FOREWORD
‘People are designed for accomplishment, engineered for success and endowed with seeds of greatness' Zig Ziglar
I am privileged to know Chris Govender as my wise tutor, friend, and confidante for many years. I count it an honour to write this opening for his first book 'Destined for Greatness'. This work is both inspirational and motivational with pearls of accurate biblical wisdom dispensed generously across its pages. It is a treasure trove of timely practical counsel for every person who needs encouragement on their unique journey in God. This read also allows you to grow emotionally and spiritually and teaches you how to embrace 'the seeds of greatness' divinely deposited within. 'Destined for Greatness' also contains between its covers a message of perseverance and determination and gently moves you forward in your destiny. It also draws the reader in and allows for introspection and thought-provoking enquiry about one's own attitudes and life circumstances. The invitation to change paradigms is available in every compact chapter. You will read this book more than once as you unpack the heavenly greatness in you.

‘Rip The Page’
‘I wish I had never done that. If only that had never happened! I’d love to wipe that from my memory’
These are some of the agonizingly remorseful statements that are often emotionally uttered by those who wish that certain of their life’s experiences had never happened. It seems dreadfully unfair when the past continuously and unwelcomingly imposes itself into the serenity of the present, doesn’t it? It seems even more unfair and becomes painfully tragic when the past clouds one’s perception of the future. Wouldn’t you love to rip a few pages from your book, tear them to pieces and watch them blow away in the wind, never to be seen again? I think that we all would love to, but can it be done…?
Let me emphatically state that it can be done. Now, you must determine that it will be done. Your past will be redeemed. That which was once your worst nightmare will now produce powerfully influential principles on character building that would effectively rescue you and many others who have relinquished their lives to the misery of the past. Get ready to see your future outside of the tinted spectacles of the past. Now is the time for you to go ‘back to the future’ that was originally intended for your life. You are probably thinking that it is as not as simple as I am making it out to be because your life did not come with a built-in rewind button. Listen, it is okay if the motion picture cannot be edited! What stops you from creating a new movie that would make the old fade into irrelevant obscurity?
It is absolutely in order, to acknowledge that your past cannot be changed. The question that then demands an answer is:
‘What does one do with that which cannot be changed?’
How does one recover from one terrible decision that continues to annoyingly peek into the tranquillity of the present?
How do we remove a root of bitterness that further entrenches itself with each memory of the perpetrator?
