Chapter 1

Angelica looked at Fortuna Roman Goddess and thought about her troubled past, hauntings that only finally abated after becoming Her follower. The youth lost due to "schizophrenia" had always been painful for Angelica to even think about.

Fortuna Roman Goddess put Her hand on Angelica's back and comforted the sorrowful woman: "It wasn't wasted youth. You learned so much from your experiences; it was a tough journey, but spiritually you gained much understanding and strength through your triumphant battles over the dark forces. In my opinion, it only shows how much of a fighter you are."

There was something that bothered Fortuna Roman Goddess about what Angelica was feeling: Angelica was stuck in the past and it was not doing her any good. She honestly thought that being Angelica's patron Goddess was the easy part, while time itself would have to suffice as the main factor for Angelica's healing.

Angelica always referred to her Goddess as Fortuna Roman Goddess, even though sometimes she called her just Fortuna. This was because Angelica felt using Fortuna’s full name and title was sacred, and it differentiated Fortuna Roman Goddess from unseen dark forces that might try to trick her by telling her that they were called Fortuna.

They had already done all they could with the spells for Angelica's protection and healing, and what remained was for the spells to work over time, when all the right things align. Angelica's spells were all addressed to Fortuna Roman Goddess, and that meant it was more of Fortuna Roman Goddess doing the work than it was Angelica using her own soul energy to work the magick in the spells. But, really, it was a mix of both.

Something on television the other day reminded Angelica of evil spirits and demons, not that she knew how to differentiate between the two in real life, having only limited clairvoyant abilities. She knew dark unseen forces had previously haunted her for almost a decade, but she never knew if there had only been evil spirits or if there had also been disturbances by demons too.

Angelica had felt unseen things going into her body and causing her pain from the inside, and there had been instances of those things causing her to move her body and to speak confusing and negative, scary things against her own will. She thought she might have had multiple possessions over the years, and either the evil spirits were sent away or, at different times, they hung around, but they were never totally gone.

There was one instance when Angelica was writhing in pain in bed, and burn marks appeared on her arms and legs. The skin on her back was scratched, too, as it appeared out of nowhere, and it seeped plasma slightly without bleeding. The burn marks were a few inches long and looked brown. The burns hurt badly, like someone had lashed out at Angelica with hot pots and pans a few days earlier.

They were psychic energy burns; she had heard some unseen positive voices telling her what had happened. She had started hearing voices when she was training to listen to messages from angels, as she was getting into psychic development to become a psychic reader at 19 years old. They were not always clearly audible in her mind or to her ears, but the messages had always been positive, with a feeling of a supernatural calming warmth accompanying the messages from the angels.
