The streets of New York City were busy as usual even though the sun had down and would usually be filled with few people, not a lot. In fact, the city at night seemed far more alive then in the day which was odd as life usually slowed down when it got dark. People were rushing up and down the streets as they rushed to get to their late night jobs. Cars were almost rushing on the roads at the speed of light as they went for work or home. Among the cars and busses, a red Hatchback that appeared to be covered in sports stickers mainly basketball, was moving slowly but surely down the road having gotten stuck in a bad rush hour.
Inside the car were two teenage boys both dressed comfortably in casual hoodies and jeans, both riding upfront as they were the only passengers in the car. Behind them rested a large red bag full of clothes and other items from a game that was covered in basketball stickers much like the car, suggesting that these two teenagers were into sports but basketball seemed to be the most liked sport and were on their home from a satisfying yet tough basketball game. Finally hanging from the top mirror of the car hung a photo of the two boys all dressed in their basketball uniforms behind a basketball net with an underneath caption: ‘Daniel and Charlie Anderson, two stars of the game.’
The older brother named Charlie, sat at the wheel of his car and focused his emerald green eyes on the crowded streets so he didn’t accidentally make a wrong turn and crash into another car, that would be a bad move on his part. He was nineteen years old with a good build perfect for an athletic type like him, fair skin, green eyes that shined like a bright emerald and dark hair that was almost hard to tell if it was brown or black.
The younger brother named Daniel, who sat in the passenger seat beside his older brother Charlie, boredly stared out the side window as he watched the city go by in a slow blur. Daniel looked a lot like his brother in appearance minus the fact that his hair was more brown than the unrecognizable hair color his brother had. The boy was dressed quite comfortably in a set of black jeans and black hoodie like his older brother, however he squirmed in his seat as he was finally getting antsy from being in the car for too long, Charlie took notice of this.
"What’s up?" Charlie asked his younger sibling, pulling one hand off the steering wheel and settling it on Daniel's shoulder. "I'm bored!" Daniel exclaimed loudly, slamming both his hands on the car's armrests, Charlie flinched a bit as he was startled but calmed down and offered his sibling a kind but weak smile. "I can see that," he responded, turning his gaze back to the road before steering to the right to avoid a red truck nearly heading in a different direction. "But things take time, the traffic here is going at a crawl and as much as I don’t want to wait, we’ll have to. But after we get off the city streets, we’ll be on the road to our place and we’ll be home before you know it.”
"What is up with this traffic?" Daniel demanded angrily, almost ignoring what his older brother had just said, ushering to the rushing cars moving almost as fast as Sonic the hedgehog on certain roads while others seemed to have slowed to a crawl. "It's practically chaos out here. You could probably crash your own car in literally one second if you’re not careful." Charlie sighed heavily as he shot a glance at his younger brother then back at the insane and wild streets of the chaotic hell city. "Yes I see it and to be honest, I'm not sure," Charlie replied, staring long and hard at the blur of cars. "But it's probably because of the few closed off roads within the city, then the city suddenly set up a curfew warning us to get home before 9:00pm. I’m not sure what happened to the roads or why the curfew was set up, maybe it had to do with some burgries or something, but all I know is we’re in a sticky situation."
