Love Self First

Dating is like food to a relationship. It helps you to understand, and know if you are compatible with each other. Dating regularly may lead to marriage. The result of a study by Emory University (2017), with over 3,000 people about dating and marriage shows that dating for less than one year; one and two years have a chance for a marriage proposal, and most importantly decrease the chance of divorce about 20 percent. Also, dating three or more years have a chance for a marriage proposal and a probability divorce of approximately 50 percent. Hence, it suggests that it is wise to date a few years before committing to marriage.

Readiness

Be ready to commit yourself to dating – dating is a mindset. Be prepared to meet someone who is different from you. Be willing to do your research and know what you want out of dating.

Appearance

Dress appropriately for the date. Women amplify and accentuate your positives - wear colors that complement your skin tone - men, dress like a gentleman.

First Impression

Plan for the first and lasting impression on a date. Be on time, pick the right activities, do not dominate the conversation, and be yourself.
