And since then I haven't seen the book. I would so like to find it again, Aunt Greta finished her story. She is the grandmother of class 4 B's teacher and has come to the class today to tell about her grandmother's old cookbook. It contains many good recipes for both Christmas food and christmas cake. It has been gone for almost 40 years now. Aunt Greta last saw it when she moved from the villa to her current apartment. Celeste, Gabriel, Svea and Ryan are four students in the class. They are best friends and have been that since preschool. They are very fond of Aunt Greta, who often comes to the class to tell them about things from the past, when she was in the same age as them. They now feel sorry for Aunt Greta and decide during the break to try to help her find her grandmother's cookbook. It will be an exciting Christmas adventure. Wonder if they manage to find it before Christmas Eve?
School is over for the day and now it's the weekend. The four friends stand in the schoolyard and make a plan for how to do with the search for the cookbook. Ryan and Celeste decide to seek out Aunt Greta tomorrow and question her some more. Gabriel and Svea should stay at school and talk to their teacher a little more to see what she knows. Then everyone will gather at Gabriel's house on Sunday and tell each other what they found out. While the friends are standing and discussing, several of their classmates arrive and also want to be involved in the search for the book. How fun, then there will be even more of them on the hunt. The class decides that on Monday they will talk more, then they will know what the friends achieved during the weekend.
Have some more juice kids. Does anyone want another fluff bun? Celeste and Ryan are sitting at Aunt Greta's kitchen table. Now it's so saturated. Both have eaten lots of gingerbread and lussebullar. They ask if they can take some home and invite their friends over tomorrow. They get that. They can also take Aunt Greta's homemade rhubarb juice with them. Yum. While the children sat and had christmas cake, Aunt Greta told more about her grandmother's cookbook. The children already knew a lot because they had heard it at school, but some new things came up. For example, when Aunt Greta moved, she got help from her cousins, aunt and uncle. What if one of them might have received the book from Aunt Greta without her remembering it? It could be, Aunt Greta agrees, her memory is getting a little bad sometimes. Ryan and Celeste get a promise from Aunt Greta to find her relatives and ask about the book. Aunt Greta can't bear to do it herself.
