Cast on 80 [86, 94, 104, 112] sts with 5.5mm (US 9, UK 5) needles, double strands of yarn, work in 1/1 rib stitch for 2 ¾ in. (7cm).
Continue in St st with 6mm (US 10, UK 4) needles.
At 13 ½ in. (34cm) up the sides, mark the border stitches with colored yarn to identify the armholes.

Cast on 80 [86, 94, 104, 112] sts with 5.5mm (US 9, UK 5) needles, double strands of yarn, work in 1/1 rib stitch for 2 ¾ in. (7cm).
Continue in St st with 6mm (US 10, UK 4) needles.
At 10 ¼ in. (26cm) up the sides, mark the border stitches with a colored yarn to identify the armholes.
At 16 ½ [17, 17 ¼, 17 ¾, 18 ¼] in. (42 [43, 44, 45, 46] cm) up the sides, shape the neckline by binding off the 12 [14, 14, 14, 14] central sts, then continue one side at a time by binding off the neckline side every 2 rows: 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 sts every 4 rows: 3 x 1 sts.

You have 52 [56, 58, 62, 64] sts.
At 16 ¼ [15 ¾, 15 ½, 15, 14 ½] in. (41 [40, 39, 38, 37] cm) up the sides, bind off the sts gently.
Work the second sleeve in the same way.
Cast on 102 [106, 106, 106, 106] sts with 5.5mm (US 9, UK 5) needles, double strands of yarn, work in 1/1 rib stitch for 1 in. (2.5cm), then make 1 p row on the front and a few rows of St st of another color.
Iron these rows; it will be enough to unravel them at the time of assembly to find the base color.
Sew the shoulder seams.
Attach the sleeves to the armholes between the colored yarns.
Sew the side seams until it reaches the front St st (slit on the sides, see photo left).
Sew the seams of the sleeves.
Sew the neckline band, matching st by st, with backstitches on the reverse side of the project.
Unravel different color rows.
The slanted lines on this jacket lend it a unique look. Pull on this sweater for a weekend getaway or shopping trip. It looks great when paired with a neutral, monochromatic outfit and dark boots.

At a total length of 17 ¼ in. (44cm), mark the left border stitch with a colored yarn to identify the armhole.
At a total length of 26 [26 ½, 26 ¾, 27 ¼, 27 ½] in. [66 [67, 68, 69, 70] cm), mark the 67 [69, 69, 69, 69] right sts with a colored yarn to locate the neckline and bind off the sts smoothly.
Work the left front in the opposite direction.
Cast on 56 [60, 64, 66, 70] sts with 6mm (US 10, UK 4) needles, work in St st, and working at 2 sts from the edges on each side: every 10 rows: 10 x 1 inc (every 12 rows: 3 x 1 inc and every 10 rows: 6 x 1 inc; every 12 rows: 2 x 1 inc and every 10 rows: 7 x 1 inc; every 10 rows: 7 x 1 inc and every 8 rows: 3 x 1 inc; every 10 rows: 9 x 1 inc).
At a total length of 19 ¼ [19, 18 ½, 18, 17 ¾] in. (49 [48, 47, 46, 45] cm), bind off the 76 [78, 82, 86, 88] sts smoothly.
Work the second sleeve in the same way.
Sew the shoulder seams.
Attach the sleeves to the armholes between the colored yarns.
Sew the seams on the sides and sleeves.
Make an I-cord around the jacket and sleeves as foll: with the double-pointed needles, cast on 4 sts, then k the first 3 sts on the front, slide the 4th st without knitting it.
With the second needle, lift 1 st on the edge of the jacket and k this st to the end. Then pass the sts on the k sts.
Do not rotate the piece, but rep the sts from the beginning (i.e., k in rounds).
Always rep this row.
You can also make knitted bands to the measurements of the patterns and sew them around the jacket and sleeves.
A blend of two multicolored yarns in various shades of pink work together to give this simple scarf design a little something extra. You can have this quick scarf crocheted in a few hours. Use it to accessorize with a dark jacket and jeans to really let the colors shine.
