“Sigh!” Benjamin, a little boy in year two is lying on the fresh made bed with the family dog Kenny and is moaning to himself. His mood is as dull as the rainy weather outside.
Benjamin thinks that it is not very easy to have three older brothers and three older sisters.
His siblings always decide themselves when they will make their bed fresh again but always tell Benjamin when to do it.
Kenny looks at Benjamin and immediately he also sighs. Benjamin gives him a nice smile, ruffles Kenny’s head and tells him:
“At least you understand me!”
Suddenly the door opens and Dan enters the bed room. Dan is one of Benjamin’s brothers and they share the room.
Dan notices Benjamin lying in bed with the dog and tells him:
“Benjamin, you know that mom does not like Kenny lying in our beds. Besides, hurry up now, daddy is already waiting in the car. Today our groups lesson will take place again.“
Like a cupid’s arrow Dan’s last sentence reaches into Benjamin’s feelings.
Benjamin really loves the time he has at the Christian scouts.
There he never feels that he is too small to do certain things. He never feels that he does not have as much power as his brothers and sisters and nobody keeps telling him what to do. After Benjamin has put on his groups clothes his mood has changed and he feels a lot better.
On the first day, Dad, who leads the club, wrote down the guiding principle of the Christian children and youth club for him.
