Foreword
Almost every man probably asked himself, not only once, how he can increase his attraction to women. Some of these men maybe even ask themselves how to get a harem of women who do everything, really absolutely everything, for a man. One possibility was to become a Rock Star provided you can sing and write sings. Another possibility was to become an actor provided you can play act. However, for most men it is probably like for me, they can neither sing and write songs nor play act. If it is so, then there is a third possibility left: Becoming a serial killer. For the first moment, this sounds like an absurd idea or a macabre joke, but you can definitely take this possibility seriously. Serial killers have exerted an incredible pull and fascination on a lot of women. However, not only on women but people from all walks of life.
The reason why is not the number of homicides committed by these killers, but rather the killer himself, how he talks, how he behaves, what made him committing the homicides, what does he do in his leisure time or just the seeking for sensation to escape from the boringness of everyday´s life. Therefore, serial killers are definitely suitable for this purpose because they can be everything but mostly not what you expect them to be. Some of them are artists, some are writers or poets, some are handsome, some are successful at work, some are charming and witty conversational partners or just nice people with whom you enjoy to spend your time. As a result, they mystify people because of their committed crimes on the one hand, and their fascinating personality on the other hand.
Another reason why serial killers are so facinating is Hollywood, because it has popularized serial killers and enabled them to have an impact on society and culture. There are books about and from serial killers , movies about serial killers, documentaries about serial killers, paintings from serial killers and a lot of more merchandise which is often sold at a high price. Apart from that scientists are also engaged in serial killers in order to find out, what makes these people, which you can truly characterize as the imbodiment of evil, so fascinating.
One of these scientist is Kevin Dutton, a professor for psychology at Oxford University and a member of the Calleva Research Centre for Evolution and Human Sciences. In his view, serial killers ,who can live among ordinary people without being identified as a criminal for a longer period of time, are some
