celebration, we have to do something important. That is to perform the first marriage rite of my beloved daughter, Zar exclaimed, "Father!" The room fell silent as all eyes turned to her. She bowed and apologized for the interruption. "It is important for us to join Zar and the young man Evan according to the ways of the law," she continued. The family of Evan smiled to themselves, and his father clapped his hands in approval.Suddenly, the door burst open and men carried in gifts fit for a king. Boxes of gold, costly clothing, and even a diamond bangle were presented before them. Jedi, the leader of the group, laughed heartily, causing the others to join in. He clapped his hands, and the door opened once more to reveal an even more expensive gift - a gold bangle for Evan's family.Jedi ushered Zar and Evan to face each other. "As you put on these bangles today, you are putting them on as a symbol of union between your families, yourselves, and your hearts," he explained. "This is the first step, and once you put it on, you are joined never to be broken."Zar hesitated, even though it was the first rite of marriage. She would be considered married or taken. Panic set in, and she still hesitated until a loud trumpet interrupted her thoughts. The announcer came in, presenting the soildiers of Thar Zeptha, the right hand of Iknon, the mother of all. The crowd gasped in awe.Jedi nervously welcomed them and announced that it was time for prayers. The leader of the guards stepped forward to deliver his message, and Zar asked about the contest if she can participate The soildiers nodded, and declared that "the contest know no name or status."Zar let out a piercing squeal of joy as the men left, leaving her alone with Jedi who was in a state of shock. "Wow, that's...wow," he muttered under his breath. Suddenly, Jedi's mind was racing as he realized the gravity of the situation. "Send the town criers and announce this to the whole village," he commanded. But before he could finish his thought, Zar interrupted him. She looked hopeful as she spoke, "It is my right to participate. It is my will." Nikky, who had been watching the exchange, looked at her with concern. "Don't you dare do what I am thinking," she warned. But Zar was determined. She stood up and faced her father, "I will participate in the contest." Jedi was taken aback, "Are you out of your mind?" he exclaimed. But Zar was resolute, "It is my will, father. You heard what the soildier said." Jedi turned to Nikky, "Do something, talk her out of it." But Nikky was angry, "She is your daughter too," she retorted. Jedi knew that Nikky was right, but he also knew that Zar was stubborn and would not be swayed. The crowd was thrown into a state of confusion as they watched the drama unfold.Meanwhile, in Salda, the people had gathered for prayers in the middle of the celebration. As they prayed, a voice was heard, "Make way!" The crowd parted and gasps were heard as soon as they saw Thar Zeptha soildiers The crowd murmured as one of the soldiers came down to deliver the message, "Greetings, Salda." As soon as the message was delivered, Gen Master murmured, "Why so sudden? They did not give ample time to prepare for such a contest." Gen was soon lost in thought and shook her head. "It's a matter of life and death," she pondered. "What do I have lo ose

The festival in greyair was in full swing, but for Eden, it was just another day spent lying quietly in his plain, white library-like room. His mind was consumed by memories of his meeting with Lily, and as soon as he thought of it, he cursed and lost himself in thought. Suddenly, a knock interrupted his reverie. Irritated, Eden shouted that he wished to see no one, but the knocking only grew louder. Finally, he stood up and opened the door to see Irene standing there."I said I wish to see no one," Eden grumbled as Irene made her way into the room."You won't believe what happened today," Irene exclaimed, taking a seat opposite him. "Thar Zeptha's soildiers were here."Eden was surprised. "Thar Zeptha? The very one? I almost thought she didn't exist."Irene continued, "They look exactly like the tales, with the crescent on their armor. They spoke about a contest, a contest of life and death. A few will be chosen to serve as the elite soldiers of Iknon. They speak of wealth, status, and honor as rewards."Eden snorted and laughed. "All this at the cost of my life? Life is far more worth it, Irene. Live first, the others may probably follow."Irene nodded in agreement, she stood to leave "I will leave you to have your beauty sleeps" she smiled and she left, Eden pretended to sleep. But as soon as the door closed, he opened his eyes and thought about it. The idea of a contest for life and death was both thrilling and terrifying. Could he risk it all for the chance at wealth and status? The thought consumed him, and he knew he had a decision to make.
