I gasped as I jumped up from my spot on the ground, my eyes going wide in terror as I looked around but only managed to find myself in a sort of a valley of some kind, however it's not one I've seen before.
The grass is dried up and dead, lying down awkwardly to cover the ground which was dried and creaking. The sky was a dark red as the sun set and was turning an even darker red as time passed, I guessed it was nearing the end of the day. I squinted my eyes in order to see through the light easier in order to spot land on the other side but there wasn’t any.
I looked around the valley once again, hoping or not hoping to find anything of interest, this time catching a glance of these creatures, they were shadowed by the oncoming darkness of the night so I couldn't tell what they were at first as they were far away. However, that didn’t last long. In the blink of an eye, they were suddenly about halfway near me and I caught a glimpse of what they looked like.
They looked like crushed creatures but they weren't any I could identify, their skulls were crushed with blood and brains leaking out. Their bones popped out from any part of their bodies, some were broken in many different ways but somehow they lifted their arms to reach out for me as I backed up or at least tried to. Their eyes were wide and bloodshot with crazed smiles crossing onto their lips.
A cracking sound like that of rock breaking into pieces sounded, I whipped my head around in a circle to find the source of the noise. My eyes widened in terror and my heart nearly stopped at the sight before me, a giant rock slab had suddenly appeared before me right where the ghostly creatures had once been.
It was cracked and covered in moss but it was still sturdy and strong. I stared at the rock for a few seconds before the crushed creatures appeared right before me, their smiles even wider than before. I blinked before another rock appeared before me, this one behind me. I looked around to find the sun setting down below the horizon, it’s dark rays fading from sight.
I stared for a few seconds before two more rocks appeared at my sides, joining the first two and trapping me inside. Panic set in as the two of the slabs started moving toward me, adrenaline filled my veins and I tried to move but I couldn't. I struggled, pushed, pulled and writhed, anything I could to try to get away, but nothing worked and when I looked down, I realized why I couldn't move.
Broken and wrongly adjusted arms were wrapped taut around my body, a twisted and wrecked face slowly looked up at me with an evil twisted grin as they stared into my wide eyes. I tried to scream but nothing came out, I tried to struggle but nothing worked, I wanted to shut down and faint but my mind refused to obey me.
Another set of boney hands grabbed me and threw me to the floor, grabbing all sides of my body and covering my mouth before I could make a sound. Faces surrounded me at every angle, all grinning evilly at me with broken teeth, behind them the walls came into view, the ground being up from their struggle. I let out a covered cry as I realized my fate. Those creatures were the victims of the walls that closed in on them in the valley of the setting sun and I was just another unfortunate victim who set foot in this place.
A low whimper escaped from my mouth as I tried once again to break free from the icy cold grip of the creatures, but their grip was too strong and at this point it was too late to break free. I cried in terror and hopelessness as I watched helplessly as the walls closed in on me, crushing another victim.
