CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION TO

PUBLIC SPEAKING

Everyone who is successful in the world has one thing in common. Speak safely in front of a large or small group. They use simple words that carry the message they want us to hear, understand and act. When you step forward in a typical person, you will feel that your tie or scarf is tighter, your breathing is difficult, and your hands start to tremble. It is when you think that our brain has stopped working.

Public speaking is a way of communicating an individual's point of view and self-expression with groups of known and unknown people, large and small, in order to achieve specific goals. Public speaking in business is an essential area of communication skills in leadership and management. However, speaking publicly is the critical skill for the daily activities and developmental activities of personal and social life. Public speaking naturally

comes to people after they have known private or public goals, clarified thoughts, understood the public interest and analyzed the position or situation responsibility themselves. Currently, the speaker's intentions can be negative or positive; the clarity of thinking can be positive; the public interest can be ignored in personal attention, and fool people and organizations. Public speaking can be a large or small target group, a particular class or a family reunion (Sharma, 2019).

Public speaking is one of four categories of human communication: dyadic speaking, small group, mass, and public speaking.

Dyadic communication takes place as a conversation between two people. Communication in small groups involves a small number of people who can meet and talk to each other directly.

Mass communication usually takes place between a broad audience of unknown people who are not with the speakers or who are part of a huge crowd where there is little or no dialogue between the speakers and the listener. When the speaker speaks in public, he delivers the message to the audience of those who make the statement for a specific purpose. Public speeches always include the speaker who has a reason to speak, the audience who pays attention to the speaker, and the message to achieve a specific purpose. Speakers talk to the audience with little interruption and are responsible for the words and ideas expressed (Berg., 1915).

CHAPTER 2: WHY PUBLIC SPEAKING

MAKE US NERVOUS?

On a low level, there are some simple answers to this question.

There are several reasons for the self-image. I think we are stupid or project our expertise onto others, which leaves debilitating inferiority. There are several reasons that may be relevant to your audience. We assume that they will judge us whatever they are in order to identify our greatest weakness.

There is no shortage of such semi-intuitive theories. However, others have made this a more profound and more scientific idea (Khan, 2019). An interesting approach comes from evolutionary psychology and appreciates it as a social animal to be part of a group. And it makes us uncomfortable to be chosen to be outside of this group. The feeling of being alone panics because the chances of survival when we are alone were significantly less than in the group. The social fear that arises when we are the centre of attention can change the way we look at our faces. In these situations, angry or unhappy faces are treated very quickly by the brain. So not only are we offended when we are selected, but our minds also start to work against us by making the crowd unhappy! Another factor, of course, is that people are generally afraid of what they don't know. Therefore, those who start speaking in front of the group regularly lose fear. They learned over time that there was no reason to be afraid - most of what they were so scared of never happened. They internalize the fact that everything is fine. Regardless of the psychological or neurological processes that underlie our fear of public speaking, we usually focus on the specifics that we have done. That is why we are discussing these particular fears here (Albright., 2015).
