Any believer that does not preach the gospel does not love one another. Our love for one another consists in bringing men into the awareness of what Christ has done for them. When we hide the knowledge and awareness of what Christ has done on the cross from men, then the love of God is not in us.

In this book, you will discover that as believers, we have been called into one ministry, which is the Ministry of Reconciliation. It is all about how God reconciled with the sinful man on the cross. In reconciling man to Himself, He did not input sin to man, that is to say that He did not lay blame of sins on man, thus sin was imputed unto Jesus Christ, that is to say that Jesus Christ claimed the blame for sins. He is the innocent one that was judged guilty while the guilty ones walked free.

The work of ministry consists in preaching to people around you and telling them to believe that God has solved sin problem by His death on the cross. God solved the sin problem when He gave His life a ransom for all. He took away our sins on the cross and we no longer have it. By bringing men to this awareness is bringing them to the knowledge of the truth. The truth of the gospel is that God by His death on the cross has solved the sin problem. Happy reading!

INTRODUCTION

[10] Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. [11] Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 1 John 4:10-11 KJV‬‬

The work of ministry is the demonstration of God's love to one another. To walk in love is to work the work of ministry and we do the work of ministry because God first loved us and sent His Son Jesus Christ to redeem us from the curse of sin and death.

To walk in love does not only consist in giving people material gifts and showing compassion to one another, as much as these things are good, we demonstrate God's love towards one another when ministry is expressed through us.

[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:18-20 KJV‬‬

We are God's emissaries, and we have our King's command to go into the world and spread the message of the kingdom. It is in bringing outsiders to become part of God's family that we demonstrate God's love to one another.

[6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalm 23:6 KJV‬‬

There is something about the house of the Lord that God desires that we all dwell in Him. Jesus Christ is that House which builder and maker is God and it is God's delight that we all fit into Him, so it is in calling others to come into Him that we demonstrate the love of God and that is the work of ministry.

The work of ministry is not designated to certain individuals or people of certain classes. It has nothing to do with age or academic background. It is the same message that saved you that made you a messenger. Everyone born into the family of God has a responsibility to carry the message of the kingdom, that is how we demonstrate that we love God and one another.

The work of ministry is not a work to earn a living. It is not an opportunity to amass wealth and live large. It is not a meal ticket to eat from people's hard labour. It is walking in love; it consists in communicating God's goodness and mercy to those He died to set free.

God has set every man free from sin and death but howbeit, that knowledge is not in every man, it is in communicating this reality to people around us that we demonstrate love towards them and by doing so, we are working the work of ministry.

[12] This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. [13] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. [14] Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15:12-14 KJV‬‬

The greatest love demonstrated towards mankind is that Jesus Christ laid down His life for His friends. The love we are commanded to demonstrate towards one another is not to go and lay down our lives for them but to show them and bring them into the reality of that man who loved them and died for their sins.
