ABILITY

We are not saying that we can do this work ourselves.

It is God who makes us able to do all that we do.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:5 NCV

Take a new grip with your tired hands and

lame will not fall but become strong.

ADOPTION

You did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into

fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When

we cry, “Abba! Father!” it is that very Spirit bearing

witness with our spirit that we are children of God.

The LORD will not abandon His people on account of

His great name, because the LORD has been pleased

to make you a people for Himself.

A father of the fatherless and a judge for

the widows, is God in His holy habitation.

MADE ON PURPOSE

It was you who formed my inward parts;

you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you, for I am fearfully

and wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works;

that I know very well.

Even before you were born, the Lord was busy working on you. God knew what color your eyes were going to be, and how thick or thin or curly or straight your hair would turn out. And even better, he knew all the character traits that add up to exactly what makes you, you!

Here’s the best thing: God doesn’t make mistakes. What does that mean for you? It means that he knew what he was doing with every trait he gave you. He thinks you are wonderful!

You may be questioning why you were born with such and such, or why you have this or that personality trait. But he made you that way on purpose, to use it for his glory, because he saw the beauty in you!

PRAYER:

Lord, help me to see how wonderfully you’ve made me, every day. You don’t make mistakes. I want to believe that. You formed each part of me with your perfect design. I want to embrace my unique purpose and walk in all you have called me to.

ANXIETY

Be still in the presence of the LORD

and wait patiently for him to act.

Don’t worry about evil people who prosper

or fret about their wicked schemes.

Stop being angry!

Turn from your rage!

Do not lose your temper—

it only leads to harm.
