(from ego to I, from I to we), it is close to my heart to open new perspectives through my consultations and to offer parents as well as future parents valuable support and inspiration for a mindful and loving accompaniment of their children.

For over 15 years, I have been working with children in nurseries, daycares, kindergartens, and after-school care centers in Klagenfurt, Vienna, and Berlin. During this time, I have gained many valuable experiences, which I now wish to share with you. The goal of this book is to give you practical tips and inspiring suggestions to make everyday life with children easier and more joyful.

My extensive education at the Bundesbildungsanstalt für Kindergartenpädagogik (Federal Educational Institution for Kindergarten Pedagogy, BAKIP) in Klagenfurt, Austria, was both formative and demanding. In five years of full-day classes, I not only earned my high school diploma but also completed comprehensive pedagogical training, including psychology, pedagogy, and didactics. Saturdays were still regular school days back then, and in the last two years of my education, I had 54 hours of classes per week, which underscores the depth and intensity of this training. This hard but enriching time not only trained me pedagogically but also significantly advanced my personal development. Supplemented by further training in coaching and systemic counseling as well as diverse professional experiences, my education and experiences form the solid foundation of my work.

We live in a fast-paced, performance-oriented society that often places high demands on us. That is precisely why it is important to help our children early on to navigate this world. It's not just about imparting knowledge, but above all about how we can stand by them with love, patience, and clarity, so they can develop as freely and unburdened as possible. Education doesn't have to be strict and complicated – it can also be full of joy. What it needs is clarity.

Parenting is one of the most important and challenging tasks we have as parents or caregivers. It’s not just about setting rules or demanding obedience. Rather, parenting means lovingly and respectfully guiding the child, showing them the world, and helping them find their place in our society. It is important to give the child a sense of security and to respond to their individual needs.

A large part of parenting is the attitude we take towards life and the child. This attitude influences how the child sees the world.
