Many women in marriages that are not working well and who have been in the same dysfunctional place for years tend to struggle with whether it's biblically acceptable to get a divorce or not.
I found myself in this place years ago and went on a journey to find answers.
I wrestled with how the decision would affect everyone involved if I stayed versus if I left.
Both sides are responsible for this.
The constant back and forth in my mind was exhausting.
This book follows along with the journey of a woman seeking to find the biblical basis for divorce so that you can learn from what she did.
It centers on a fictional character but is heavily inspired by nonfictional events.
This book is not at all claiming to be the rule for everyone.
Everyone's situation is different and ultimately, God is the only one who knows the ins and outs of yours.
As Christians, we tend to do one of two things when it comes to hearing God. Either we rely solely on the scriptures without the use of the Holy Spirit, helping us to interpret those scriptures correctly or we rely solely on what we think.
We hear God's Holy Spirit saying to us and discount the much-needed validation from the Holy Scriptures.
Neither is accurate, but rather a combination of both.
I pray that this book helps you to hear God concerning your marriage or divorce.
This write-up is to set the women of God free from the bondage of being forced to stay in a dysfunctional and ungodly union based solely on unbiblical religious theology.
I know what that's like, and it's not fun.
I attempt to shed light on those instances where God did not approve of the union.
The fact is that some marriages have occurred that he has not been pleased with.
This book attempts to help you find out if your marriage is one of them and why it is fair and advisable to leave.
This is a book that cuts out all the threads and gets right to the point.
It was created for those who are drowning in their current marriages and who need help fast.

The perspective of Divorce
If you are a Christian and you are in a dysfunctional marriage, you've likely begun searching to see if there is any information supporting divorce for Christians.
That certainly was the case for Lauren.
After nearly 10 years of marriage, she went in search of any reputable Christian leader who had anything positive to say about the subject.
Unfortunately, she was out of luck.
She was unable to find much in support of divorce in any circumstance and the theology behind what she could find didn't seem biblical to her, nor was it an agreement with her spirit.
She was pretty sure that she had heard God correctly when he urged her to leave her husband, but it seemed contrary to everything she knew to be true concerning the subject of divorce until she could find some hard evidences that she truly felt was both consistent with God's written word and with what he'd been speaking to her.
She wasn't going to be able to leave in peace.
So for another year and a half, she stayed and grew more and more miserable every day.
Then one day after an incident that was just the last straw for her, she got fed up. She started researching, praying, and asking God to show her the theology behind what she was hearing. She just told him how she felt. She told him that she knew the way that he created her.
She was the kind of person who could do anything that she put her mind to, but because of what she'd been taught, she was having a hard time putting her mind to this.
Well, she's going to have the strength to leave and to stick with a decision without going back and forth until she could hear him clearly concerning the details.
She needed the insurance to know that the decision she made would be one that he would be accepting.
