Para Wars #5:Sublimity

Blitzkrieg

Jon lead the charge through the massive iron gates before the tower. Before them the landscape was barren and ominous. Odd structures met their gazes as they charged forth. They had crippled the shield barrier now it was time to crush the beacons that Yami had alerted him to before their departure. Jon sensed an incoming mana surge and the Eye of Terror materialized before them once more glaring balefully.

“Gods of War, destroy them all!” Constantine’s voice boomed from the eye.

Jon halted raising an arm his sortie halting behind him. A rmble hit the air as the ground beneath them started shaking. Out of the tower thousands of armored warriors emerged wielding gigantic serrated broadswords. Jonathin looked over the forces charging them. “I’m not sensing any mana something’s wrong.” Trance said. “They aren’t giving off any reading because they are undead.” Jon said.

“Knights, you may want to go Full Amah. Daionn armor up.” Jonathin said.

Each knight released their mana and their partners did as commanded. “Commanders, on my mark.” “Jonathin awaited the enemy at the front line with Genko and Lotus. “Lotus, if you have Spirit Armor now would be a great time to activate it.” Genko advised her. “Spirit Armor?” Lotus said her large green eyes wide with wonder. Damn the House of Taarn.” Genko said eyes flashing white hot. The Ku swarmed them as Jon drew Silver Mary with a glint of silver. Genko holding his Tomahawk and Katana at the ready.

Each armored follower of Taarn towered at eight foot tall with full crimson plate armor. “Attack!” Jonathin roared striding forward into the enemy lines followed by Genko, Lotus and two gigantic Techwolves one with cobalt blue fur and the other with grey fur both with glowing yellow eyes that watched his flanks as they emerged from his armlet.

Prof. Chaos, Prof. Stroheim, Lysandra, Natalie, and The Ghost Council watched on the large floating crystal before them. “He’s gathering armies from The Doomlands so soon, how does he have enough mana to form a rift already?” Miyagi said her red eyes blazing. “A lot of high mana in Puce.” Yami said eyes glued to the crystal. “So that’s why Puce has become a hotbed for Preternatural activity.” Prof. Chaos said. “Exactly.” she replied.

“The Ku are S rank warriors, just under Warlord level.” Rydarr said stroking his beard. “The entire army?!” Miyaghi said. “Yes.” Yami said calmly.

Jon and Genko sliced through the oncoming horde of armored enemies cutting a swath towards the tower. “Your highness, we can take things from here.” Msgt Turner said as he and his partner Mageddon unloaded into the approaching enemy. Jon stopped looking at the knights. “Trust us!” Penni shouted shoving several Ku off of her and slashing them apart with one circular swipe. “I need you to protect Lotus.” Jon said. “No problem, now go handle Constantine.” she said leaping and kicking another Ku across the face plate sending them flying. Jon turned to his Techwolves: “Anchor the Knights, we’ll be back.” Jon said. Jon and Genko charged in through the front door and suddenly it locked and glowing red chains barred it closed. Jon and Genko sprinted up the spiraling staircase, nothing would stop them from defeating Constantine.

Bellicose

Bellicose

At the foot of the tower Penni, Miako, Kayla, and Geena watched as the doors closed and chained. “Let’s clear these grunts out!” Penni shouted. Pink fog surrounded Penni and Miako as Penni raised her Kazen. The mist crystalized then shattered showering the enemy with thousands of spiky shards. Lines of Ku were halted or killed sending them retreating backwards. Miako rolled forward becoming a buzz saw shearing through the enemy ranks. Msgt. Turner unloaded with his Shi Howitzurr.

Roda summoned his Shi Anyweapon in staff form. “Grand Master Transmorph.” he said a wave of green mana surging around him. Roda’s Shi transformed into a gigantic guardian Roda and Skorch sat in the cockpit behind it’s eyes. The guardian came to life it’s eyes blazing bright yellow.

Inside the tower Jon and Genko engaged the troops and remaining Ku guarding the staircase. Constantine watched from atop the tower with his partner Tiris surrounding them were the Knights final test. Cnstantine’s guard the most dangerous and loyal of his charges. The young king was on his way up the tower, his army would be crushed. Then he would fall as well. Checkmate. Constantine gave the signal and his minions flew over the edge of the tower toward the foot. It was time for the House of Taarn to reign vengeance down upon it’s enemies.

Eyes of Pain

Eyes of Pain

Jonathin winced as everything around them darkened clouding densely. He took deep breaths using his senses like his sensei had taught him. He was a skilled shinobi, easily Koge level. Nothing however would prepare him for the training he had received from Yami. His hands at one point had been so blistered and covered in mana burns he couldn’t even lift Larion.

It was the most brutal assault on his body ever, but he wouldn’t change it for the world. Through Yami he had learned about his mother as a warrior and a woman. For so long he’d felt out of place in Terra Firma, but in Elteria he was the king. He had his sister and dad but his blood was Kevin and Bishop. Something had always been off for him. He’d finally found who he was. For him besides his complete love for her the reason Syren’s death had been so terrible was because she too was out of place in a dark world.

Neither of them had been looking for love or absolution, they had just found it in each other’s embrace. If it had not been for the insane circumstances they would not have met at all. Mordo wanted the same thing as Constantine to rule both dimensions. Jonathin’s mother had given up her place in Elysian to fight evil on the ground and never looked back, now her son was poised to carry on her legacy.
