Go, help me to listen before I speak and pause when I feel anger rising up in me or in others. Lord, I need you to strengthen me to be a self-controlled leader in what I say and how I say things especially when anger rears its ugly head. I don’t want to allow stress and frustration to lead to firing off words that hurt others. And if I do, please help me to humbly go back and apologize.

Thank you, loving Father, for the eternal life you freely offered to me and to anyone else who believes in you. I don’t want to get so busy or focused on other things that I forget there are those around me, maybe even on my team, who don’t believe. Do they truly know who you are, that you dearly love them, and that you have an amazing plan for them which includes an eternity in your presence? Help me share the gospel with those you place in my path.
