While walking through many trials of hardship, brokenness and shattered dreams, I found myself desperate to find the Lord on an intimate level. During that time, the scripture: “knock and the door will be opened, seek and you will find” became reality to me. I found myself in His constant presence, discovering life in the spirit. There in the fire where everything around me fell apart, Jesus met and drew me into His heart. No words can express the love I developed for the Lord. On this journey, I discovered a key that has the power to unveil the true identity inside of our being and to open our mind to true and hidden things of God’s Kingdom and – most importantly – to the greatest love affair with our Creator. Once we discover that we are not merely human but a spirit being and thus meant to live in the Spirit we cannot get enough of His presence because He becomes the very center of our existence. This key is the prayer language of the Holy Spirit, which has set me free, given me strength beyond my own understanding and still is opening my eyes to the spiritual reality more and more every day. It sets my heart on fire, burning with a holy desire for the holy God, the only true God. What an adventure awaits those who become one with the Holy Spirit and embrace Him fully.

Carrying His Marks
The reason I wrote this book is to share my passion for Jesus – with the hope to kindle a fierce fire in the heart of the reader.
I am deeply in love with Him and cannot express in words how fathomless the things of the Lord are. Once we enter into His fountain of life and experience the deep drink of His presence, we will come to the place of realization that there is nothing that will ever satisfy us but drinking from Him.
The depth that I have experienced in my own relationship with the Lord, especially in a time of complete brokenness, has transformed me into a woman that is longing for more and cannot get enough of His presence. It has brought me to a place where deep calls to deep and my desire is to be completely one with the Holy Spirit.
In my time of brokenness, I was touched by Heaven and filled with unspeakable love and healing. It created a profound intimacy with the Lord and a manifestation of His life within me. I am simply undone by the immeasurable fountain of love and passion Jesus has for humanity. His love erases all sins. He does not condemn but reaches out to every heart and soul. Jesus says in His Word that by His love we will be nourished:
You must continually let my love nourish your hearts.
~ John 15:9 TPT ~
There is this one command that is the greatest, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength”; and the other one is “Love one another deeply”. If we embrace the first command, we will receive the gift of love in a great measure. It will enlarge our hearts to love people because we will be able to see with eyes of compassion and care.
I have experienced this in my own life. I never thought to be able to love and forgive on such an immeasurable level. It is supernatural! There was a time in my walk with God where Jesus allowed me to feel a small part of His heart when He was hanging on the cross and said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34 TPT).
The Lord poured love into me, love for others that had hurt me badly. When I finally was willing to forgive them, He allowed me to feel His heart for those people, so my heart was filled with love and compassion, and I shed many tears for them (and not because of my own pain!). It truly is not normal for a human to experience that, unless being one with the heartbeat of Jesus Christ. We are not capable to love that fathomlessly unless Jesus through us does it. It is His character, His compassion, His love for humanity.
Jesus has taught me that He loves man but hates sin. There is a big difference – seeing people through the eyes of Jesus means to separate person and sin. Sin is bondage and keeps the soul of man captive.
Jesus came to set the captives free! He has given us the power to continue that work here on earth. Our lives should be the mirror of the character of Jesus Christ.
His glory is revealed in that we surrender our live; a humble heart is the key to enter into the hidden and greater things of the Lord.
In this book, I’d like to share with you a part of my journey. It truly is the “narrow path” that we must walk in order to become more and more like Him. It will cost us everything, but it is so worth it. So very worth it!
That path, one will only find in a love relationship with Jesus and with a humble heart.
If we lose our life to Him in the secret place and totally let go of our natural desires, we will find the road that leads us right into the heart of the Lord.
If we lay down everything and embrace living a life in God’s presence we will be led into the secret Chamber of the Bridegroom. There is a different life waiting for us: life in the Spirit.
My heart searches for the greater knowledge of God, for His wisdom, understanding and for His secrets. His Spirit is my very breath; once we discover that we are not merely human but a spirit being and thus meant to live in the Spirit, we cannot get enough of His presence because He becomes the center of our very existence.
I would like to encourage you to have an open mind and heart. Come on this journey with me, by reading about my experiences of how I got to the place of rest and how praying in the Spirit is the hidden doorway to a greater place of intimacy with Jesus. His prayer language has set me free, given me strength beyond my own understanding and still is opening my eyes to the spiritual reality more and more every day. It sets my heart on fire, burning with a holy desire for the holy God, the only true God, the God of Israel.
Friends, there is an adventure for your soul, the most amazing adventure in all the world. It takes a brave soul to step into the light of God and receive the equipment He provides. That is no place for cowards. A cowardly spirit, a spirit that is always hiding, always apologizing for his faith, will never enter there – that is, the gate of God. That is the gate into His Spirit.

Prologue
As surely as there is a physical body,
there is also a spiritual body.

THE AWAKENING
Spring 2017
Spring is in the air. As I sit here in the woods behind my house, tucked away from the busyness of this world, I am aware of the awakening, the awakening from the deep winter sleep.
The trees move back and forth with the wind, playing their music. The air breezes through the branches and awakens the buds from their winter sleep. Kissed by the breath of life.
The birds are back, singing a beautiful spring song. I hear the whisper of the Spirit say, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19 NIV).
One can sense life coming back into the new season. The warmth of the sun is awakening the flowers, the trees and the animals. The sunlight shines new life into Creation and is kissing everything awake. The blanket that winter laid upon the flower beds and surroundings put everything into a deep sleep, but it can’t stay that way...
“Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”
~ Ephesians 5:14 NLT ~
It’s time to wake up. It’s time to open our eyes! Just like the flowers are coming back from the ground, making their way back to the surface and blooming in their most beautiful state, so we are to bloom.
The birds tweet their song to the Creator, telling us how to worship: singing a song into the atmosphere of “Come away with me, wake up, it’s time” (see Song of Songs 2:10–13). Spring is here, it’s time to shine, it’s time to take the blanket off and come to life! It’s time to awaken your heart, reconnecting it with the Spirit of Life, the Spirit of God.
There is more to it than what we have been taught.
Come back to the garden, let the Father touch you, embrace you, and show you who you truly are: You are to be aware of spiritual things, to see into the unseen, to learn the language of the Creator, to taste, smell and hear what you are created for.
When Jesus walked this earth, He only did what He “saw” the Father do. He was completely awake in the Spirit and allowed His Spirit to fully rule His soul and body. He was totally Spirit led (John 5:19.)
Once we wake up from our dim slumber and realize that we indeed are created to be in heavenly places right now (without having to die first), we will wake up to our true identity. There is such a thing as living in the spirit realm; for us, as born-again believers, this should become our normal element.
I have become aware of how blinded we are in this dimension that we live in; and we miss so much by not living in the constant presence of the Lord, led by His Spirit.
We are in the time of the greatest awakening! All of us have the choice to embrace His call.
My lover said to me, “Rise up my darling! Come away with me, my fair one! Look, the winter is past, and the rains are over and gone. The flowers are springing up, the season of singing birds has come. … Rise up my darling! Come away with me, my fair one!”
~ Song of Songs 2:10–11; 13 NLT ~
Chapter I
I have come to set the Earth on Fire
I have come to set the earth on fire.
And how I long for every heart to be already ablaze
with this fiery passion for God!
~ Luke 12:49 TPT ~
This book is to tell about a lost key that, to me, is a great treasure. A key that has the power to unveil the true identity inside of our being and to open our mind to true and hidden things and – most importantly – to the greatest love affair with our Creator. A key that will set the earth on fire!
For Jesus Himself said, “I have come to set the earth on fire. And how I long for every heart to be already ablaze with this fiery passion for God!” (Luke 12:49 TPT). What a powerful statement!
Jesus Himself was the fire walking this earth. He set the hearts on fire with His piercing and living words. Even greater: He is the living Word.
With His actions, with His fierce love and tongue He pierced through the hearts of the people to the very core. He was, and still is, the living tongue that sets the earth on fire.
Before He left this earth, He promised His disciples they would be baptized with fire! This fire came on the day of Pentecost and filled them with tongues of fire. This is what I am referring to as a key: the prayer language of the Kingdom of God, known as “speaking in tongues.”
What a powerful weapon of refining fire it is, a fire that circumcises to the core; the fire that brings forth the new creation that has been born inside of us on the day when we were saved.
Praying in tongues kindles a fire within us, a burning desire to become intimate with Jesus to such a degree that we want to be all that He has created us to be.
Praying in tongues has changed me dramatically into a passionate lover of God and taught me to draw closer and closer to Him. Often, when praying, I have no words left to say, then I simply continue my prayer time in the language of the Holy Spirit. He knows what we need to pray for. He knows how to intercede through us.
In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.
And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of God’s people in accordance with God’s will.
~ Romans 8:26–27 AMP ~
THEY WILL SPEAK IN TONGUES
And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe:
They will drive out demons in the power of my name.
They will speak in tongues.
~ Mark 16:17 TPT ~
There is a hidden secret in the language of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, it has been misunderstood and misplaced for many generations. Only a few have discovered the power of it and asked to receive this mantle of fire.
I have met Christians who do not believe in it, saying “that was just for the historic Biblical times.” Others are scared of it and some even mock it, which grieves me deeply.
Most churches have rejected the power of tongues and do not teach on that subject.
In the Bible, it says:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
~ Hosea 4:6 KJV ~
There are a few that have started to move in that gift again; they have discovered that speaking in tongues is for today and indeed an important part of our journey on earth, to survive and to be strong. It is the superpower, the ancient Hero, the Spirit of God, living inside of us, empowering us to be a super-man, a super-woman in the Spirit, clothed with His power — yet it is important to always keep a humble heart and mind and always be glorifying Jesus Christ. He is the Hero working through us.
When we read Mark 16:17 and truly meditate on those words, we will discover a hidden powerful message, a message that has been overlooked for generations due to lack of knowledge and understanding.
These are the words of Jesus Himself! So take heed.
Jesus said:
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
~ Mark 16:17–18 NKJV ~
It basically says, “those that believe” in Jesus Christ “will speak in new tongues” – and the signs that will follow them are miracles, signs and wonders; and they will drive out demons “in My name”.
If we truly understand this scripture then we have found the solution of an immeasurable mystery!
From a teacher I learnt that in Hebrew, “character” means “name”. With this revelation and knowledge, we can read that verse like this:
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My “character” they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues.
~ Mark 16:17 NKJV ~
Being transformed into the character of Jesus Christ will make the demons flee. Demons flee from the presence of the Lord. What a powerful revelation!
I have discovered in my own life that speaking in tongues is a key to be shaped into the character of Jesus Christ, because it is truly a refining fire! When we pray in tongues, a specific transfiguration takes place – the character of God is forming in us.
I am not saying that if one is not praying in tongues, the Lord cannot do a deep work in them; if you have received the Holy Spirit, in any case, a transformation should take place:
But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One then you are not of Him.
Now Christ lives in you! And even though your body may be dead because of sin, His life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God.
~ Romans 8:9–10 TPT ~
Now let me ask you a question: If we are indeed dominated by the Spirit of God, why would we not long and pursue to have all of His freely given gifts? And why wouldn’t we seek to be filled and empowered with His gift of tongues?
