Richard Russell Riordan Jr., a renowned author, was born on June 5, 1964, and raised in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Texas. He spent his formative years in the Lone Star State, attending Alamo Heights High School. Initially, Riordan embarked on a different path, pursuing his passion for music and enrolling in the music program at North Texas State University with dreams of becoming a guitarist.
