According to the United States Government : From the year 1991 through the summer of 2004, Damion Hardy aka World was the alleged leader of a criminal enterprise known at that time as "CMB" The Cash Money Brothers, who were located in the Lafayette Gardens Housing Projects of Bedford Stuyvestant, Brooklyn.

Aaron Granton aka Ebay was an alleged member of CMB and accused of being one of the top enforcers in the CMB Crew. When the crack-cocaine epidemic took off in the 80's, Lafayette Gardens was a gold mine for the average up and coming neighborhood drug dealer.Back then, the younger guys who eventually go on and form CMB, performed as runners and hand to hand distributors under the direction of several small-time hustlers in the housing projects.

Then, in 1991 after CMB was formed under the leadership of Wise (Myron Hardy) and his younger brother World, CMB grabbed a hold of the Lafayettye Gardens Housing Projects and rained on their competition until they seized full control of the Lafayette Gardens Housing Projects, During their run Wise was most guys inspiration in the housing projects. Most guys wanted what he had, as well as his top spot in the CMB Crew. Wise loved his younger brother World, no matter the situation! But World couldn't control his urge and desire to overthrow his older brother and become the man himself!

LET THE STORY BEGIN :

Damion Hardy aka World and his older brother of three years Myron Hardy aka Wise, were the 2 youngest children of 6. They grew up in the early 80’s in Bedstuy, Brooklyn in the Lafayette Garden Housing Projects, better known as LG, in building #325 across the street from the 88th Precinct.

The early 80’s was a time in New York City when both Hip-Hop Music and Crack Cocaine were exploding and spreading out in the streets like wildfire. Most families in Lafayette Gardens and other NYC housing Projects were struggling to get buy. In Lafayette Gardens, Welfare was ringing off like crazy and Food Stamps were like gold, although most kids were ashamed to be seen trying to buy their penny candies in Eddie’s Game room on Dekalb Ave.

While most kids in Lafayette Gardens struggled to get by and had to attend Public School P.S. 270, World and Wise were fortunate and blessed to have a single mother of 6, who believed in her grind and who was willing to work, day and night to provide her children. So, World and Wise attended Catholic School – Queen of All Saints in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn. Which was a popular school that produced a few talents over the years, specifically The Notorious BIG aka Christopher Wallace! And across the street from that school, there was Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School who produced Mark Jackson out of Queens and sending him to St. John’s University where he went on to be a great NCAA Basketball player as well as making it to the NBA and getting drafted by the New York Knicks with the 18th pick in the 1987 NBA Draft.

Wise and World’s stay in Catholic School was short lived as they both transferred out to public school. Wise would eventually have a short stay at Washington Irving High School in Manhattan.

Mid-Town was on fire when Wise tried to attend public high school, and digging pockets led to Wise dropping out of high school. As for World, he transferred to JHS 117 with the rest of the kids from LG! It wasn’t even a week in public school when World began to play hooky and cut school with his friends Fatal and Lil Weez! Fatal and Lil Weez were the neighborhood car thieves.

Lil Weez was the most notorious in the hood with the cars, jeeps and dirt bikes! When they said “Art Imitates Life” they delivered the streets that message about the lifestyle of Lil Weez when they dropped the movie “New Jersey Drive” as well as when they created the character: Lil Donut on the HBO hit series “The Wire.”

That was all Lil Weez, just like the: Omar character from “The Wire”! In Bedstuy, Brooklyn they believed that character emulated the gangster of Light Skin Troy off N.A Rock. Crazy Troy is what they called him in LG when he was running with OG Punch and JR Hamilton in 87’/88’.

World, Fatal and Lil Weez were joy riding all over Brooklyn during school hours, pulling up to the playground in Jeeps, and on Motorcycles. As for Wise, he was in and out of Midtown with Big Un damn near every day! So, with Wise and World both attending public schools in the mid 80’s, they were both destined to drop out.

When Wise and World attended Queen of All Saints before transferring to public  school, they went to Catholic School with another set of brothers from LG. These two brothers were Puerto Rican (Rochelle and Michelle), and the oldest of the two would hang out with Wise after school in the projects.

The older brother was OUTSIDE with the digging pockets crew taking it in Midtown and he was shaking out on the basketball court in the parks around the projects. He had a name for himself around the projects, he was a Midtown digger, and he was taking it. He ended up doing a Juvenile Bid, that eventually led to a State Bid or two, while living in LG!

The older Puerto Rican brother’s (Rochelle) downfall in LG was SMOKING CRACK! He smoked crack at a time when most dudes who were getting money and or taking money in the mid 80’s partied with drugs like cocaine and crack, placing it in their weed when they smoked blunts. No real knock on him about that, he wasn’t the only one. But his escapades kept him in and out of jail until he slid to Connecticut with his younger brother! While in Connecticut with his younger brother, he fucked around and got booked as well as popped by some Brooklyn cats. And when the nigga got popped, he told on the dude who shot him!

The shooter sent word to the streets for the younger brother, because the younger brother was supposed to be about that life! Oh, was homie wrong! When the shooter contacted the younger brother, he pressed him to have his brother drop the charges and handle their business in the streets!

The younger brother handled the situation like a straight sucker! He told the shooter to deliver them $5,000 and they would drop all charges! So, the older brother got that shit stamped on his name, as the shooter sat on all his paperwork and exposed it to anyone who would listen!

As for the younger brother (Michelle), there was no comparison. The younger brother was quiet, some would say soft! He was shaky and nervous when the two brothers transferred to public school after living in LG for a minute. When the younger brother was in elementary school, he pretty much found his way through trying to play basketball because the sport was polarizing to the kids in the hood in the mid 80’s.

From the NCAA College Games (Particularly the BIG EAST TOURNAMENT that was pretty much created off the blood, sweat and hard work of Pearl Washington (Brownsville BK to SYRACUSE) and Patrick Ewing (Jamaica to GEORGETOWN). Pearl Washington was so amazing coming from Brownsville to SYRACUSE (83’-86’ before becoming the 13th pick in the first round of the NBA draft and going to the New Jersey Nets, the UNIVERSITY OF SYRACUSE was able to renovate and upgrade their 3-year-old Carrier Dome that was opened in 80!’

Trying to play basketball was the younger brother’s in, but he couldn’t play. He was trash on the basketball court, which usually led to the other kids in the projects either not picking him to play or just manhandling him on the court and taking the ball from him.

His other in was more productive, as he snuck up under the wing of Black Mel while they were in the same class in elementary school! Black Mel was cool as a cucumber. He wasn’t a loud dude always trying to be seen and heard, but he was on the scene with all the goons and criminals at that time.

Black Mel was from Bedstuy (Hancock between Bedford and Nostrand). Although he didn’t live in LG, Back Mel was OUTSIDE in LG! Black Mel also came up under some of the most notorious and legendary figures coming off Nostrand Ave: Red Bug and Ease, and Franklin Ave: Joe Cool and Wayne! So, Black Mel was a little different. And he was a cool dude with his own swag. Simply because Black Mel was OUTSIDE early, and he was on the block pitching before younger dudes in LG even thought about it! Which is exactly how the younger brother got his feet wet and learned about hustling! It was Black Mel that schooled him…!

The younger brother (Michelle) got to it, but he always ran into situations where the wolves was on his ass. One time the younger brother (Michelle) tried to make a move copping weight from some dudes off N.A Rock. The dudes he was dealing with lined him up, booked him and speared him his life. He came back to LG scared to death. He was literally shaking as he told the story to dudes how they booked him. Lucky for him at that time, the dude Crazy Troy off N.A Rock stepped up to help his ass!

Crazy Troy aka Light skin Troy was a straight GANGSTER in 88’. He was running with the Punch Crew in LG at that time, and his presence was ever so felt. He was the epitome of a crazy muthafuka with a gun! And everyone knew it, including the NYPD!

Crazy Troy told the younger brother to go with him down on N.A Rock to the infamous Game Room on Gates Ave. so he could holla at whoever pulled that heist. Of course, the younger brother (Michelle) was scared to death to go back down there, especially after they put guns to his head and he damn near pissed on himself! But he was more afraid to tell Crazy Troy NO!

So, he took his nervous ass down to Gates Ave. with Crazy Troy and Crazy Troy pulled up in his hood very own hood (N.A. Rock) on GO TIME, he pulled out his pistol and backed down the whole entire Game Room! He booked the whole Game Room as he gave dudes a speech about booking his little man. And Crazy Troy pulled off this heist, the younger brother stood there frozen. He was so shook, he didn’t help Crazy Troy at all. Crazy Troy had to hold his hammer and go through dude’s pockets by himself as this dude just stand there frozen watching it all go down.

That shit had the younger brother (Michelle) so shook, he decided to holla at Wise about going OT to Connecticut! Wise wasn’t on no hating shit, so Wise put him on to Connecticut with no problem! Until the younger Puerto Rican brother (Michelle) had a problem in Connecticut and Wise had to pull up and let it go!

The younger Puerto Rican brother (Michelle) always found himself in some bullshit. In 88/89 he found himself in another life-threatening situation when he was trying to hustle in Brooklyn. Once again, the dude got booked and came running home to dudes in LG.

This time he leaned on the OG Rashawn from Brownsville! Rashawn was running wild in LG at the time, as part of the Swells crew that came from Brownsville and shut LG down a year prior in 87’ and they took OGs Punch & JR to war 88’ summer! Rashawn fucked around and stepped up for the younger Puerto Rican brother (Michellle), and when shit hit the fan for Rashawn when he got pinched, there were a few bodies he was facing!

Somehow, in 89’ when the Puerto Rican brother (Michelle) was up north on a bid, he came back down to court to testify on behalf of Rashawn. Whatever happen in that court room, Rashawn was furious! So furious, he sent word to the hood (LG) : Tell Puerto Rican Michelle, when I catch that muthafuka, I’m gonna bust muthafuka’s asshole open! And everybody that knew Rashawn, knew he wasn’t playing!

The younger Puerto Rican brother (Michelle) should have known better to get caught up with Rashawn. Him and his older brother (Rochelle) already had their experiences with Rashawn, where Rashawn had to do them both dirty! In 88’ a dude in LG fucked around and put hands and feet on Puerto Rican Michelle. It was outside for everyone to see! Puerto Rican Michelle went to get Rochelle to holds him down after that ass whipping!
