The idea for this book has lived in my head for more than nine years. In 2022, it finally came to light on Ibiza.
I could not have written the book without the love and support of my wife Jo and our girls Juliette, Sophie and Feline.

For a consistent form, the ex in this book is a woman.
But that might as well be a man.
They can be big assholes too. As a woman, you sometimes want to kill your ex-lover, ex-boyfriend, ex-girlfriend, ex-husband, ex-idiot.
And what about ending relationships with a non-binary.
Or a lbgt.
Or a human with a womb.
Or a menstruating man.
Or a woman with a penis and a man with breasts.
Today we must, above all, be inclusive of everyone.
There you go.

Relationships. Always difficult. We are all looking for the ideal partner. Sometimes you’re lucky. And sometimes you’re not. If you were just temporarily a horny couple, you will easily break up when love dries up. “Bye-bye, it was fun. I'll see you around.” “Yeah, cheers.” Instagram posts with hashtags #inlove and #forevermine are deleted and in case of an idiot, a lunatic or a jerk, you block the WhatsApp number.
If you have been in a relationship for a longer period of time and are now neatly married, then breaking up becomes more difficult. Separating in good harmony is always a lie to the outside world. After all, one of you two suggested the idea and then you/he/she/it is out on the street. If you have children together, it becomes even more difficult.
You are forced to remain 'friends' but it will never be really fun and friendly.
And what to do if you started the breakup and your ex freaks out? You get a diatribe with what an incredible bastard you are, that you're destroying someone's future and most importantly that it's all your fault! That you as a super egoist always only thinking about yourself and consciously destroying the life of your partner!
When that ugly side of your soon-to-be ex takes over, you'll see exactly why it's a good idea to say goodbye. You were never so sure you wanted to create a new future without her. Unfortunately, your ex is vengeful and determined to destroy your life completely.
These exes are the most dangerous because they have nothing left to lose. They spread lies in your circle of friends about domestic violence, sexual abuse, domination and child abuse. And that you have actually been impotent for years with a sad slug. It is often women who use their creativity and abuse position with the aim of demanding maximum alimony in court. And half of all your possessions. A welling tear and a broken voice in from of the judge have already plucked many men bald.
Your ex excels at lies, cheating, forgery, and doesn't even shy away from parental alienation. Keeping your kids away from you as blackmail is perhaps the worst thing anyone can do. Unfortunately, it happens too often.
You are, in all your goodness, at first surprised at so much aggression and false behaviour. You are looking for a solution, for the reasonableness between two adult people. But your ex goes on like a raging all-destroying whirlwind.
At some point, when you lie awake again in the middle of the night, you can’t hide from the same question that keeps popping up in your mind. The only thing you can do. The only solution. How do I kill my ex?
It's normal to have these dark thoughts when someone is trying to destroy everything you care about. This book understands those feelings and thinks along with you. You don't want a peaceful solution anymore. You counter-attack for all the misery inflicted, at all costs. You don't care anymore; you're done with it. It’s time to axe your ex!
Luckily, you have people around you who do love you and who have given you this booklet. It is full of practical tips regarding implementation. But also, why killing your ex might not be the smartest idea.
