INTRODUCTION
The wonders of prayer are for every believer to experience and enjoy the blessings that come with it. Often, people give up in the place of prayer simply because they have not acquired the skills that will enable them to travail and prevail therein, and this requires knowledge and discipline.
The practice of prayer is designed by God to build up the hearts and faith of believers. It is not something that should be done once in a blue moon or when the situation is getting out of hand. Anyone who only prays in times of trials and challenges will only see and approach prayer from the perspective of a defensive fighter rather than an offensive warrior who takes the battle to the camp of the enemies.
It is no doubt that the major force to contend with when it comes to prevailing in prayer is ignorance. If we all possessed adequate knowledge about the perfect will of God for our lives and understood what He wants us to do each day, it would enable us to depend on Him to knowing the right prayers to pray and get results.
There is nothing that makes a believer want to pray more than when he gets answers to his prayers. But when the answers are delayed or not manifest as expected, it will make the heart grow weak, faint, and weary. This is the main reason many are very discouraged about developing the attitude of consistency in the place of prayer.
The Lord is therefore looking for believers who will rise to the tide and take the battle to the camp of the enemies no matter how many they might be. The prayer warriors whom the Lord is
raising in this end time are those who will not take no for any answer! It is either the enemy surrenders, breaks, or dies because when the ultimate power collides with an inferior one, the enemy will have no option but to pack his loads and take off!
There is a need to raise the intensity of our prayers seven times stronger and more forceful than it is now. Evil and all manner of occurrences are on the rise and if we don't ask the Lord to quicken us to call upon His Name in a more fervent way that will provoke an immediate response from heaven, it will look as though nothing is happening.
This book does not only teach and enlighten you about the importance of prayer, but it also gives some practical know-how about how to engage in spiritual warfare and expect answers to your prayers, thus making the act of praying more engaging
and interesting because there are results to show for the labors in the place of prayer.
I urge you to open your mind to the teachings in this book and trust the Lord for the wisdom to build your prayer life that will enable you to command quick responses from the Throne of Grace into your prayer altar. Therefore, make up your mind to respond to the responsibilities that will bring down the glory of the Lord into your prayer life like never before.
It is my earnest prayer for you that as you read, your eyes of understanding shall be enlightened to see the true revelation of God for building and boosting your prayer life, and may the Lord cause the rivers of the Living Waters to resonate on the inside of you for a new touch of His Power, Presence, and fire, in the Name of Jesus. WHAT IS PRAYER?
Prayer is a sacred communication between humans and God. It is a way of expressing our thoughts and telling God about our desires, plans, goals, aspirations and expecting a feedback from Him. A believer's prayer life is like what oxygen is to human being. Thus, no man can actually succeed in the things of God and thrive in life generally without living a prayerful life.
Thus, living a life of prayer brings both physical and spiritual blessings to us. A believer who knows what he needs and how to pray by employing the ministry of the Holy Spirit will not grow
weary nor turn away from the face of challenges because he knows what to do. I have gleaned a lot of experiences about prayer as a minister of the Gospel of Christ.
More so, the life of God's servant, Dr. Daniel Olukoya has taught me a lot of things about prayer and spiritual warfare generally. I must admit here that it pays when you develop your prayer life. One may struggle in the process at the initial stage but as you continue daily, soon the host of heaven will be attracted to your prayer altar, like in the exemplary case of Cornelius.
It is very imperative to have a basic understanding of prayer and how to earnestly engage in it. When you know the kind of prayer to pray in every situation you find yourself in, you will not have to bother about anything. The enemies will be very afraid of you because they know that you are more self-aware and spiritually intelligent than them.
Prayer is all multifaceted in every way to a believer who knows how to explore it advantageously. The physical and spiritual
benefits of prayers are evident in the Bible for us to learn from and develop ourselves for the plans and purposes of God Almighty. One of the strategic ways of praying and getting results is to engage in daily and night prayer consistently. Unfortunately, many seem not to like the idea of praying at night.

Prayer is very important in a believer's life because it positions us to relate with God as our Heavenly Father and also get to know His perfect will for our lives and destinies. A believer who does not like prayer; will be losing out completely because the Word of God enjoins us to always pray without ceasing.
