No AI, No AI translated by Eduard Wagner
Events happen every day that can be seen from a different perspective. Here I try to document such views. Whether they can agree or not is up to their point of view. It may be that you don't exactly agree with that, but there are perhaps problems that would be easier to solve than just using armed force. Our planet would benefit from a different perspective on so many events. That's why I decided to see some events in society, politics and the climate from a different perspective.

Foreword
Far be it from me to attack or judge anyone here. Rather, it is my view of things, as I interpret it below. It may well be that one or the other thinks that this is a radical view of things. But sometimes it seems to me that you bury your head in the sand. Not reacting will resolve itself. I think this thread runs through the whole of the Scriptures. As I said, this is not paternalism of anyone, but my opinion on various things at home and abroad.

Series of earthquakes in Japan
It may well be that Japan is protected against earthquakes. But such earthquakes, as well as other disasters, will become even more frequent in the new year. Now, however, this country is also littered with nuclear facilities that may have held up until now, but does this also apply to the future? One could almost assume that such quakes are linked to climate change, but very little has been done about them in the past year. How long do you have to watch until something serious starts moving? Apparently, there will have to be more disasters before society and politics react. Could it be that we want to leave behind a broken planet for future generations?
Middle East conflict and Ukraine war
What more crises do we need? In Central Africa, there is a struggle for power in various states, and in China there is always talk of Taiwan being incorporated into the People's Republic. Furthermore, it can be seen in the media that the attacks are intensifying in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon as well as in Ukraine. For example, a high-ranking Hamas figure is being executed on neighboring territory, and Ukraine is reporting enormous attacks on major cities. Only if you look at this closely, there are always individuals who have to satisfy their lust for power and that by force of arms. It may well be that if there were no Putin or a Netanyahu, a new ruler would surely follow. Whether he will then continue to follow the efforts of his predecessors is probably not to be answered. In fact, there is currently almost no continent where war is not being waged. Is this in the interest of the population, which has to suffer such power aspirations of individual persons? As we have seen time and time again, these people live their lives according to their lives as leaders. It should be possible to meet with various conflicts on the basis of discussion. The destitute population in the war zones just wants to live and in peace. If solutions are not finally found, the whole thing could end in a world war and surely no one wants that.
Radetzky March and the Wars
Every year at the beginning of the year, the New Year's Concert is celebrated for years and decades and the "Radetzky March" is given as a finale. It may be the case that the name of a commander-in-chief and soldier who crushed the Italian independence efforts in 1848 for the time being served as the namesake. Only this New Year's concert will be taken over and broadcast in 100 countries. It may be that the namesake was not exactly peaceful, but this is not about paying homage to a war, but about Austria's reputation in the world. In other words, this march may use a name that is said to have caused a war, but this is about the tradition of Austria, otherwise some countries would already withdraw from the broadcast of the concert. This New Year's Concert is part of Austria's culture, which is certainly not warlike and should also herald the beginning of the new year in the future. It would be in the interest of the Austrians, because they think very much of this concert
Trump in the primaries on January 15 after all?
As was to be expected, this former president of the United States has once again challenged the decision of the courts in individual states. In the U.S., the primaries and the actual presidential election are held at the state level according to their respective laws and regulations. Therefore, they decide who is allowed to participate and how the voting takes place. But since the Supreme Court, America's highest court, has been filled with his followers in the past, one could almost predict their decision. In Colorado and Maine, Trump is specifically accused of insurrection under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment in connection with the storming of the Capitol by his supporters on January 6, 2021. As a result, he would no longer be allowed to hold U.S. office. It will only be interesting if he prevails in the primaries, as the sovereign sees fit. Will there be a president in the coming year 2025 who will take on the legislation and influence it in his favor? It has always been assumed that this state would be the largest democracy in the world, and now? Is this person turning away from democracy or is it still an option for this country?
Holy war between Sunnis and Shiites
There is a bomb attack in Iran this week and one wonders what the purpose of this attack was. Almost 100 people were killed and this action is still on its own flags. The IS (Islamic State), which claimed responsibility for this attack, is also proud to have carried it out. As a Central European, such an act is difficult to follow, especially since a lot of innocent people lost their lives. There is a bomb attack in the name of "Allah" and one thinks that this is in the sense of Islam. But it is also the case that in Christianity one should not get very upset, because as history has shown us, the Christians were no different in the Crusades. In the Christian faith, for example, it says "Thou shalt not kill". Apparently, Islam is still a long way from justifying such an approach. It is only with such deeds that there is hardly any peace or a basis for discussion. Rather, such actions only fuel hatred between the individual Islamic tendencies at the expense of the population. It's probably the same as in politics. A person expresses radical views and citizens follow his rhetoric without giving much thought to whether these statements are also true.
War Games and World War
On Friday morning, dictatorial North Korea fired more than 200 projectiles into the sea near the disputed maritime border with South Korea. According to the Ministry of Defense, South Korea responded with firing exercises in which live ammunition was used. This is certainly not the first time that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has provoked the international community. Again and again, the question arises as to how such heads of state come to the knowledge to produce and, above all, test such weapons. Surely the great powers are involved, and in return they condemn such actions by North Korea. But now there are enough crises as well as crises in the world and it is always the same scenario. Arms-producing countries provide such leaders with the knowledge as well as the material, of course for good money, and such rulers must also show the world that they are ready to use this arsenal of weapons. But as long as there are great powers that on the one hand make private weapons easy and on the other hand the arms industry is forced, such rulers will make use of it again and again. Unfortunately, the thinking of individual presidents only insists on maintaining power and the resulting strength. It can't be that only power and money count today. There are more important things, such as global warming. If this problem is not addressed, such rulers can no longer play war and our planet would be extremely dedicated to destruction.
I need a representative. So God Created Trump
How far does this person go? He incites the population to bring back his alleged election victory in January 2021, which then famously ended in a major storming of the Capitol, and now he is also bringing God into the election campaign. It may be that this was just a small misstep on his part, but he also makes fun of the current president of the United States in his speeches. If you also analyze his rhetoric, it is astonishing how much he deals with socio-political things, such as the American citizen and immigration. Since he was already president of the United States, he had already tried to influence the legislation in his favor and will try again if he wins the elections. One could almost assume that he doesn't care about the American citizen and is only trying to demonstrate his power. Whether such tendencies are in the interests of democracy as well as in the interests of the American citizen is another matter. Especially now, when there are crises and wars everywhere, the world's largest democracy needs a president with more integrity who does not only think about his own well-being. It will only be interesting to see how the deletion of his name on the primary ballot continues. To date, it has been decided in individual states not to name him on the "ballot", against which he has of course appealed.
MEPs in Poland and their "immunity"
Police in Poland have arrested two convicted members of parliament from the ousted national-conservative ruling party PiS. Both politicians were sentenced to two years in prison by a Warsaw district court in December for abuse of office and were due to begin their sentences. One could almost think that the case law also works for this EU member. But has it always been like that in this state? In recent years, when the ruling PiS party was still in power, the laws had also been changed in favour of those in power. After the elections in autumn 2023, the government delayed the handover of office, because the president also counted himself as part of the ruling PiS party. Perhaps this country is now back on the path of a free democracy and an uninfluenced judiciary. This would also be beneficial for the CDU/CSU, because in the past, the ruling PiS party had repeatedly blocked and thus delayed decisions. It may well be that one looks first at one's own population, but there is also the EU, which should also offer a parole to the great powers.
National conservative PiS wants to protest against Poland's government
According to the party, up to 40,000 people are expected to attend the "protest of free Poles" in front of the parliament in Warsaw. It is quite remarkable how far a member of the European Union has gone with democracy in this country. As we have already seen and heard in the largest democracy on the planet, it may come to the storming of parliament. The national conservative PiS has changed the legislation to its liking for over 8 years and now they do not want to recognize the vote of the sovereign by wanting to take to the streets for two high-ranking politicians. It's just that these two were convicted of abuse of office years ago. However, Poland's Supreme Court has now confirmed these verdicts and both have to serve a prison sentence. Fleeing to their president, who is assigned to the same party, did not help either. Apparently, the jurisprudence in this state should work. Whether such procedures also apply to America, where on the one hand there is a discussion against the former president and with removal from the voters' list, is probably extremely questionable. There, Trump has already chosen the people on the highest court in such a way that they will agree with him. Don't such people think of the individual citizen?
Accusation of genocide
South Africa is filing a complaint with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague. There are many things that could be criticized about Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip – disproportionate use of force, lack of consideration for the lives of civilians, inadequate care for refugees. It is only necessary to keep in mind. That the whole thing has not existed since October 2023, but rather for decades. On the part of Israel, the settlement policy was pushed so hard that hardly any consideration was given to the civilian population in this country. If this scenario results in an attack by the Palestinians, it is not surprising. It is true, the mass murder of Hamas last year cannot be justified by anything with 1200 deaths, only in the attacked Gaza Strip there are already over 20000 deaths to be lamented and this affects not only soldiers, but much more the civilian population. If South Africa feels compelled to file a lawsuit, one can only agree to this process. Of course, it is not foreseeable when a decision will be made. But perhaps it will lead to a ceasefire and hopefully we will soon return to the negotiating table. After years and decades, it should be possible to arrive at a two-state solution. It would be in the interest of the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip now, before a conflagration breaks out in this region, which would certainly not be limited to this area.
Iran and Nuclear Weapons
For years, the regime in Iran has been leading the world ahead of it by repeatedly working on nuclear programs. The IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) allows the review and then withdraws it. But nuclear weapons are likely to be researched and experimented with in secret in order to show power. For example, Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen are supported with money and weapons that are not exactly conducive to this region. Iran is the largest and most dangerous terrorist sponsor in the world. However, this is not just about sponsoring terrorist actions, but much more about the trouble spot in this area. If there were to be further provocation from both sides, the situation could get out of hand and not only the Gaza Strip would be affected, but much more. As in North Korea, the question arises from whom the know-how is obtained to be able to produce such weapons. One can assume that the great powers are the suppliers. It is only interesting that then such powers feel compelled to launch attacks on facilities of the "terrorists" and bomb them. If this knowledge and material were no longer made available to such states, they would also have to scale back their activities. But the arms industry will certainly have something against that, because there is apparently a lot of money to be made with such production.
Attack on merchant ships in the Suez Canal
According to the International Chamber of Shipping, around twelve percent of world trade is carried out on this route. But there are also neighbouring states that attack and fire on merchant and container ships with their Islamic groups. In order to avoid such shelling, these same ships circumnavigate the African continent, which is associated with enormous costs. It's not exactly about a few people being killed, it's about sabotaging the supply chains. This starts with longer delivery times for the goods that are loaded and of course ends with the consumer, who has to pay much more for it. Now, however, there is already high inflation in many countries and this is probably fueled by such actions of the rebels. However, such terrorist groups are probably not aware that they are shooting themselves in the foot with such actions. If you influence the delivery times as well as the prices with attacks on such ships, then these terrorists also have to pay the price for it. It is doubtful whether the Houthi rebels are aware of this fact.
Former EU Vice-President Eva Kaili and power
Not only was this president suspected of corruption, but she tried to request her immunity to be waived, but this was rejected. Now one should be able to assume that this woman is not exactly starving and yet the princely salary is still too little. Apparently, such politicians are also paid to stir up sentiment for certain countries. If the citizens of the Union are called to the ballot box this spring, one could imagine that the citizens in the member states would not approve of it. One could almost assume that this would cause an influx to the left and right fringes. The individual EU citizen wants to achieve with his vote that such an elected official also represents him and not that this politician only looks at his own pocket.
Rhetoric and Armed Conflicts
A former president of the world's largest democracy is influencing the electorate with populist and radical statements and thinks he can still get into the election campaign that will take place in the autumn. It's just that, and this can also be seen in Europe, such slogans do not offer solutions. Now, however, is the time for them to be articulated and, above all, for them to be implemented. In addition to the already existing conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, there are likely to be new trouble spots, such as Taiwan and Iran. If you also hear from a domestic politician that you want to create a list called "wanted list", then this is very questionable. The content of such a proposal should include names that name politicians or representatives who are to be voted out of office "democratically". One could almost think that such projects are reminiscent of a time that we had already experienced decades ago. It was only at that time that such slogans and plans led to a world war. Do you want to provoke this with such statements? But yes, America exemplifies to us how one can also achieve the highest offices in the state with such statements. But if Trump wins, what will become of this greatest democracy? However, since such efforts are often imported in Europe, such a project should be rejected, otherwise this form of government would then be provided with an expiry date.
Democracy still works
Whether or not you support the demonstrations in Germany against a shift to the right is up to you. But one can also assume that some politicians and rulers provoke such events. Statements are formulated, such as vermin or wanted lists for various people and more. It is only interesting that such or similar sayings were formulated decades ago and then it ended in a world war. However, as a society, we have probably learned something new and are defending ourselves against such tendencies with demonstrations. It is to be hoped that such events can make a difference. That's right, in a democracy there is freedom of expression, but it should also be above the belt. It should not denigrate citizens who do not owe it anything for the rest of their lives. But yes, from our rulers come only announcements and hardly any proposals for solutions that affect the individual citizen. If there were solutions to the current crisis from the established parties, the tendency towards the fringes of the political spectrum would not be so great.
Can this bloodlust be stopped?
If the approval of the war in the Middle East is accepted, then something should finally get moving. Thus, not only America is putting pressure on Israel, but also the European Union is initiating a rethink as far as the pressure on this state is concerned. It's just that the U.S., for example, is thinking about billions more in support but is also making demands. As in recent years and decades, it is about discussing a two-state solution, which is categorically rejected by the head of this country. Just to suspend or even end this conflict, there will be no way around it. Only there, as always, is it a matter of promoting the arms industry, which must be protected in many countries. That Israel is not exactly eager to engage in such a discussion has already been seen and heard in recent decades. However, this is not exactly about fallen soldiers or "terrorists", but much more about the suffering of the civilian population. So if you add billions more, this money will also be found in the procurement of weapons. A rethink should begin in the international community in order to put an end to this bloodlust, otherwise this armed conflict could soon be unfinishable. This is not just about Hamas, which, according to the Israeli prime minister, they want to destroy, but about far more radical groups in this region. They could then declare their solidarity with Hamas and then you would have the feared conflagration in this area.
Will Sweden now become a NATO member or not?
When Finland and Sweden announced their accession to the North Atlantic Defence Alliance in the spring of last year, Finland did so very quickly, as early as April. The situation was different with Sweden. The condition was set that action be taken against Koran burnings and similar actions hostile to Islam. NATO members Hungary and Turkey vetoed the proposal. Now, however, Sweden's accession has been ratified in the Turkish parliament. However, it is always the case that both Hungary and Turkey more or less blackmail you, and thus delay such requests. But since there are also positive signs from Hungary as to this entry, it can be assumed that Sweden can also join this defensive alliance. In the current world situation, this is probably also necessary when 32 states can defend themselves against aggressors.
Church and State
It is always interesting to see Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, a former KGB agent, Putin follower and at the same time ultra-conservative and ultra-rich war supporter, speaking out in Russia's warfare. His statement this time that it is very important that our country is able to lead the resistance against – I say an incredible word now – the Antichrist. On the one hand, this is an insult to Christianity in general, and on the other hand, there should certainly be no interference on his part in the war. Perhaps one still thinks of times that have long since passed, only such statements are dangerous to the citizen. But if one considers how such a person has come to be the epidermen of an Orthodox Church, such statements were to be expected. The difference with Christ, however, is that the church is left where it should be. However, it is probably undisputed that in our past there have always been links between state and religion. Only our faith at least adheres to the principle: Thou shalt not kill and. It is questionable whether this will ever reach the minds of such patriarchs.
Is the shift to the right on the verge of extinction?
In Poland, for example, the right-wing conservative party was voted out of office and a centre-left government took office. But since the former PIS government filled almost all high-ranking positions with followers, the new government has its difficulties in refilling them. Among other things, work is being done on the reformulation of the existing abortion law. In the FRG, tens of thousands are taking to the streets to demonstrate against a shift to the right, and one can already think that the displeasure about statements and actions on the part of the right is being articulated. But if you then also look at America, how you put your trust in a person, you could almost assume that there will soon be a different approach to politics and the rule of law there as well. Because it is quite astonishing how a former president wants to stand for re-election when he is accused of so many offenses. It will certainly be interesting in this state at the beginning of November when this person stands for re-election. It is only remarkable that there was a lesson from history as far as the omens of the Second World War are concerned. Nowadays, among other things, people take to the streets to demonstrate against such right-wing extremist tendencies.
More grotesques about ex-presidents
What this man offers the public in terms of antics can hardly be surpassed. He is convicted in New York and then he contempts the court. Former U.S. President Donald Trump is to pay writer E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million for public statements he used to denigrate Carroll in 2019 and deny her rape allegations. Now this is not only the only lawsuit that has already been brought against him, but this is just a continuation of a series of accusations that have been and are being formulated against him. Of course, the presumption of innocence also applies to him. However, since this is not an average citizen of a country, it is very worrying how he deals with democracy and the rule of law. Anyone else without a popular name would probably already be convicted and serve his sentence. But since such amounts seem to have little meaning for him, he also shows off the judiciary by leaving the courtroom during the reading of the plea.
And once again Viktor Orbán
The fact that he is once again trying to block decisions in the EU is nothing new. This is about 50 billion euros in aid for Ukraine and that over years. Now, however, this ruler is standing in the way of this, probably in order to get around 20 billion in funds for his own country. It is also a fact that both Ukraine and Hungary need such funds. However, the agreement with its 26 partners in the Union should also be the same as far as such transfers of funds are concerned. After all, what is the consequence of such a blockade. For example, the attacked country would no longer be able to meet its obligations, such as pension payments and many other payments. Thus, this state would be more or less bankrupt and the aggressor named Putin would have free rein to annex Ukraine. But since the Russian president can hardly be trusted, this scenario should be avoided. Through such stops of support, this aggressor sees itself moved to attack other states, and that cannot be in Viktor Orbán's sun, even if he apparently needs the frozen funds of 20 billion. Hungary is also not geographically very far away from Russia. Whether his "friendship" with Putin will help him remains to be seen.
