Angel Fridolin in the Land of Wonders
What would happen if we would already learn as children that wonder can happen at any time? How could we change life if we would trust in the fact that our wishes are coming true?
It is a Witch alert! The small angel Fridolin meets three fairies which urgently need the gold carafe with the crystal of eternal light to save the good in the world. Fridolin is ready to take on the mission. For that he has to go to the Land of Wonders and find out where the gold carafe is. Preferably before the Smoke-witches find it. ...
“Well, how did the story continue?” he asked curiously. Now Eibi joined in the conversation: “The story continued that we came with the dove to the human child. The human child’s name is Odilie and she is a wonderful human. It only got complicated when the situation with the Crane-beings got worse very quickly and Zitronella had to leave in a hurry...

Angel Fridolin in the Land of Wonders

The little angel Fridolin sat on a swing and was swinging in boredom in the garden of a small house. He would have loved to accelerate a little and would have been flying high with this shaky wooden swing. He imagined if it would be possible if he could swing right to the top of the apple tree. With hope he looked into the surrounding neighbourhood. If nobody would be around, than he would try it once...He already heard a strict harrumph next to him: “Hmmh, hmmh, don’t even think about it!”

His father stood next to him, the boss of the angel kid’s brigade. Why couldn’t he finally do what angel kids really enjoy doing? Stubbornly he looked at his father: “What do you mean?”

His father smiled benevolently. “I mean, that you know the agreements: don’t swing higher than the wind is blowing. You know that. What do you think of how frightened the humans are going to be when they see a swing swinging by itself up to the treetops? They will be scared to death!”

Fridolin jumped off the swing and kicked at a wooden batten which crashed to the ground.

Again, he heard the “hmmh, hmmh!” behind him.

He plumped down on the grass, which was neither well-kept nor neglected. From a human beings viewpoint it was surely neglected. There he was laying now on his back and looked with narrowed eyes into the sun. Ideas rushed through his mind like lightning. He isn’t allowed anything! Someone was constantly watching him! Mostly it was his father! Shoot! When would he be finally big enough to do all the things on his own? He wished that he could bring on that state more quickly.

A bell sounded. First soft, then louder. He knew what this fine bell-ringing meant. He chuckled to himself quietly.

With the bell chime, his father has to leave now for a human who needs help from the angels. Fridolin’s mood improved immediately. He decided to remain on the grass until his father would be out of sight. As unsuspiciously as possible and not very interested looking, that was the best way not to be taken along at the last moment, because a little angel could surely learn something on such a human mission.

No, No, not today! Fridolin extended his supposed time-out for a few minutes, because only in this way could he make sure that his father was far away.

With a dart he leaped up to his feet and a contented grin broadened on his face! Even he as an angel wouldn’t believe that wishing would work that fast!

A wave of joy spread over his small body; from the feet up to the hair ends and to the ends of his wings. He felt energized all over. Fridolin giggled! Luckily he already had curling hair, otherwise his hair would have curled at least now with that boost of energy!

“This could still be a beautiful day after all!” he mumbled to himself. He looked with hope to the swing and was thinking if he should start to enjoy his freedom. Finally swinging up to the sky or at least a roll-over!

But the swing was already in use. Three fairies were already sitting and laughing on the old wooden seat and were swaying in the gentle breeze.

Fridolin’s face darkened. “What do they want here now?” he asked quietly. His thoughts were suddenly focused on the swing and he was very keen to swing now. But other beings also seemed to like the swing, and these beings, the fairies, were sitting on it now. He had the short thought that the day might not be as good as he thought. But then he remembered that it was, against all expectations, his day off. He wouldn’t dull his day because of three fairies! Neither from fairies nor any other beings! A little envious, he looked over to the fairies that were now laughing louder.

“What’s so funny?” he was asking in a volume that was so quiet that the fairies couldn’t hear him at all. He put on a bored face and glanced over to the swing. The fairies obviously didn’t discover him yet, so he could watch them very well; which he did.

They were sitting next to each other. At the far left sat a blonde fairy with long hair. Her hair was glistening in the sun and was braided like a crown and threaded with moss. The dark green matched her green eyes wonderfully. Her dress appeared to be sewn of red tulip leaves and she was wearing yellow shoes, which reminded Fridolin of the inner of a tulip. Unfortunately he couldn’t tell if they were just as dusty as the tulip pistils, but the shape matched.

Next to the blonde fairy was a fairy that was a little smaller than the other two. She also had long hair, but hers was red and curly. She was wearing a dress of violet leaves and no shoes. Fridolin was under the impression that he could smell the fragrance of her dress. The violet leaves were shining like velvet in the sun.

“Why doesn’t she have shoes?” Fridolin thought. He shrugged his shoulders and his eyes were wandering to the fairy on the right.

She seemed to be a little older than the other two fairies; at least she gave that impression. Her hair was short and dark, her dress was made of hibiscus leaves, which matched her hair very well, and she was wearing small booties of snapdragons. That’s how they were sitting next to each other and they seemed to have a lot of fun.

“They are sitting on my swing”, mumbled Fridolin. Just at this very moment the fairies spotted him.

“Huhuuu!” waved the blonde fairy and smiled. “What are you doing here?” The other two turned their heads towards him and looked curiously.

“Me?” Fridolin asked and looked behind himself, to make sure that no one was standing behind him. A completely unnecessary question, he would have felt immediately the presence of another being behind him, there was no reason for him to turn around.

“Yes, you!” answered the fairy. This time she was waving and signalling for him to come closer.

Fridolin considered briefly if he should listen to the fairies. But what did he have to lose? So he walked markedly slow towards the swinging fairy-group. All three fairies looked at him very kindly.

“Hello”, said Fridolin hesitantly. He very quickly set aside his hesitation and stood notably casual in front of the swing.

The fairies giggled again.

“Hello”, they called with one voice. A little insecure about the giggling he lost his coolness for a moment to position himself a little stiffly in the next moment.

He decided that he could only underline his coolness by starting the conversation: “What are you doing here?”

Right! The first step has been taken. Now it was up to these fairies to speak up.

But that they didn’t do. They preferred to answer with the exact same question: “What are you doing here?”

Fridolin did not expect that and he immediately fell for it.

“I was swinging here before you did and I was then laying in the grass and looking at the sun. And now I am thinking what else I will do today.” He noticed how he started to cross his hands behind his back and to rock his body back and forth while he was talking. He was annoyed about that. How does that look like? As if they caught him in the act of something. Slightly upset he pressed his lips together.

“Well, well”, he heard the blonde fairy saying. “Are you here all alone?” she added.

“Why not?” Fridolin hissed through his still pressed lips. “You are here on your own too!” he added.
