Rest in peace, my brother. You live on in all of our hearts forever. You are truly missed. You are loved by many people. We still cannot believe that you are gone, and it does not feel like it, it feels like you are still here with us. Your memory lives on. Your very words will live on.

The Sayings of Daryl Frank Seldon

The Sayings of Daryl Frank Seldon Book 1

Daryl Frank Seldon was born on September 28th, 1981, and passed on February 27th, 2022. He was the sixth child out of six siblings. My brother graduated from Columbus State University with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A), English Language and Literature 2000-2004. A Master of Science (MS), Community Psychology 2006-2009.

Around family and friends, he spoke a language that was satirical, and philosophical. He was a deep thinker that made people really think and say wow. Daryl could talk to anyone, his tongue had a powerful influence. He could turn a non-believing person into a believing person, and a believing person into a non-believing person. He could turn a skeptic into a believer. Daryl could take a subject through a scientific method, dissect it, and show you all the formulations behind it.

My brother was a highly intelligent being that could change the whole world. When he opened his mouth people crowded around him. His knowledge and comedic satire quotes sent people's minds into deep thought. Here in this e-book are some satirical quotes he said throughout this year on his social media site. I put quotation marks around his quotes to indicate this is his voice and this is his very words that he typed. His quotes:

RIP- My brother

The Manager thought Fallacy

“I call it the Manager fallacy because managers think when they are not making enough money, instead of looking at the design of their operation and discovering wasteful practices, they think they are just being too nice.  And they go about being mean to everyone and making a-hole policies to increase the level of suffering since they imagine a lack of suffering must be why they are not making enough money.

I call it the austerity fallacy because when countries go bankrupt, instead of looking at the capitalist crooks who are robbing them blind, they figure they must be being too nice, especially to poor people.  So they crack down on services to the poor, disabled, old, and other vulnerable populations.  Since they weren't spending much on these people in the first place, and the spending they were doing was preventing them from having to do much more expensive spending, it doesn't work.  It just makes a lot of misery and makes them feel better that they are no longer being too nice.  It's a very animalistic reaction, but incredibly common in individuals and translates to group actions.”

“why you haven't gotten rich

putting all your eggs in one basket can literally be fatal, that's why not many people can do it and those who can do it, then make a lot of money, then become targets for murder and robbery by people who want their money or die of drug overdose. that's why it's not often done, doing it cause those who have done it to go into extinction quicker for the most part. even as a planet, our taking too much too soon is looking like it will cause extinction if we don't stop and so far, we haven't stopped. even as natural disasters of large scale are happening more and more frequently.”

“I get the point, but doing as they do is also a good way to avoid being crucified, so that's where the expression comes from. Jesus got crucified then Rome told everyone that he said, "Pay your taxes and turn the other cheek." In other words, don't be a rebel like me, see what happens. And it worked so well technology didn't recover for thousands of years of stagnation, where taxes and turning the other cheek prevailed among everyone except the religious elite, who paid little or no taxes and kept killing and torturing people. Till the environment started warming back up and it led us to the life-threatening warming snap we are experiencing today. Now, we need to cool off a bit.”

The Sayings of Daryl Frank Seldon

“I don't believe general intelligence can be measured or is what is being measured for the reason that you can't predict what students will need to survive in the future, ever. You also can't predict what they will need to be happy which is a totally different problem, both are highly affected by black swans like 9/11, sudden changes in technology and diet, etc. What is being measured in China is highly correlated with simply conformity. Along with conformity, genetic drift and inbreeding is measured. Who conforms the best? Societies with low genetic diversity. There are fewer genes with which to cause variation, also the width, and horizontal layout of the society make the landscapes less diverse and increase conformity (remember Guns, Germs, and Steel). Variation is better for long-term survival obviously, you have more tricks in your toolbox. If a sudden cool snap happens, you've got people who have been evolving in the cold mountains. If a sudden warming period, you've got people who have been evolving near the equator. And they have mixed so the diversity is constantly shared. Don't put all your eggs in one basket is a microcosm of how to avoid extinction.”
