Preface

In the days when I am finishing this research, i.e. 7 and 8 April 2020 in Italy we have a guinness of record of people death for Covid19 in the world. In my writing, I will not give numerical data besides this introductory one that chronologically defines the moment, at this point of the crisis the thesis, I want to expose is linked above all to another factor that is fundamental, beyond the numbers that are in the daily chronicle, is a globally known danger, but in order to change it, efforts are needed that nobody is apparently ready for, it is the environmental emergency that sees pollution as a key factor in the spread of even viral diseases.

I will mention facts and names notoriously known in Italy, little known outside the borders of the peninsula, but for the Italian people they are in common use.

My research contains objective findings, extracts from material and interviews or public articles of experts in specific subjects that interest the topic and that serve to formulate the thesis that I want to expose, which I think and hope will soon speak about in many, and finally contains my personal opinions that I express as a free citizen but that are also of common knowledge, said by many before me but that repeating is useful, we must not forget but fight for our rights, especially for the right to health, the right to live in a clean country, the right to know what happens to our land and finally the duty to preserve the environment. I recommend to those who want to deepen to read the material in the references in the text and at the end of the book, they are very important documents to understand the problem.

My name is Matteo and I was born in 1980 just like so many of my peers of the same name, I'm one of many and like the others I look for my own space to be myself. Since I was a child I was attracted by reading imagining myself as a writer, then I fell in love with the computer when it fell on my generation, distorting everything, and I chose to train to work with that tool becoming an expert in graphics, advertising, marketing, packaging, and design. But I have never given up the passion for reading which I have given vent to throughout my life trying to study topics that have always fascinated me and moved my interest such as history, ecology, Turkey, and geography with all its phenomena.
