The chosen one is the first of a series of novels in which the author represents a phase of his life. Starting from tracing real moments from his childhood and pre-adolescence, he adds fictional facts and events resulting from his psychotic episodes, of which he has been a victim for much of his life. In the book, always on the ridge between reality and hallucination, there is a series of characters and events that, although at first glance may seem real, lead us into the inner world of the main character Kurt Spurr, destined to be the chosen one of a modern, and almost despicable and reprehensible god.
His world is populated by bullies, gangs and friendly characters, evil people amongst how the world really works through god owning the world and calling the shots and really having powers. Kurt is trying to be the chosen one but he has to prove god and his family that he is worth being the chosen one to rule the galaxy. In order to become part of the contract world, Kurt suffers serious bullying from his entire school but let to know is years to come it is only going to get worse. He struggles on a daily basis as he has no one really to turn to with his problems, but he doesn’t know he is in a story and he has to complete it for him to be the most powerful person that has ever lived.
People are so jealous of Kurt because he is god’s grandson and can’t understand why he can’t die, as so many people have tried to kill him but don’t know what is in store for the rest of the world. In fact, he seems like a normal kid and the world doesn’t really believe Kurt will become that powerful as he was when he had powers. But the world has no clue that is going to happen, besides god and Curtis Jackson for the meantime, but this story is the craziest story that has ever happened. To prove his potential and succeed in obtaining the coveted title of chosen one, creating his own family that will run the world.
 
Kurt David Spurr is an Australian-born author who has always lived in the Sutherland shire Cronulla area, but who attended high school at Waverly College. As a child, he was part of the rugby union and played for various teams. Since primary school, he has always had a strong predilection for the study of the English language, and in high school he had become one of the best in his school. He studied very hard with teachers not believing the work that he was coming up with, as he was naturally smarter than the most teachers at such a young age.
All this has led him to try and improve his language skills even more, which he continues to do now, as he writes poetry and stories for fun, to save himself from partying too much. He tried rapping and many other sports and hobbies that have helped him along his journey, trying to find himself. He suffered from psychotic episodes, and this is basically the theme of his first novel, The chosen one. He came up with the novel through a series of events that happened in his life and that, because of his psychotic episodes, made him believe he was the main character of the novel. He has a passion for construction and is currently working in the construction industry as a builder that has finished carpentry trade, almost finished construction management degree and has some subjects left for his builder license. He woke up very early in the morning to write this book, and then went to work. He loves writing so much, it is a passion of mind and he has many stories in his mind that hopefully he can get out there. He’s always grown up on the beach and loves to party. He has a very good family and friends that have stood by his side through very hard times.

Chapter one: The life of Kurt Spurr

On October 10th 1993 a lady by the name of Grace Shore was due to have her baby boy. She was a young 21-year-old girl who had chosen to keep the baby. Her boyfriend at the time, Freddie Spurr, did not want to settle down with Grace and go on with the pregnancy. He still rushed and drove his girlfriend to the hospital to where she could conceive at 3am. It was a long process of agonizing pain for Grace as she almost died in the hospital that night. The birth went for seventy-two hours; Freddie’s appearance would be recognized as a dark Maori and, by the end of the birth, he had turned white watching his girlfriend in explicit pain screaming and feeling tortured. But, when the baby boy came out, they were happy.

When the baby was born, Grace’s mother told Freddie to go and have a break from the room. As he did his best mate Kurt Cobi called and asked him:

-What’s the boy’s name?

He told him he hadn’t chosen one yet and Kurt said:

-Go and be with your son.

So, Freddie walked off and a nurse came up to him an asked if he had chosen a name for the baby boy. He had a little think to himself and told the nurse:

-Yes, we would like to name him Kurt - after the name’s sake of his best friend.

So, he signed the papers and forged his girlfriend’s signature and there they had a baby boy named Kurt Spurr who was seven pounds thirteen. Grace said to Freddie:

-What should we name him?

And he said:

-I already named him Kurt after my best friend.

The relationship between the two, they were best friends: ride or die together. They had done big risk-taking jobs together and were one of the biggest contractors in Australia at the time. Their friendship was so close Freddie wouldn’t even give in to torture to give his best mate. He got ripped open from his wrist to his chest with a Stanley knife one day as gangs and bikies were looking for Kurt Cobi and Freddie would not give him up. They had just done a job and ran back to their hide out where only one can fit in behind the wall, so Freddie let Kurt go in as they wanted him more. They ripped Freddie to shreds going at his arm for a couple of hours with a knife leaving him the scar that gave him the name ‘Freddie stitches’, thus one thousand twenty-two stitches in his arm.

Usually at the hospitals babies are switched to not have their rightful parents in the real world but, if you’re in the contract world you can keep your own baby. The contract world consists of areas owned by great fighters with knives, that fight for territory and power; this is an evil world. Freddie Spurr owned the Sutherland shire, so anybody going missing or jobs going down he’d know about all of them with his permission. Freddie was a nice guy but if you got on his bad side, you were dead as he believed evil is stronger than good: when a man fears you, he will do anything you want him to do.

The contract world consists of areas that are owned by contractors and the head of the table decides what happens in such areas. There were dirty cops that knew about the contract world, and they all worked for contractors. During this time, there weren’t very many people that knew about the contract world as it was only for bad and ruthless people that wanted power and were selected by previous contractors in their time, it’s a vicious circle of power.

Freddie Spurr right fully owned a unit in Sutherland at the time, which he paid two hundred thousand dollars for, by his undercover job as a spray painter. He believed in hard work and doing some things legit. As he owned areas in the Sutherland shire, he could of just waltz in and taken any house that was in the area of the contract world, but he believed in hard work and to let people rightfully earn money the right way.

A very hard but fair man in a way. Kurt Spurr lived a good life with his parents. They loved him and gracefully cared for him. They tried to protect him from the contract world as it was a bad underworld and was viciously dangerous. When you’re in the contract world, you’re in it for life and there’s no escaping it. Most people hide behind big names for protection and a good way of life to live, so they don’t die. Freddie collected debts and had several men and women working for him. Women would usually be getting paid to fake fall in love with men, so they could study their secrets and see what peoples plans and goals were for different operations.

Kurt was a little bit naughty and caught onto the criminal world real fast, considering how young he was. When Kurt was almost two, his father broke his nose and they had to tell the hospital he hit his head on a desk. His uncle at that time was going to school and seeing other classes about how to hold knives and weapons in a fight, and he started catching on to think there was another world out there that he wanted to be a part of.

His uncle’s name was Jackson Shore, Grace’s youngest sibling as he had only started high school at De La Salle as a thirteen-year-old. Jackson would always come to the family and say to the family:

-I think there’s another world out there - as he was curious about it.

Freddie and Grace would always deny ever such things because this was a secret world where people got away with robbery, rape murders and anything bad. When Kurt started taking interest in what Jackson was saying he had already been in a couple of fights with four-year-olds and won easily. Kurt would always talk about how he’d take over the other world and Freddie would usually get angry. Freddie broke his nose again just for bringing it up one time. Jackson would always try to protect Kurt from Freddie, but he was no match every time and couldn’t do anything about it.

Jackson has an older brother that constantly bullied him. His name is Jo Shore, and he is very close to Grace. Jo also goes to De la Salle and plays rugby league for his school. Jo’s dad doesn’t agree with him playing football as he thinks it’s too much of a violent sport, but he plays it anyways.

Freddie wasn’t very close with his family as they lived in other states, but he was the boss of the family and could sign his dad’s cheques since he was twenty-two years old. He was so trusted by his parents. Freddie had a very hard life: first born in Auckland, New Zeland, he eventually moved to Papua New Guinea, where they walked the street with machetes and it was a very hard life. Freddie had to protect so many of his friends from Papua New Guinea as the kanakas were so ruthless, but they ended up having to leave their houses, excavators and many more things, otherwise they were going to get killed. This was Bougainville. Freddie kept in the secrets of what happened in Papua New Guinea, but he said it was crazy and you had no option to fight.

But Freddie became close with Grace’s family, as they took him in as their own, but he wasn’t one to ask for help and Grace’s father was the first man to ever kiss him Freddie and tell him that he loved him. It meant a lot to Freddie as he didn’t really know what love was, until he was with Grace and had a family of his own. Grace’s father, David Shore, was mainly Grace’s family: Maree, Jackson, Jo, Freddie, Kurt and David. She had other friends but she mainly looked after her family, driving her siblings to school and helping out her father David, as he worked all the time. Grace had a mother but she had just left David for another man and had been cheating on him. So, basically Grace and her family moved with their father David in Sydney, as that is where David’s work was. Grace didn’t forgive her mother and didn’t want to speak with her for a while. None of the kids wanted live with Grace’s mother, Laura, and Maree refused to live with her the most as she wanted to go where the money: that was one of the only thing that she cared about. David had just bought a big house in Glandore St. Cronulla, where he wanted all of the family to move into, including Freddie. Freddie and Grace had the downstairs area with Kurt, while Jackson and Jo lived upstairs with their father David. Grace also had a younger sister named Maree Shore. She was two years younger than Grace. She was becoming a schoolteacher and was into her arts and crafts.

Freddie and Grace had a big second birthday for Kurt and they had invited all of their friends and got a lot of friends for Kurt. The party had a jumping castle and Kurt was hanging with Jackson for the majority of the party. Jackson had secretly bought Kurt fighting weapons so he could undertake the underworld as they were still suspicious of it, but Freddie would still always deny it.

When Freddie started watching Kurt fight and get aggressive with other kids at his party, he decided to walk away from owning the area and just go straight. The more Kurt wanted it, the more Freddie would pull away and not want that life for his son. Jackson would go to school and try and find as much research on the contract world when he stole one of his mates’ notes from school about where to stab a man to not kill him, and Jackson knew he was getting close.

Jo would constantly beat up Jackson saying:

-You wouldn’t survive in that world anyway. Why are you looking for it?

Jackson was just curious and wanted to know the world for what it was. Kurt would always try and stick up for Jackson, but Jo would beat Kurt up too and Freddie would encourage it as they were after the contract world and Freddie wanted nothing of that life for his only son.

Jackson had a best friend that knew about the contract world, but Jackson was unaware of it. Jackson and his mate started dealing heroin for money when they got their heads in to deep, when they had to start taking it on planes to other states in Australia. Jackson’s best friend’s name was Lorenzo Baldacchino. He was a feared man in school and looked after Jackson and showed him the ropes of the streets. One day Jackson told Lorenzo about the contract world that he was looking for, and Lorenzo would always say:

-You’re close. He said I can give you a hint but you can’t ever tell anyone or both our families are dead, thus there’s a website that explains it all.

From then, Jackson would try to hack every web page to find the site that Lorenzo was talking about. Jackson usually hacked into websites to download music and movies: this is where his I.T skills began. He’d try every website he could to try and hack into the site, and Lorenzo would give him hints saying:

-It’s out there, but your family must be a part of it, or you are chosen by another contractor to continue the legacy of that man or woman.

One day Jackson and Lorenzo were doing a one hundred thousand dollars deal where they had to pick the product up from the Gold Coast and bring it back to Sydney. They were young and this was a big deal. After they’d made it back to Sydney, they got done over by a mob that had been trying to help them start up their heroin business. They robbed them for everything they had and shot Lorenzo in the head and let Jackson go. If he’d be a mule again and bring back heroin into Sydney again, he did the deed and he left it, but he wanted revenge for his best friend and wanted to find the contract world as Lorenzo talked about it as it bought hope to Jackson.

Jo would continuously beat up Jackson with his mates at school and at home, and Kurt would try stick up for him. One day Kurt hit Jo with a bat and knocked him out cold, and it gave Kurt an ego that he could help out Jackson more. When Jo awoke with an egg on his head, he knew that he had been knocked out and wanted to know who it was, and Kurt bragged about doing it. So, Jo knocked him out with a bat. The tension was very high between the two family members as this was getting more and more serious.

Kurt started practicing swinging bats, hitting poles, floors, doors to try and improve his swing, and he realized that, if a bat-on-bat collision is to occur, you must swing lightly, or it’ll hurt your hands. Kurt would hit poles and mostly practice on the clothesline pole where his hands started getting use to the collision with impact. Jackson set up the one-on-one fight between Jo and Kurt in their living rooms, baseball bat on baseball bat fight as Kurt couldn’t really throw punches at a sixteen-year-old as he had no strength in comparison to older boys.

When the fight was going down, Jackson rang the bell and the two started swinging at one another. Kurt dropped his bat; Jo broke one of his ribs and Jackson broke it up. Kurt was crying and Jackson helped him wipe his tears and Kurt pleaded that they’d go again. Jackson would say:

-Just admit the defeat, buddy. He’s a lot older and stronger than you.

But Kurt wouldn’t listen. He wanted the differences aside and wanted Jo to leave them both alone. There were no head shots allowed during the little war they had going on. They were stanced in their corners waiting for the bell to ding again when Kurt hit Jo’s bat softly, and then very hard. When Jo dropped his bat Kurt hit him in the face and knocked him out cold and started laying a couple more hits to the head until Jackson broke it up. Kurt really started feeling like he was doing justice to the world by sticking up for Jackson. Kurt could only fight with someone watching his back, that made him feel comfortable.

As Jo started realizing that Kurt was fearless, he started to fear Kurt a little bit and would just beat up Jackson and take his anger and fear out on his younger brother. Jackson would cry to Kurt, and Kurt would go into his room while he was sleeping and beat him up with a baseball bat. This process kept going on.

One day Jackson was at school, and Jo and all of his mates beat up Jackson severely and told him to stop telling Kurt. This time they took it too far: they broke his arm and completely swelled his face up. Jackson didn’t tell Kurt this time, but Kurt knew deep down and, as he went to go and face him, out the front of his house Jo and his two best friends beat Kurt severely and told him to stay away from Jo or this process would keep happening. Kurt was scarred but that’s what he thrived off that made him go even harder in life and in a fight.

Jackson had tried for months to look for the website of the contract world with Kurt in his room as they’d say things relevant, and more ideas started pushing them towards God. They had tried thousands of sites to try and find the website till they punched in www.saviouralmightycontractsunderworld.comttd. He punched it in and Jackson screamed:

-I found it!

Kurt and he were celebrating whilst Jo got jealous and said:

-You guys wouldn’t last anyways.

The website contained the areas that were owned by contractors, to where crime goes down and most importantly it proved that God is real. God himself owns the site and this is his underworld, where he lets fighters come out and show their true colors in fighting situations. The main part of the site shows that every millennium there is a chosen one that must take over God’s position and they were in 1995, so in five years someone would be chosen to help God take care of the earth.

There are two generations of Gods that have come about, starting with the creator. Since then, there is one generation of Gods below God himself that help save the galaxy but cannot show their true identity of their powers. Each God has different powers and different fighting techniques that they are known for. The millennium is the first of its kind that the Gods could choose someone from the earth to be one of them and rule the galaxy. This was the time for the new millennium to where another generation is to be chosen that had everyone in the contract world going crazy, thus there being more killings recently. Every contractor has a profile, and that profile shows their names, who they are, what kind of contractor they are, for example stomach torturers or people that rip out teeth, and a full profile of each. This is how other contractors start wars and fights by messaging each other to where shits is really going down.

Jackson had seen that you could create a profile. Jackson didn’t think it was his type of thing, so he let Kurt start a profile. Everyone had usually chosen different names for their profiles, but Kurt wanted to be himself, Kurt Spurr, a two-year-old, so they uploaded a picture of him holding two machetes. He was now the youngest contractor to ever live on the page, not that he had killed anyone yet: it was just seen as a way of life.

As they made the profile, there were links that said to ‘upload your profile and tell us about the worst things you’ve done to people’ to see if you were eligible to be the chosen one. Kurt gave his rep: knocked Jo out with baseball bat, had a broken nose from his father, took beating from Jo and his mates, and was expelled from Kindy for fighting, this was his rep in comparison to ruthless men torturing people, ripping apart stomachs, doing robberies and real ruthless things.

Jo laughed at his rep, but Kurt said:

-If I am chosen one, the first person I’m going to kill is Jo.

And he wrote a message to God:

-If I’m the chosen, I will protect people from bullies like my uncle Jo and use the powers for the good of humanity to protect the world - as not too many people had met God, as he had all powers that a superhero would have everything that you could imagine, and God was a killing machine himself and everyone feared him.

He could write a story on a piece of paper of how you die and no matter what it would happen. Everyone on the site had written to God on his profile about why they wanted to be the chosen one. Kurt messaged God his rep and it stood out from the others, as he was so young, and no one had seen anything like it.

Kurt Spurr could only fight if someone had his back, thus during all of the baseball bat fight Jackson was there watching his back.

Freddie had completely walked away from the contract world thus trying to be a normal citizen. Not too many people can walk away from this, but he was on top of his game, people wanted the area, and they knew they couldn’t beat him for it. So, the area was run by another mob, a man named Lex Lessons. Lex Lessons bought his own crew into play. He was a younger man that had done his time and put in work and was another feared man. Freddie chose him to take over and have his own crew, whilst all of Freddie boys mostly moved overseas and retired and started up families.

Now Jackson and Kurt had a family meeting where they told the whole family that the contract world was real. Freddie went ballistic, broke the computer and said:

-You’ve put us all in so much danger!

He didn’t believe Jackson that he’d found God’s website all on his own. Like he was God, for Christ Sakes no one had ever done this before. Grace checked the history of the computer and said they went through the history and stole it from Freddie, as he goes on and checks the websites sometimes to see what’s going on in the contract world, since he used to run the area. Kurt and Jackson were disappointed that Freddie would always deny such things, as he had known about it the whole time. The computer was on Freddie’s profile, and it had showed Freddie’s profile and messages he had written to God about how he wanted to be the chosen one. Freddie had a big reputation of a number of murders under his belt, as he was one of the most feared men on the site. From then on, Kurt didn’t trust his own father as he had lied about the website and knew about the underworld.
