Best known are the seven main chakras: Root Chakra, Hara, Solar Plexus, Heart Chakra, Throat Chakra, Third Eye and Crown Chakra. But they are not the only chakras - there are also, for example, the minor chakras in the arms and the legs. Of particular interest are also the intermediate chakras between the main chakras, which limit their "lands" like borders with gates that can "pump" the life force from one chakra to another and play an important role in the formation and resolution of trauma. The chakras are the "organs" of the life force body. Just as the physical body has a blood circulation, the life force body also has a "life force circulation": the Kundalini, which flows in the three central "veins" of the Sushumna and Ida and Pingala. Furthermore, there is a special form of secondary chakras that transform the images in the chakras into "docking points" for the outside world: the kshetrams and the aura points. They correspond to the sense organs and the hands of the physical body. In order to be able to grasp this complex system, which is nevertheless constructed in a very simple and coherent way, in all its details and in its great elegance, this book compares the knowledge of the chakras of different peoples, the acupuncture points of Chinese Medicine, the Marma points from Indian Ayurveda and the Rang-Dröl points from Tibetan Medicine. The result of these considerations is the description of the meaningful attitude in life - after all, the chakras are also the "organs" of the psyche and their "healthy state" therefore is also the "healthy attitude" of a person.

Book List

I The Exploration of the Minor Chakras

The seven main chakras are one of the best known elements in today's general spiritual knowledge. They have a simple inner structure from which they can be well understood.

I have described these seven chakras and their inner structure in detail in my book "Chakra Magic for Beginners" – they are not the primary subject of this book. In the third chapter of this book, there is a brief summary of the characteristics of the seven main chakras.

The chakras are the organs of the life force body – just as the heart, spleen, liver, colon, brain, etc. are the organs of the physical body. Since the life force is closely connected with one's own vitality, with one's inner images, feelings, thoughts and memories, the chakras are also the "organs of the psyche". Disturbances in the chakras, i.e. in the area of the psyche, lead in the long run also to physical disturbances, i.e. to diseases.

I have described the connections between the psyche and diseases in "The Symbolism of Diseases" – however, they are also not the main topic in the present book, in which mainly the minor chakras are explored.

Finally, in the life force body there is also something like a blood circulation, commonly known as "Kundalini". This life force circuit is also very helpful in understanding the chakras.

I have described the Kundalini in my books "Kundalini for Beginners" and "Dragon Fire" in its many different aspects.

Then there are also superordinate structures into which the chakras, the minor chakras and the life force circuit fit. They also play a major role in this book, as they are a great help in understanding the chakras and the minor chakras.

While these four areas (chakras, life force circuit of Kundalini, structure of the life force body, diseases) are relatively well researched, the minor chakras have been known for a long time, but in many cases reliable information about them can hardly be found. There is not even a reasonably certain known number of minor chakras.

Some Indian and Tibetan texts speak of 72,000 to 340,000 minor chakras. That is very much more than a human being can really know by heart and use in every day life … In this book only the minor chakras are considered, which are still relatively large "organs" of the life force body and whose function can therefore still be recognized reasonably clearly. However, not every "cell" of the life force body is examined – for how could this be done reliablw way?

In India there is a system of 107 larger life force structures, which are similar to the acupunkture points and are called "Marma" – they are supplemented by some "unofficial points". In this system, the main chakras are also counted among the "Marmas".

The tiny life force structures smaller than the "Marmas" are not the subject of this book – the lower limit of the "life force organs" considered here are structures in the life force about the size of an acupuncture point, of which there are 365.

The required degree of differentiation of the understanding of the structures and dynamics of the life force in the human body depends on what one wants to achieve:

- for attaining a little more serenity, basic knowledge is sufficient (the seven main chakras);

- for awakening Kundalini, a little more detailed knowledge is useful (the main and minor chakras);

- and for acupuncture treatment one should have studied the life force body quite thoroughly (the main and minor chakras and the 107 Marmas or the 365 acupuncture points).

Because of the situation described here regarding the state of knowledge of the minor chakras, this book is a research project to a much greater extent than the three books mentioned above.

It is therefore appropriate to begin this book with a consideration of the methods by which the minor chakras can be found, recognized, and described so that they can then be used in meditation, healing, and the like.

This book is not a definitive and completely reliable description of the minor chakras, but rather a research report. The results presented in it have already been confirmed by our own experiments, but it would be desirable if these results would be confirmed, corrected and described in a more differentiated way by other researchers or users, so that finally a secure description of the whole chakra system would be available to all interested people.

1. Methods of Researching the Minor Chakras

a) The Main Chakras

The knowledge of the seven main chakras is the basis for the research of the minor chakras. The seven main chakras are the most important "organs" of the life force body of man.

The minor chakras can best be understood in their relation to the main chakras.

b) Well-known Minor Chakras

Some minor chakras such as the two hand chakras, the two foot chakras, the wishfulfilling tree and the palate chakra have been quite well known for a long time (and not only from India) and can therefore be described relatively easily and explored in more detail.

c) Acupuncture Points

The well known Chinese system of acupuncture points located on the acupuncture lines ("meridians") can also give clues to the character of the minor chakras in some cases. These acupuncture meridians are also the basis of Shiatsu.

d) The "Kshetrams"

The five minor chakras on the front of the body in front of the five main chakras, tha tare located inside the body, are known from yoga and traditional Indian healing, where they are called "Kshetrams".

The shoulder blades minor chakra on the back (behind the heart chakra) is described by the Yaqui Indians. It is called the "assemblage point" by Carlos Castaneda. This chakra is also known to the Hopis, who live not too far from the Yaquis. The Hopis also know the four main lower chakras, that is, the root chakra, the hara, the solar plexus and the heart chakra.

The five backside kshetrams are known mainly from Indian medicine.

e) Overall Structure and Dynamics of the Life Force Body

The recognition of the overall structure and the inner dynamics of the life force body makes it possible to grasp the character of the individual minor chakras in their basic structure due to their location within this system and within the physical body. Especially the heart chakra symmetry of the life force body plays an important role.

f) Intermediate Chakras

The character of some minor chakras (the "intermediate chakras") results from the fact that they lie exactly between two of the seven main chakras and at the same time form their separation and connection.

g) The Main External Connections

The six chakras, which are the main connections to the outside, can be experienced and recognized through meditations, rituals, family constellations and the like. They correspond in function to the orifices and sense organs of the physical body.

h) The Astrological Houses

The assignment of the body parts to the 12 astrological houses is another possibility to get at least suggestions about the qualities of the minor chakras in these 12 body areas, which are distinguished in astrology.

i) The Kabbalistic Tree of Life

The Kabbalistic Tree of Life with its ten or eleven Sephiroth (spheres) also contains the seven chakras, but only something about the character of the wish tree (i. e. the „widhfulfilling tree“, a minor chakra) can be deduced from them. This analogy between the wish tree and one of the structures on the tree of life is, however, very revealing.

j) Analogies from the Sciences

There are quite a number of analogies to the chakras from physics, biology, psychology, etc. They are mentioned in separate chapters. They enrich the other considerations and provide important suggestions. Since they sometimes come from rather unknown fields of knowledge, a certain understanding of the connections is necessary.

However, these analogies are not absolutely necessary for understanding the structure of the chakra system and can (if one wishes) be skipped or read afterwards.

k) Meditation

One's own experience in meditation with these minor chakras is ultimately indispensable, since only one's own experience forms a truly reliable foundation. Here the directing of the life force in one's own body plays the most important role.

l) Dream Journeys

Dream journeys are a special method of obtaining information about various things. It can also be applied to the minor chakras.

m) Consultations and Healings

One of the most fruitful sources of knowledge of the minor chakras are consultations and dream journeys with people who have a tendency to have multiple personalities, and who are therefore able, without effort, to have lively conversations with their own body parts and chakras. This often reveals the character of the body parts and also the chakras and minor chakras, as well as the kundalini dynamics.

The use of the chakras and minor chakras during consultations and healings as well as the healing successes achieved by them are ultimately the thing, that shows whether one has really grasped the essence of the chakras and minor chakras.

n) The symbolism of diseases

The contemplation of diseases and their psychic causes is another fruitful source for the understanding of the minor chakras. The aspect of the psyche belonging to a part of the body can be recognized by grasping the function of this part of the body as precisely as possible. A disease is first of all a disturbance of this aspect of the psyche, which finally manifests itself as a disease of this part of the body. This connection also makes it possible to grasp the character of the main chakras and minor chakras located in or near this part of the body.

From the nature of the diseases of an area, something can always be deduced about the quality of the healthy state of this area and the main chakras and minor chakras located in it.

II The Entire System – Part 1: The Dynamics

When exploring the minor chakras, it is helpful to look at the entire system of the chakras.

The starting point and center of the entire chakra system is the heart chakra – the abode of the soul that has incarnated in the person in question. Therefore, in the heart chakra lies the individuality and the personal impulse of creation.

When a child is conceived, the orgasm of the parents releases life force, which initially forms a rotating sphere about 1m in diameter, in the center of which is the fertilized ovum.

This rotating sphere of life force may be seen in dream journeys or felt directly around the belly of a woman, who ist newly pregnant. This can be felt most clearly during the first 2 or 3 weeks of pregnancy.

This life force sphere is formed by two influences: from the material side by the fertilized ovum (it will be a human being) and from the soul that incarnates in this embryo (the character of this human being). Both together give rise to the structures of the life force body, i.e. mainly the chakras. A third influence is the horoscope – it's a tool of the soul to achieve it's ends in it's inacarnation.

The Heart Chakra

Since the soul has made the decision to incarnate and since the soul in the heart chakra is the center of the chakra system, the self-expression of the soul is an essential element of the structure of the chakras.

- In the heart chakra lies the identity – this chakra is the dwelling place of the soul, the "temple of the soul".

- The solar plexus below the heart chakra and the throat chakra above the heart chakra are the emotions, that is, the impulses that come from the heart chakra.

- The hara below the solar plexus and the third eye above the throat chakra are the forms and thoughts that arise when the inner impulses encounter the world.

- The root chakra below the hara and the crown chakra above the third eye are the touch of the world, the contact and connection with it, the experiences of the world.

The three lower chakras relate to one's own body; the three upper chakras relate to the world as a whole.

The heart chakra in the center and the three pairs of outer chakras thus have a simple dynamic:

Identity (soul) → Self-Expression (feeling) → Form (mind) → Touch (body)

This dynamic is not only a qualitative sequence, but also a temporal sequence:

- In the EEG of an embryo only waves with 2-4Hz can be measured at first, which means that the embryo is in deep sleep. As EEG measurements on meditators show, this frequency is also a characteristic of deep meditation, i.e. of the harmony of the psyche with one's own soul. This frequency corresponds to the heart chakra.

- From the 3rd month on, frequencies of 4-8Hz are also found, which are a marker for the dream state. They correspond to the feelings and thus to the solar plexus and the throat chakra.

- From the 8th month onwards, frequencies of 8-16Hz are also added, which are the frequency of the waking consciousness and thus of thinking. They correspond to the hara and the third eye.

- Shortly before birth, frequencies of 16-32Hz appear for the first time, which corres-pond to the state of arousal, i.e. orgasm, ecstasy, and the like. They are a sign of the awakening of the root chakra and the crown chakra.

After birth, the newborn experiences the world. In addition to the self-expression that runs from the heart chakra outward to the root chakra and the crown chakra, there is now the processing of the experiences that runs in the opposite direction from the root chakra and the crown chakra toward the heart chakra:

- At first, the infant absorbs all impressions and hardly distinguishes between itself and its environment: the "oral phase". The infant says "yes" to everything, so to speak. This is the nature of the root chakra and the crown chakra.

- From the age of 1 year, the infant begins to speak, to walk, to say "No!" and distinguishes himself and his environment and also what he likes and what he doesn't like: the "anal phase". This is the essence of the Hara and the Third Eye.

- From the age of 3 the child begins to say "I!!!" and to have clear ideas about himself and what he wants: the "phallic phase". This is the essence of the solar plexus and the throat chakra.

If all goes well, the child can finally shape its life out of its identity (heart chakra) in such a way that it corresponds to its own being – it has become capable of perception (root chakra + crown chakra → heart chakra) and action (heart chakra → root chakra + crown chakra): the "genital phase".

The minor chakras all stand in this overall dynamic and are a logical part of it.

In exploring the minor chakras, it becomes apparent that there are different types of minor chakras, depending on their position in this overall system.

The seven main chakras may also be seen as different mixtures of the light of the crown chakra (consciousness) and the fire of the root chakra (vividness). This point of view shows that the chakra system is a polar system (fire and light) and that the heart chakra is not only by its place the center, but also by the fact, that it is half fire and half light and thus in equilibrium.

III The 7 Main Chakras

Before exploring the nature of the minor chakras, it is helpful to briefly describe once again the character of the seven main chakras.1

1. Root Chakra

This chakra is located between the genitals and the anus. It can be experienced as a "writhing glow."

Its essence is vitality. It is the life force, trust, the urge to live, touch, senses, sexuality, the lust for life, erotic desire, the urge to survive …

This chakra directs the attention to the physical touch of the world.

This chakra is the antithesis of the crown chakra: the root chakra connects with matter (sex) and the crown chakra connects with consciousness (enlightenment).

This chakra is located in the area of the 8th astrological house (genitals, excretory organs), which corresponds quite closely to this chakra in terms of its quality. This astrological house is related to Scorpio.

2. Hara

This chakra is located four finger widths below the navel. It can be experienced as a "pulsating warmth".

Its essence is the inner support. It is dance, rhythm, struggle, movement, ons's own space, self-assertion …

This chakra is the opposite pole to the Third Eye. The Hara is one's own inner hold – the Third Eye sees the outer goal.

This chakra has no clear correspondence to the 7th astrological house (abdomen), which corresponds in astrology to the area of the body where this chakra is located.

3. Solar Plexus

This chakra is located just above the navel. It can be experienced as a "fine sparkling heat".

Its essence is unhindered physical self-expression. It is acting, feeling, desire, striving ….

This chakra is the antithesis of the throat chakra. The solar plexus is the physical self-expression, the throat chakra is the social self-expression.

This chakra has no clear correspondence to the 6th astrological house (digestive organs), which corresponds to the area of the body where this chakra is located.

4. Heart Chakra

This chakra is located in the center of the chest. It can be experienced as a "loving, fulfilling glow."

Its essence is the self, one's soul. It is identity, self-reliance, self-esteem, self-love …

This chakra has no opposite pole, as it is the center and source of the entire chakra system.

This chakra is located in the area of the 5th astrological house (heart, lungs), which corresponds quite closely to this chakra in terms of its quality. This astrological house is related to Leo.

5. Throat Chakra

This chakra is located in the middle of the throat. It can be experienced as "radiant, light warmth".

Its essence is unhindered social self-expression. It is honesty, sincerity, courage, sociability, discovery of the world …

This chakra is the antithesis of the solar plexus.

This chakra is located in the area of the 2nd astrological house (neck), which has similarity with this chakra in terms of quality. This astrological house is related to Taurus.

6. Third Eye

This chakra is located between the eyebrows. It can be experienced as "pulsating warmth and a pressure from the inside out".

Its essence is orientation in the world and one's own alignment in the world.

This chakra is the antithesis of the hara.

This chakra has no clear correspondence to the 1st astrological house (head), which corresponds to the area of the body where this chakra is located.

7. Crown Chakra

This chakra is located on the top of the head. It can be experienced as "expanding, unfolding warmth".

Its essence is the inner connection with the world. It is security, meditation, trust, responsibility …

This chakra is the antithesis of the root chakra.

This chakra has no clear correspondence to the 1st astrological house (head), which corresponds to the area of the body where this chakra is located.

The 7 Main Chakras

the seven main chakras (from top to bottom):

IV Chakras in Imbalance

The heart chakra contains one's identity.

The three lower chakras (solar plexus, hara, root chakra) look inward at one's own body.

The three upper chakras (throat chakra, third eye, crown chakra) look outward to the community and to the world.

From this polarity, it follows that the healthy state of the chakra system requires a balance between the three upper chakras and the three lower chakras.

When this balance is present, one can fulfill one's own needs (solar plexus) while remaining part of the community (throat chakra). Then one does what one wants without isolating oneself through it.

When this balance is present, one can represent one's own point of view (hara) and at the same time see what the others want (third eye). Then one stands independently in the self-chosen community.

When this balance is present, one can be in the here and now and live one's life there (root chakra), and at the same time have an awareness of the whole and therefore act in trust and responsibility (crown chakra). Then one lives out of the whole in the here and now.

This balance does not mean, of course, that one must spend exactly the same amount of time and energy on each of the six outer chakras and that there must be exactly the same amount of life force in them. It must only be an approximate balance, an organical balance, in which all chakras are equally important and form part of a whole system, in which no chakra is neglected and no chakra becomes dominant.

Disturbances of the overall system can therefore be described as imbalances in the three pairs of chakras.

Normally, either the three upper or the three lower chakras together have too little or too much life force. One of these three chakra pairs is the formative imbalance, i.e. the cause of the imbalance lies in it.

The case that e.g. two of the upper chakras contain too much energy and one too little, does not seem to occur. This is because both the three upper chakras and the three lower chakras are connected in content and because their content developes step by step out of each other (from the heart chakra outwards).

The heart chakra has a special role in this consideration, because it is not part of a pair of chakras, but the center of the three pairs of chakras.

From the heart chakra emanates a three step movement toward the world: the three chakras above the heart chakra and the three chakras below the heart chakra. The three lower chakras focus on one's own body, that is, on the inside – the three upper chakras focus on the surrounding space, that is, on the outside.

By their nature, these two groups of three chakras should be in harmony with each other, since one needs both inner perception and outer perception in order to act meaningfully.

If you only see the inside, you know what you need, but you don't see how to make it happen, or you become reckless and thus ineffective. Such people tend to become "addicted, dominant stars".

When you only see the outside, you see the ways and possibilities, but you don't have the inner strength to follow those ways. Such people tend to become "ascetic, submissive fans".

1. Heart Chakra

If there is too little life force in the heart chakra, then one does not know who one is and what one wants.

There cannot be too much life force in the heart chakra – only too little.

The heart chakra is the center – you can live in harmony with yourself or not.

2. Solar Plexus and Throat Chakra

The theme of this pair of chakras is the balance between orientation inward and therefore toward one's own body (solar plexus) and orientation outward and therefore toward others (throat chakra).

The question here is where the orientation of attention is directed.

When this pair of chakras is in balance, then the solar plexus gives rise to a radiant self-esteem and then the throat chakra leads to a joyful appreciation of others – then one can form a community together with others.

a) Too Much Life Force in the Solar Plexus

If there is too much life force in the solar plexus, one has always to be the center of attention, one becomes a show-off, then one tends to narcissism and wants all energy for oneself – one flees into the role of the "star".

If there is too much life force in the solar plexus, there is too little life force in the throat chakra.

b) Too Much Life Force in the Throat Chakra

If there is too much life force in the throat chakra, then one only orients oneself to others, adapts to them, becomes a wallflower, a plain Jane, then one becomes inconspicuous, has hardly any desires, does not know what to do, feels small, inferior, worthless, useless – and flees into the role of the "fan".

If there is too much life force in the throat chakra, there is too little life force in the solar plexus.

3. Hara and Third Eye

The theme of this pair of chakras is the balance between one's own point of view within (Hara) and creative cooperation with others outside (Third Eye).

The question here is how one stands in the world.

If this pair of chakras is in balance, then the hara gives inner support and the third eye gives overview – then one can move in the world in a meaningful way.

a) Too Much Life Force in the Hara

If there is too much life force in the Hara, one becomes dominant, reckless, steps on the toes of all others, asserts oneself everywhere and always has to be the winner – one becomes a "perpetrator". One becomes a hawk that looks down on the mouse and hunts it.

If there is too much life force in the hara, there is too little life force in the third eye.

b) Too Much Life Force in the Third Eye

When there is too much life force in the third eye, one is unstable, loses one's own rhythm, cannot resist, gives up one's own realm without protection and cannot defend oneself and cannot say "No!" with emphasis – one becomes a "victim". One becomes a mouse that looks up fearfully to the hawk and flees.

If there is too much life force in the third eye, there is too little life force in the hara.

4. Root Chakra and Crown Chakra

The theme of this pair of chakras is the balance between contact with one's own body (root chakra) and contact with the world (crown chakra).

The question here is what one is connected to.

When this pair of chakras is in balance, the root chakra gives contact with the world and the crown chakra gives trust in the world and responsibility for the world – then one lives in the world as part of the world.

a) Too Much Life Force in the Root Chakra

If there is too much life force in the root chakra, then one becomes hyperactive, addicted, thinks only about sex, reacts only instinctively and is quite excited all the time – one becomes an addict and an "animal". One is only concerned with experiencing one's own bodily sensations. Then the wide view of the whole is missing.

If there is too much life force in the root chakra, there is too little life force in the crown chakra.

b) Too much Life Force in the Crown Chakra

If there is too much life force in the crown chakra, one becomes apathetic, ascetic, loses all erotic charisma, resigns and no longer knows why one is alive – one becomes an ascetic and a "living corpse". Then the invigorating egoism is missing.

If there is too much life force in the crown chakra, there is too little life force in the root chakra.

V The Entire System – Part 2: The Solar Wind

There are many examples in nature of systems that are structured like the seven chakras. One of the most vivid examples is the solar system, i.e. each star and its surrounding space.

In the following description of the analogy between the chakra system and the structures in the space around a star, in most places we will not distinguish between the upper and lower chakra triad, but will only consider these three steps in the structure of the space around the sun.

1. The Heart Chakra is like a Star

In the center is a star – that is, in the solar system, the star called the "sun." Its mass is so great that the pressure created by gravity (contraction) in the center is so high that it "squeezes" the smaller atoms (hydrogen) into larger atoms (helium). Since in a helium atom more favorable energy conditions prevail than in a hydrogen atom, energy is released – the stars become "hot". The star then radiates this energy – the stars (and the sun as one of them) shine.

This star is the center of its system. It corresponds to the heart chakra and the soul within it.

2. The Solar Plexus and the Throat Chakra are Like the Solar Wind

The sun emits not only light, i.e. photons, but also electrons and small atomic nuclei (of hydrogen and helium), i.e. ions. This radiation is called "solar wind".

Since this solar wind always has the same direction (away from the sun), these photons, electrons and ions push away from the sun against the fine stardust, which is everywhere in a galaxy and thus also around the stars (and the sun).

A medium sized galaxy consists of about 100.000.000.000 stars.

The solar wind leads to the fact that around the sun an area develops, in which the solar wind has pushed away the stardust, i.e. all foreign bodies (electrons, ions, fine rock dust) from the sun.

This area corresponds to the solar plexus and the throat chakra, whose activity is to implement the will of the soul in the heart chakra in the form of concrete wishes, and also to remove all obstacles from the way so that the wishes become realizable.

The feelings of the solar plexus and the throat chakra are the emanations of the identity in the heart chakra – they are like the solar wind emitted by the sun.

The feelings should be anchored in the heart – just like the sun rays in the sun. And the feelings should radiate outward into the world unrestrained and unhindered – just as the solar wind radiates into the sun's periphery.

3. The Hara and the Third Eye are like the Shock Front

Since all the stardust is pushed away from the sun by the solar wind, a shock front is formed in front of the solar wind – the shell of a large hollow sphere at a great distance from the star (in the case of the sun, far outside the orbit of Pluto).

This shock front is like the snow in front of a snow shovel, which always moves in the same direction. The snow hill, which piles up in front of the snow pusher, becomes larger and larger.

The shock front in front of the solar wind has the shape of a huge hollow sphere. It contains altogether about as much mass as the entire earth, but since it is distributed as finest dust on a gigantic sphere surface, whose center is the sun, it is nowhere tangible as a firm structure – it is rather like a fine fog layer around the solar system.

By the constantly blowing solar wind, which presses from the inside against this shock front, this "nebulous spherical shell" expands more and more.

At the shock front, the solar wind, i.e. the momentum of the star, collides with the surrounding matter and forms a boundary region. This boundary region consists of the matter radiated by the star in the form of the solar wind, as well as the stardust encountered by the star on its way through the galaxy to which it belongs.

In the same way, the impulses of the solar plexus and the throat chakra meet in their surrounding space, that is, in the hara and the third eye, the conditions in the world in which they want to realize the desires emanating from the heart chakra.

Where two different forces meet, a form always arises from the essence of these two forces. Thus, also from the impulses of the heart chakra of a person and from the momentum of the other people in his environment and the things in the world, the structures in the life of this person arise. This formative process can also be found within a person when his concrete impulses (solar plexus and throat chakra) meet the world and, based on what they find there, give rise to certain attitudes (hara) and ways of proceeding (third eye).

4. The Root Chakra and the Crown Chakra are like the Bow Wave

When an object moves through another substance, a bow wave is created in front of that object in the direction of its movement – like the wave in front of a ship.

This bow wave is created by the ship bumping against the water molecules and these water molecules being pushed forward by the ship – just like a ball is pushed away when you kick it. If one would go along a way, on which many balls would lie and one would kick against each ball, balls would fly away constantly in front of one in the direction of one's own movement and form a bow wave of balls.

Also the shock front in front of the solar wind causes by its constant, all-sided expansion through the stardust a bow wave in front of the shock front.

This shock front corresponds to the establishment of contact, the first meeting with the new area – for which in the life force body of a human being the root chakra and the crown chakra are responsible. These two chakras are also the concrete contact with one's environment.

Solar System and Chakra System

5. Obstacles in Life

Not everything in life is easy and sometimes there are obstacles where you actually want to go along. This is also true for the solar wind – when it meets the Earth, it cannot fly on as it wants and it cannot push the Earth out of the way. Then it becomes bright on the side of the earth that the solar wind hits … it becomes day.

When the solar wind hits the atmosphere of the earth, the atmosphere itself also begins to glow, which can then be seen as the northern lights, especially in the evening and in the morning.

VI The 6 Intermediate Chakras

Between the seven main chakras there are six transitions – the boundaries, so to speak, between the seven areas that are characterized by these seven chakras.

Some of these points, where the connecting line of the seven main chakras crosses these boundaries, are known as minor chakras – especially the wish tree and also still the thymus chakra and the head hair chakra.

The character of these six "intermediate chakras" can therefore be recognized from the observation of the transition between the respective main chakras concerned – at least a well-founded working hypothesis can be derived from this observation, which, however, must then be confirmed by one's own experience and possibly also by traditional descriptions before it can be practically applied.

A The Individual Intermediate Chakras

1. Wish Tree

This chakra is located directly under the lower end of the sternum. It is the boundary between the area of the heart chakra and the area of the solar plexus.

From the location of this chakra, we can conclude that it describes the relationship between one's identity on the one hand and physical self-expression on the other.

Here, one's own identity becomes desires, impulses and emotions. At first, these desires are still general desires for a relationship, for an apartment, for travel, for a good job, for wisdom, and so on. These desires arise from one's own being, they are, so to speak, the still unrestrained radiance of the heart chakra in the solar plexus. These general desires then gradually become concrete desires: One wants to be with a concrete person, to make a certain journey, to have a certain profession, to live in a concrete place, to understand a certain thing, etc.

The self-image in the heart, i.e. the soul in the heart chakra, first becomes the inner man and the inner woman in the chest space. As a man one identifies with the inner man and as a woman with the inner woman. In the wish tree, the opposite-sex image (the inner woman or the inner man) calls, so to speak, to connect with a concrete man or with a concrete woman in the outside – the inner woman of a concrete man wants to connect with a real woman similar to her, in order to become experiencable for the inner man in the concrete encounter. The same is true for the inner man of a concrete woman.

In the wish tree, the identity of a man in his chest space becomes first his general desires and then his concrete desires in the area of the solar plexus. These two levels correspond to the "deep dreams" and the "everyday dreams".

For this minor chakra there is the most extensive tradition of all the minor chakras.

This chakra is called "Kalpa-Taru-Chakra", "Kalpataru", "Kalpavriksha", "Kalpadruma" or "Kalpapadapa", which all means "wish tree" or "tree of life".

This tree also plays a major role in Indian creation myths – among other things, the gods stirred the ocean of milk at the beginning of time with the help of this wish tree, that is also the world tree. In the myths this tree is connected with life, wishes and milk (mother, abundance, holy cow).

The wish tree is also often associated with cats, lions or lion cubs, which is probably an indication of the strength of this chakra. Possibly it is also a reminder of the two panthers or lions of the Neolithic hunter goddess.

The tree of life Kalpataru is guarded in the beliefs of the Indians by Kinnara and Kinnari.

Kinnara is a flying apsara ("angel"), a devata ("demigod"), a horse/bird-man, a musician and a protector of people. He is the eternal lover who was never a child and will never become a father and who is always united with Kinnari.

Kinnari is his female counterpart – a dakini ("goddess/angel"), an apsara ("female angel"). She is sometimes called "Ashokasundri", i.e. "sorrow-less beautiful girl“. In one myth, she was born out of the wish tree as a daughter for Parvati, who was lonely because her two sons had grown up. Parvati's husband Shiva adopted her as his own daughter.

Kinnara and Kinnari are easily recognizeble as the inner man and the inner woman who eternally love each other and who are eternally united with each other and who have never been children or become parents, but always remain the inner archetype of love between man and woman.

On some chakra overviews two minor chakras are mentioned, which seem to be identically equal to the wish tree in respect to their location: the "Surya Chakra" (sun chakra), which is represented as a small sun, and the "Chandra Chakra" (moon chakra), which lies directly under the sun chakra and is represented as a small crescent moon.

Since the sun represents man and the moon represents woman in Indo-Tibetan symbolism, these two minor chakras probably represent the inner man and the inner woman.

The most frequently mentioned qualities of this chakra are self-confidence, personal responsibility, the ability to tackle things, being "carried by life" and generosity.

These qualities are consistent with the theoretical derivation of the qualities of this intermediate chakra from its location: the radiance of identity in the heart chakra here becomes impulses in the world.

If this minor chakra is too rigid, the gates are closed, so to speak – then one may refuse to form bonds with other people at all. The rigidity can also lead to being too fixated on one person. Then one may no longer distinguish between the self-image in the heart chakra and the desire in the solar plexus for a relationship with a person on the outside. Then one identifies oneself with the other person, then one's own center lies in the other person – with rather unpleasant consequences …

If this intermediate chakra is too unstable, the gates stand open unguarded, so to speak – then the connection to other people is very loose and erratic and one runs the risk that no intensity and depth can develop.

The healthy state is intense desiring, where one can clearly distinguish one's own identity from one's general desires, but still allow the power of the general desire to flow into the concrete desire – and always remain flexible.

This also means that one always maintains the direction from inside to outside: One wants to live something specific and then looks where and with whom this is possible. As it says so beautifully in "Conversations with God" about this: "First look where you want to go, and then ask who will come along."

2. Thymus Chakra

This chakra is located at the top of the sternum. It is the boundary between the throat chakra area and the heart chakra area.

The wish tree and the thymus chakra are situated at the upper end and at the lower end of the breastbone.

From the location of this chakra, we can conclude that it describes the relationship between one's identity (heart chakra) on the one hand and social self-expression (throat chakra) on the other.

Through this chakra, one's inner self becomes visible to the outside – one shows oneself. This is where the desires for the social forms one wants to create and live in take shape. Here the vision of the longed-for community arises.

One stands by oneself (heart chakra) and shows others who one is (throat chakra). In doing so, one does not bend, one does not conform, one does not try to dominate others – one is as one is, and one shows oneself as one is, and one acts as one is … simple, straightforward, sincere and direct ….

The most frequently mentioned qualities of this chakra and the abilities inherent in it are self-respect, self-esteem, being "at home in oneself", inner peace, appreciation of life, being able to enjoy silence, the ability to put up a fight (immune system) and bliss.

These properties are largely consistent with the theoretical derivation of the properties of this intermediate chakra from its location.

If this intermediate chakra is too rigid, the gates are closed, so to speak – then one may be full of shame and insecurities, then one does not know what to do with other people, then one has inhibitions to make contacts and may be afraid of any attachment.

If this intermediate chakra is too unstable, the gates stand open unguarded, so to speak – then one bursts out immediately with every feeling and impulse and has little room for what the others want or for the essence of the others.
