Every day, events happen that can be seen from a different perspective. Here I try to document such views. Whether you can agree with them or not is up to you.

Far be it from me to attack anyone here or to judge anyone. Rather, it is my view of things, as I interpret it below. It may well be that one or the other thinks that this is a radical view of things. But sometimes it seems to me that you bury your head in the sand. Not reacting will solve itself. I believe that this thread runs through the entire writing. As I said, this is not paternalism of anyone, but my opinion on various things at home and abroad.

New Year – Even More Conflicts
It was almost to be assumed that there had been a counterstrike on the part of Iran. But what comes after that? A retaliatory strike by Israel? But now it looks like they are already fighting on two fronts and the third conflict is just opening up. This concerns the attacks of the Houthi rebels from Yemen. Perhaps Israel now also wants to send troops there to continue the spiral of escalation. Even if it is heard from Iran that it is not interested in a full-scale war, this remains in the room. Why America also feels obliged to intervene in this conflict shows that peace is not exactly being thought of. For example, missiles are intercepted by American warships to show solidarity with Israel without being aware of the consequences. The fact is that there will soon be a 3-front war and other great powers, such as Russia as well as China, will not stand idly by and watch this goings-on. The whole thing would be very easy to solve. A ceasefire is decided, then peace negotiations and finally a two-state solution, which is vehemently rejected by Israel. Whether this is possible with the current decision-makers is extremely questionable, but there is no alternative. If solutions are not found soon, the whole thing will not only affect the Middle East, but much more areas.
What other natural disasters have to happen before America reacts to them? Not only that, since the population in these states has lost their belongings, they have to start their lives all over again. The visits to the affected areas by the president and his vice president are unlikely to be of any use. But now this state is one of the biggest polluters on this planet. Yes, money has been promised to those affected, only their lives have been shattered by such catastrophes, whether financial promises will be enough is hardly to be assumed. Rather, one should think about how to research and use more alternative energy sources. Our earth shows us very rigorously how much we as an "intelligent" individual damage this planet and not only with hurricanes, but also with other natural disasters, such as tidal waves and floods. Suppose you rebuild everything in the areas affected by the hurricane, who says that there will not be such natural events again in a few months.
It is about a so-called sovereignty law, which is intended to prevent the interference of foreign media. But this is not the first time that this EU member has opposed European rights, and probably not the last. The EU Commission is therefore suing Hungary before the European Court of Justice. How many fines and other measures will the Hungarian president unleash before he is aware that his country is part of this union. After all, this country benefits from this membership, so one would think that it would also comply with the rules and laws that apply in this EU. If Hungarians then also look at the situation in England, which has to deal with a wide variety of problems after leaving this community, this should also give Viktor Orbán pause for thought. It is difficult to judge whether the citizens of Hungary agree with his policy, because not only foreign but also domestic media are to be restricted. Is this the first step from Hungary away from a democracy to a dictatorship?
From November this year, the EU wants to levy up to 35 percent of punitive tariffs on Chinese e-cars. While it was still 3.5 percent in 2020, the share of new registrations rose to 27 percent of Chinese cars in the 2nd quarter of 2024. It was not possible to agree between the Union and China and therefore they want to take this step. But won't there also be reactions from China to such tariffs? After all, both sides are dependent on each other when it comes to import and export. You can't exactly compare this, but what was the consequence in the last century, where there was a world economic crisis around 1930? The whole thing escalated into mass unemployment and consequently into a world war. It is precisely through such restrictions in trade that tens of thousands of jobs are certainly endangered, and this in turn leads to rebellion among the population. Apparently, the Union has to do the same as the Chinese. You promote the automotive industry with subsidies and can perhaps become more competitive there, but this fails due to lack of funds. The car industry in the EU is a bit too rigid to carry out such efforts. Because in recent years and decades, people have only assumed that larger cars with a lot of horsepower and combustion engines would be the right thing. It is also obvious that the industry cannot adapt its production to such tendencies overnight, but one should finally switch on the right path.
The Court of Justice in the European Union in Luxembourg ruled on the basis of an Austrian lawsuit that the police can also access the data of mobile phones earlier, even if it is not a matter of serious crime. For years, there was discussion about how to counter terrorism, for example, and the whole procedure had to end up before the ECJ once again. In the meantime, the lawbreakers, such as terrorists, have made use of these media. When it comes to people who cannot or do not want to comply with national and international laws, this decision of the highest court in the Union can be described as correct. But the challenge is that the privacy of each individual person should also be preserved. However, since not only terrorists use these media, the communication of mafia groups should also be scrutinized. As you can see from the media, this is an effective means for such illegal organizations and that across borders. This can put the security of the individual countries under great strain in both terrorist and mafia communications. Is that in the interest of the citizen?
This is not about weapons for one's own defense, but about offensive weapons. It is to be hoped that other states will also follow suit. As long as the whole range of weapons is delivered, there can be no ceasefire and the spiral of escalation will continue to be fueled. However, this applies not only to the Middle East, but also to the war in Ukraine. As long as there are always supplies of tanks, planes and ammunition, there will probably be no negotiations for peace in either conflict. It's just that an increase in this industry devours an enormous amount of money, which could certainly be put to better use. Now they are pouring a lot of billions into this industry and forgetting about much more urgent problems, such as global warming. But there are always individuals who take their own population hostage as far as their own interests are concerned. The citizen can always pay for this.
In a radio interview in connection with asylum, he said that these bring "bad genes" into the country. Now you can still remember statements that Joe Biden made about his then competitor for the highest office in the USA. Biden has been accused of a number of things that have no basis. But are Trump's statements better now? Not only does he divide his own population with such speeches, but one can hardly determine the seriousness of this office with them. One could almost think that he, like Biden, would withdraw his candidacy, if only because of his age. The only question is what reactions and
